SO IF FAYOSE NEVER BUSTED THEM, THEY WOULD HAVE KEPT US IN THE DARK...... LAIRS..... TINUBU WILL GO TO JAIL AFTER 2015 |
Going by the buzz of both candidates, I believe APC may loose lagos state to a much popular politician like Agbaje.. I rarely hear Ambode's name being mentioned anywhere else apart from being described as a Jaiye Jaiye Man.... !!! Does anyone else share my views that Ambode may loose at the polls? After looking at the credentials of Both Candidates, JK seems more qualified and intelectually sound, than AMBODE... Why did Tinubu make such a Terrible choice?? |

Having worked with him on the YDM (youth democratic movement) project, I got to know quite a number of nairalanders in person and Barcanista happened to be one of them. As a key player in YDM, Barcanista and a selected few including myself had up to 200 volunteers, some volunteered to make donations in various forms. Due to several death threats I received, and for safety of my loved ones still based in Nigeria, I decided to shut down my original nairaland handle (GREAT1)... Barcanisa never demanded a penny from any of the volunteers or donors, neither did any of the committee members. Very few nairalanders are prepared to take d risk Barcanista took, by revealing his real identity, a lot of political commentators on here are not prepared to do such. I remember when a militant from portharcourt sent a chilling message to the YDM account, it was dealt with appropriately without fear or intimedation. Before we condemn someone lets get to know them first, that's my advice to those nailing Barcanista. We hoping to begin the YDM project soon after the elections are over. And we hope to add more genuine people to the board of committee members... God bless nairaland God bless YDM God bless Nigeria |

Obasanjo is a pained man. He has lost everything and there's nothing left for him to hold on to if not to find a backdoor into the power house again. It's not unusual for old men to crave and cling on to power, especially African leaders, (Biya, Ghadaffi, Mugabe, et al). Obasanjo desperately needs power and that is his game plan. I can understand Jonathan has completely frustrated him by making him entirely irrelevant in PDP and weeded all his allies away and that is seriously affecting Obasanjo. "He whom the gods want to destroy, they first make him mad". A normal old Ex-leader should be a statesman and act as an advisory agent to the present leaders but Obasanjo can not do that because in the first place he has no Family to turn to. He is estranged with his children already after sleeping with his son's wife and the public disgrace meted out to him by his daughter. To add insult to injury, the "clueless" one has taught him a very important lesson at his old age. Jonathan has checkmated him using Kashamu Buruji to limit his influence on South-West PDP, (talk of dog fighting dog). And his old nemesis, Tony Anenih is Jonathan's henchman. Jonathan has taken ALL from him and completely dismantled his structures. No political power anymore, and more painful no family to soothe him. When Jonathan wins the election (it would hold and he will win!!!), he would have successfully pulled out the greatest coup and the real change in Nigeria's political history. The "clueless" one has stepped on lot of toes, looked at them eyeball to eyeball and dared them. Little wonder why the whole world is against him. On March 28 a new dawn will emerge in Nigeria's history. The final departure from the scene of the old men that has refused to let Nigeria be, with Obasanjo and Buhari leading the failed packs. APC can keep shouting change all they want and they can keep accusing PDP for 16 wasted years but the facts are barefaced, 80% or more of the erstwhile PDP members that destroyed Nigeria for years are now in the APC. The real change is Jonathan, the "clueless" one. |
calebo101:permit me to republish this... Barcanista needs to get his facts right.. |
OBJ is an international figure because he has built a relationship with the west by furthering their interests in the case of Bakassi Penisula. If OBJ changes his style and becomes like an advocate for human rights or something serious, do you think the west will invite him, they will brand him a rebel. |
this question might sound silly, but whats on every political stakeholder's mind will be "did GEJ solely end OBJ's political career cleverly? or was it OBJ's attempt to taint GEJ that brought his own ruin?? The lack of influence as a former president can be hard to bear, in the case of OBJ.. will he resurface after the election is over to proclaim himself the prophet of Nigerian politics?? |
KanwuliaJara:GEJ's failure to lock up OBJ is a sign of Loyalty regardless of political differences/influences. Don't forget GEJ never forgot where he came from, and thats why he will never lock up any political dragon. Because he knows that OBJ is a pawn on the chessboard, because he downgraded himself due to over-heating of the political settings, and now his words don't have weight anymore. if he had refrained from making public comments since those 2 letters, he would still have being a mystery to the political scene. Now everyone knows that OBJ is only looking for attention.. which is abit cocky. Locking him up will make GEJ look weaker aswell, because GEJ is burning the bridge that brought him to Aso rock, rather than look for ways to rebuild it. The case of Ibori was misfortune, I believe GEJ had to go after Ibori because he felt threatened. With Ibori not being at the political scene, it gave governors like Akpabio, and most recently Fayose the opportunity to fill the void. Though both Governors don't really have much influence or connect as Ibori did. One thing we all have to understand is that, For a Southern governor to have an influence in Nigeria, he must have the Loyalty of at least 60% of the Northern Governors. this was how Ibori built his empire. By funding Yar'adua's campaign, it brought him greater power, because non of the northern Governor was ready to spend that many billions to bring Yar'adua to power. The respect Ibori earned was what made GEJ feel threatened, because he knows, he is unsafe. Also lastly, lets not forget GEJ is a novice to the mainstream naija politics... Amaechi and co are hungry lions who were trying to snatch the meat from GEJ's mouth. You cant keep those kind of predators with you as political alleys. They will sell you out easily, because they want power for themselves. However forcing Amaechi & others out of the PDP only gave GEJ the much needed rest of mind to focus his energy on the serving governors who have pledged their loyalty. Though there are some governors who are secretly working with APC, its up to GEJ to know wen to retailiate them |
And the malam who messed this glory up wants us to vote for him when he can't even speak good English.... Na wah oooo |
mastercee:bros na winch you be sef? how you go give human being that kind advice? |
yibomustgo:LOL JUST AS IT WAS PREDICTED LOL.... THE REAL RIGGERS ARE THE ONES WHO WROTE THIS... !!!! |
The way Nigeria has been programmed is that, the South has no political force. Over the years the North has built it's political empire by alegiance of various oligarch families, e.g the Yar'aduas, The Abacha's, the Babangidas. The only way a politician from the south east or west can gain power, is to blend into one of these circles. |
Why is it that those who are causing chaos in this our beloved nation are still allowed to walk freely without being checked?? Majority of them are illiterates who believe because they are from a particular region, the country belongs to them.. After analysing a series of fiery speeches by our beloved "freedom fighters", as they call themselves, and then matching their words with action, I drew a different conclusion. Those guys are as bad as the armed robbers on our highway. They know that the only way they can survive is to continue to blackmail this great country. As crazy as Americans, they so much cherish their whitehouse... Aso Rock has now been turned into a place for questionable characters and people with no integrity. Now my question is this, How Long can we go on like this?? Very soon, other heads of states will be avoiding visiting Nigeria like a plague, because we have dragged the name of our country into a mud. I watched a video over the weekend, and GEJ made a very grave mistake by introducing his former boss, Depreye Alamiesegha in a rally at the expense of his own integrity.. Do we really value integrity in Nigeria?? How many upright men are still around or alive... We can only hope for change. This is our moment, and the change we want is to see our country's lost glory and pride restored. If the outside world see our level of seriousness, they would take their hats off for us. God bless Nigeria Vote with your conscience. |
