isangjohnson: @ TeckGeek777. Those that are well informed know what they want and no amount of online market strategies can change their minds. Whether a customer is buying grade A cells or grade B cells or brand new cells at whatever price, time will tell. Each time I remember a guy here called Casualobserver, who wrote detailed analysis about grades of cells and the cause of their premature dead with the back up videos, I knew there were a lot of well informed guys here. Well informed guys, generally won't have any issues unless in situations where bad cells are intentionally used to couple the battery packs. Good products markets themselves without corporate marketing. I remembered some pages back when someone recommended Valto's pack to another. But warranty clause is needed in business, even china that produced these cells gave warranty of 5yrs (Lithium 3.2V EVE 280Ah Cell (LF280K) Li-ion Phosphate LiFePO4 Battery. 5 Year Warranty on Cells - Brand New Auto Grade (Grade A) Cells with 5 Years Warranty). |

dollarnaira: Money hard ooo I gree wella. But wat if the warranty na just mouth. Documented means it MUST be attached to the battery packs and signed by the seller and sent you video/screenshot evidence before sending it to you after payment. If such existed, then the buyer can take it to the next level legally or otherwise if he decides to use this method. Besides, it will also ensure the seller use genuine cells without playing any shenanigan. |

Valto: i just hope u are not misunderstanding the post anyway, cos the jos guy JEMAG is a not a regular here. he only advertised here once and that was yrs back! Am not, imagine the short time he has used that pack to be paying 50k for a damaged or swollen cell yet no solution. If they was documented warranty he would have activated that clause and this issue would have been resolved. Even your battery pack when one user reported issue with it here 3-4 months ago then you were ill, you resolved it without further complaints from the user. I must commend your recent price I saw on 48v 280A Grade A EVE Cells, that it's almost 200k diff from Selina from china, which is no brainer waiting for length of time. So @Valto 5yrs is a good warranty for Grade A EVE Cells at the very least! |

dollarnaira: Haba bros. Your taste bud hard o. Boss money no too easy to make for naija like before, imagine the stress that guy will be going through now. At the very least 3yrs should be given for grade B battery Packs and 5yrs for grade A battery packs. Even Felicity frequently talked down here gives such, since Grade A EVE are better packs than Felicity as claimed, I believe they should give more years than Felicity, this is my submission boss! |

JustCryptos: Good evening DIYers. Please bare with me, it's a long read.
I think it's time to bring this to the larger house maybe I'll be able to get tangible help.
I purchased my first lithium bank from the Jos guy (jemag) in December 2022. The capacity of the bank is 24v 110a. In August last year, I purchased another battery bank 24v 100a from @valto.
I already noticed that my first bank had a hard time running from night till morning. On most nights it does by 2am. Reason I opted to purchase a second bank.
My night time load is between 100 to 200w (two 60w standing fans). So at the very least, I expected the Jemag battery to last till morning.
The way my system is setup, I have 1.2kw and another 1.8kw on both sides of my roof. Each set of panels go to their individual CCs before going to the batteries.
I began noticing significant deterioration in March this year. The battery may be full but shuts down within 30 minutes after a 200w load is introduced.
Upon closer inspection, I noticed there was a bad cell inside. One of the cell drops from 3.2v to 2.4v within minutes, triggering the BMS to shut off.
When I contacted the Jos guy, he proposed sending the bank back to Jos from Port Harcourt, an unnecessary step if you ask me. I opted for DIY, opened the bank and saw that one cell was seriously swollen.
I notified him again but he was angry on why I opened the battery. He was particularly about sending the bank to Jos for them to compress but I refused. This guy barely responds to messages.
Mind you, he used Sinopoly cells to build the bank. I asked if he had a replacement and he said yes, I paid around 50,000 for the replacement in May 2024 only for him to call days later that the cell they found was swollen but in perfect condition.
With no alternative at hand, I asked him to send the so call battery. That was a mistake on my part. When it got to me, the rating was not only different (3.2v 200ah) but the battery was worst than the existing piece.
I decided never to contact him since he never checked back. I abandoned his battery since March.
Now to my question:What can I do to salvage my battery? Do I sell of as scrap? Are there buyers? The way I see LiFePO4 Battery Packs from local builders here, if sellers are not ready to give documented 5 years warranty on Grade B and 7 years warranty for Grade A, I will suggest the buyers look elsewhere. My 20 cents! |

Dam5reey: The client enjoyed his set for about 2 months and requested an upgrade! We sourced the product with the client while choosing low-cost and efficient products, from Panels to inverters and batteries in a transparent manner. Installation was carried out, and the client did the load test, showing that he can now power all his 2 regular 1HP Hisense ACs, a Refrigerator, and a Pumping Machine without waiting for the Grid. Video coming soon on my YouTube channel.
5 X 570W High-efficiency panels. (780K) 6.2KW inverter (450K) 5KWH (1.25M) The total package is under 3M Naira. I don't know why Chinese love to lie about specs. If 3484w is 62% of this Sako 6.2kw Inverter, it therefore means that the Total capacity of the inverter is (3484w * 100% / 62 = 5.62) 5.62kw and not 6.2k as claimed. Thank goodness am not expecting to load it more than 82% (4.6kw) of it total real capacity. Nice setup though. |

