About the relationship between alert and APL; here's my take:

1: It is said that during the 2011/2012 recruitment both the successful and the unsuccessful were paid the dreaded TP; and the amount paid during that time was much better than what is being paid now.

2: Now times have changed. Why will a company be too eager to pay successful applicant when is it trying to cut cost? Illogical right?

3: However whether we like it or not the only logical explanation to this is that they are trying to quickly settle or compensate unsuccessful applicant (Please note: I'm only thinking out loud, not in affirmation. thank you.)

4: Finally everybody who put down their account number will most likely be paid but the mode at which they are doing it, is suspicious.

Finally, please this is simply me thinking. Attacking me is irrelevant to me.

He is not aware of all these theories you guys are talking about. He is not like me, not someone that reads NL or does online stuff. I'm always the first person he talks to on this NNPC matter.

He was thinking either it was an integrity test (NNPC testing whether he will return the money or not) or someone that is a staff of NNPC mistakenly sent money to his account (coincidental with a time he was undergoing NNPC recruitment) and he wants to refund it.

He did all these alone in the past few days.

He later bounced it off me and I told him what was happening, that it is NNPC tfare. He is still worried an NNPC tfare will come from a private account (rather than company account). That's admittedly strange to me too, but I still allayed his concerns, that it is tfare reimbursement.


In any case, he had already sent email to NNPC even before contacting me. So let's hope NNPC replies him (which I doubt).

What "important update" or information do people expect to get from nairaland at this stage of the process?... perhaps you'll find out from here that a letter is being written to be sent to enquire about the delay in paying the transport fare? Lol

I only opened this thread after I was invited for the interview because then I needed important information. Since after my interview I've been here every day because all of us here have something in common, and reading the playful comments reminds me that we're all anxious and hoping for the best.
These jokes aren't hurting anybody so please, allow them. In my opinion, I believe the official NNPC twitter handle might be a more suitable place to receive "important updates", not nairaland
