The US has confirmed that between eight and ten Russian generals have been killed in the war in Ukraine. Ukraine has claimed the deaths of 12 generals so far, according to ABC News, but Russia has not confirmed the figure. Some of the deaths have been disputed by Russian officials. Major General Magomed Tushayev was allegedly killed during an ambush by the Ukrainian security service but Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov later posted a video said to show him alive. Lieutenant General Andrey Mordvichev was said to have been killed in a Ukrainian artillery strike on the Chornobayivka airfield in the Kherson Raion according to "preliminary information" from Ukrainian authorities.