isangjohnson: I do not have any personal issue with him. I don't know him and he doesn't know me either. We all came here to share ideas, do our various legit business and help others to solve their issues. That was the purpose GeorgeD had from the beginning of this forum. Earthrealm later joint with the purpose. Bigrovar, Saipro, Niyi, McTrinity, Ojeysky and others came in and this forum was very attractive. I took my time to read their messages and I saw how matured these big guys were handling issues...... No single pride and arrogant in them and these are guys I respected so much and I consulted them every time I have issues on solar system. Dam5reey1 started well also and I used to respect him too but along the line he derailed and started taking advantage of so many things here, attacking people's opinions and packaged fault claim to deceit people here. At times, he would convinced those who need urgent help here to come his Whatsapp page so that no one would know about his ugly deals and politely counter it. Check page 1657-1658 for confirmation. Someone asked Earthrealm for his Whatsapp number in page 1777. This is the standard.... People should know your value and look for you and not for you to beg people to come to your WhatsApp page. In business, especially online business, we should be able to have evidence of whatever products we advertise other wise people will look at the claim as fake. I carried out capacity test on 280Ah 48v 14kwh grade B Rept cells a few months back on page 1657 and pulled a total of 13.6kwh and I still have a lot of pictures and other proof of Eve cells capacity test that I've done. This is EXACTLY what he could do to back up his claim. I'm still waiting for his two capacity test claim: 5kwh lifepo4 battery powering 4kw loads down to the lower knees of the curve and LF280K cells tested to be 300Ah. Just wait, maybe he hasn't done the video yet. But in all you guys should maintain peace. |

isangjohnson: I don't understand what you're taking about. Go to the Ev website and you will see 50Ah cell with 1C charge and discharge rate. You can only deceive a few people here with your fake claim of 4kw distress load's test on 5kwh battery bank and not people like us. I repeat, I will NEVER believe you until you drop the video and the let me see the behavior of individual cells working together as they approach the cut off voltage at the lower knees of the curve. I've been carrying out capacity test on Eve grade B cells, Catl grade B cells and the last one I did was on Rept grade B cells to show people here their performance. I posted the details/evidence on page 1657 of this forum and you may go there and check.
I'm still waiting for your video Boss. The test you referenced on page 1657 was for Catl Cells, can you post link for Rept cells? Also, as at April you said you would post capacity test for Hithium cells, still waiting for it in July. Have done the test now? |

A hybrid inverter in place of felicity standalone (even 7.5kva felicity hybrid inverter is still okay) and a badass 48v LFP pack within your budget is the way to go. Valto: good morning. we last chatted on 27th April about the bms not connecting on your phone, which i later learned from your installer dam4reey that it later started connecting. i also discussed about voltage parameters settings issues with him, which i honestly believed every issue has been resolved. i am quite surprised that u are posting this review this morning without reaching out to me for over 35days! about any recent issues. i could have easily swapped the bms, or better still replace the entire battery, if u had reached to me recently about any issues still persisting. this issue seem strictly BMS ish, not about cell Grade! Nice, just continue with JK BMS since it offers more compared to JBD. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by TechGeek777: 10:38am On Jun 02, 2024 |
AllyPolly: This is my personal and honest review about Valto. I bought a 15kwh LiFePO4 battery at 2.8M from him April this year, which is supposed to have a "Premium BMS". This system was installed by Dam5Reey1 (God bless this man). We had other options (with communication and better features) but then, we thought let's patronize our naija guy, a decision which i have come to regret. During the process of installation it was almost like we were chasing this guy to give answers to necessary questions on battery (it is always single to few words without clear instructions). Just on the third/forth day after installation, the BMS began to misbehave (we were unable to view the battery readings on the provided mobile app). The only "solution" he came up with was an image of battery voltage reading with respective battery equal. Is this what I paid for?. He even asked sarcastically that "is the battery not working?". Which means since the battery "is working", i should forget issue of the BMS, who does that?
Is a functioning BMS not part of what I paid for? He never provided any working solution to the problem till today neither did he checkup to see if the issue has been resolved or even ask how the battery is doing.
I woke up today with the system off due to low battery because I was unable to check the status of the battery. I am not even a heavy user. I use only 1 TV (during the day), 2 fan, and my Freezer (not always on), with few bulbs.
I am leaving this out here for others to see. If i had seen a review like this, i would not have gone ahead with the purchase. You might have a different encounter but this is my personal experience with his much talked about "Grade A" cells! Although Valto has not yet said anything about this, but his Last seen: 9:21am. @Valto please come and tell us what really happened, else we will take all he's saying to be true. 2.8m in this economy is not small money. Remember one bad review will create bad impression about you and thereby reduce sales. @Isangjohnson has long been saying no Grade A, or could this be bug/issue with JBD BMS? If it's JBD BMS fault, better start using JK BMS to avoid future occurrence. We wait for you response on this! |

For those intending to store inverter for long period(1yr and above), power on the inverter every few months(3 months) to ensure components stay in good working condition.
This helps prevent capacitor degradation and keeps the battery charged(if still connected to battery).
Dust, Heat, Extreme Cold & Hot Weather can affect the lifespan of internal components. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by TechGeek777: 11:55am On May 27, 2024 |
Dam5reey1: That's Discharge..
Again you have exposed more reasons why we shout LFP battery
at C10 is where you get 200AH.. At C5 you get 182AH At C3 you get 166AH At 1C which you never even attemp. You will only get 132AH and Voltage would have sagged to 9.6V before you can achieve that..
50A Max is the Bulk charging current just as stated 0.25CA. to prolong your batteries do only 20A, 0.1C charging He didn't provide enough information. 0.25CA(25%) should ever be the highest. 50A * 48v = 2400w. Unless he's prioritizing solar input during the day, he should add more batteries to parallel it to 4s2p (if setup is less than 3 months). 20A * 48v = 960w (This is too small the way I see his load and pv capacity) 0.15CA(30A) or 0.2CA(40A) is the best he should charge. He should have asked these questions before buying Panels. Due diligence is required when dealing with RE. |
