Dam5reey1: Just a Note sir, C-rate is for both Charging and Discharge..
C10 is 20A operating Current for both. Not just for discharge.
Even if you charge at that 80A, the Battery voltage will rise quickly and the Charging current will start to reduce..
This will also result to inefficiency cause when sun is blasting his panels won't be able to push available energy into the battery.
That's why some systems don't last, they are boiling the battery thinking 80A is okay since it's written on it.
At 50 DOD, meaning you only need to push 100AH into the battery, it's best to charge at 20A as per C rate, so in 6-8hours your batteries should float. Okay boss, you are very correct at bolded, but I just don't want to be more knowledgeable than the manufacturer. Was even surprised seeing 80A, was expecting 40A Max. |

kristien4: Thanks boss. I appreciate the info. I wanted to ask, if i add 4 more batteries to make it 8pieces. That's 4s2p(400ah), can i increase the charging current too? If the battery is less than 3 months you installed the system, you can add more batteries, provided you buy same battery Ah, model and ensure they are same voltage before you connect them together. |

Sapiosexuality: What could be responsible for an inverter reading 0 watts when the sun in early morning sun. I noticed these fluctuations yesterday. It moves from 1.5kw to 500 and even to 100w and less. What could be the problem? This is SAKO SUNON PRO, maybe Low Input Voltage. Whenever you see low output from your panels, always check the PV Input Current & Voltage; then multiply both to see if it matches what you see as the output in Watts. |

Your battery is rated C10(i.e, you shouldn't discharge the battery in less than 10hrs)
200Ah/10 = 20Ah discharge current * norminal voltage(48v) ==> 960w(Don't discharge more than this at any given time).
80A is your Max Charging Current 80A * 48v = 3840w (Don't charge more than this)
Submission: Based on your Pv production of 3900w, your charging Wattage is good.
DON'T discharge more than 960w if you want your battery to see 3-5yrs! |

moneyest: Congratulations on winning the FA cup boss👏🏾
SAKO has seriously caught my attention lately. Do you know anything about their support services? It looks very solid and affordable but the problem now is that I don't know if it's part of the chop and clean mouth crew like my man Wesley Fofana Sneijder
Money is extremely hard to come by and throwing millions into the atlantic ocean is definitely not part of anyone's agenda in this great tinubulation Make we manage the cup na, maybe ETH go win EPL next season, the insults too much from Blue fans. I know they have office in Alaba, am sure they will handle support for you. 3 years warranty no be joke. SAKO no be FOFANA. I was told they're out of stock for less than 5kw. Go for 5.5kw or 6.2kw and maybe remote Wifi if you need such, but am sure you would. 5.5kw starting voltage is 120vdc, nominal is 240vdv. 6.2kw starting voltage is 60vdc, nominal is 360vdv. I prefer low starting voltage due to bad weather. Any new product is more likely to be SOLID to gain trust, hence 3yrs W*******. Contact them for price. Less than 470k should get you both 6.2kw & Remote Wifi. I prefer them to Growatt of 700k plus with 1yr Warranty. Sellers and Agents, am not spoiling your market oh, just answering questions. |

moneyest: I was also considering it because of the big name - Schneider. I never knew I was better off with even Andre Onana inverter Anybody who avoids honouring warranty is a thief. Let's not sugarcoat it. That guy made us proud today, FA Cup na still something. What's the essence of selling something you can't vouch (Warranty) for? 1yr Warranty is nothing. If you're buying inverter or battery bank, minimum should be 3yrs, money no be water since past administration. Go for SAKO Inverter. |

Xanderone: Update on the AC:
So I toyed around with some of the functions few hours ago.
° Immediately after turning it on, I started by running it in Jet mode to rapidly cool down the room. Consumption ramped up to the usual 1070w -ish. The room cooled down from 30deg to 27deg in about 30 minutes after which the Jet mode then automatically (as is indicated in the manual) changed from Jet mode to regular mode. The indicator on the remote control also indicated the change.
° At that point, the consumption had dropped to 940w and another one hour it dropped further to 840 watts. At this point I pressed the "Gen mode" button repeatedly but expectedly no obvious response or change in consumption.
° Next, I fondled with the "mode" button and to select the "Automatic mode" on the remote. Then following the manual instructions on the use of the mode function (picture attached), I selected "number 2" (keep room cold), and the internal fan ramped down its speed but the vanes kept moving and I also noticed that the external unit fan also stopped and the consumption dropped to 15w. It remained at 15w for about 30 minutes after which I drove out somewhere and left it on but monitoring the consumption on the phone. Apparently it was recirculating the already cold air that is in the room.
° Another one hour and I noticed that the consumption had ramped up to 271w and stayed there. Since I wasn't at home, I couldn't tell what was going on. I came home after 2 hours and noticed that the external unit had kicked in, and was probably responsible for that ramp up to 271w from the initial 15w. The room temperature remained at between 26deg to 27deg. It's four hours after and the consumption had further dipped to 267w
It seems there is something "energy saving" about this unit after all. Although I assume temperatures still get to as low as 18 deg with these ACs, the 26 degrees notwithstanding is adequate for a lone me in the room.
I guess cos of that "automatic mode", if it again senses ambient temperature rise due to presence of increased number of people in the room, it will likely ramp up the consumption further to do the job to maintain the expected cooling temperature.
NB: Pardon the long story. I just felt being detailed enough helps to inform readers, and maybe prospective users, better on these things. Enjoy your AC bro, it's energy efficient, maybe na you no know how to configure am since. No go buy another AC. BTW, which inverter are you using and what app is showing you that reading? |

isangjohnson: It's always good and advisable to have a moderate profile which keep Lfp within the working voltage ranges without stressing any cells. Discharging below the knees of 3.0v for each cell is not really advisable. Thanks for this. In other word, Don't discharge less than 48v(which is around 9-10% Remaining), and don't exceed 58.4v when it's still charging, lastly don't Exceed 54.4v(100% Charged) when the battery is Resting (Not Charging). Above is for 48v Battery Pack. To get similar range for 24v(Divide above values by 2), while for 12v(Divide by 4). |

Compliant: Same thing happened to me some days ago here in abuja. My 3.5 inverter just went off during the lightning while my 2.5 inverter installed beside this 3.5 is just working normal.
I had to call the installer to get explanation as to what happened because i have a surge protector installed.
He came around to check ONLY for us to see that someone had removed the surge protector and the only person that came around to do maintenance work was his boy, we called him and he said he saw the surge protector there but did not touch it, meaning a ghost came to my house to remove surge protector guys.
Today i was told by the repairer that the board is bad and a new board is around 140,000 to 160,000 ( i dont know true this is) Which inverters are these 3.5kva & 2.5kva respectively? |

Hybrid600: Chai! Sorry for the loss. Seems it's the season of lightning in Benin. It also got to an inverter at a friend's house. I had asked if he's earthed the new building and he said he paid the electrician handling the project to do it. I got a call that the system was showing error code which translates to a short circuit problem. Had someone go check out the earthing of the house only to find just a naked thunder arrestor chilling on the rooftop without any form of wire connection attached to it. I wonder why some people are just somehow. He paid huge amount for the earthing to be done and yet nothing was done. One of our Benin brothers spotted. The lightning and rain in Benin is something else compared to any part of Nigeria I have seen. |

samnaija: What the guy is saying is the truth, i have personally been burnt , by one of those dealers infact the number one he mentioned.
These alaba dealers are terrible, i bought an inverter from him, i requested for the inverter after sale service center, he told me if anything happens within the warranty period bring it back to him for free repair. Under 2 months inverter failed, took it him , 6 months later no inverter.
Waiting for parts story started , he will pretend has if he is on a call to china requesting for your parts.
I later found out the repair center actually are his boys at the back of his shop. What they do is wait for customers to bring in their inverter , now you that just brought your inverter in today will be placed on a waiting list, the parts from your inverter brought in today will be used to repair another customer inverter brought in months before yours. The cycle will continue like that. The union in alaba is the most useless of all, go an complain about any dealer they will turn around and support their own.... Nawa. I rather buy inverter from direct dealer or seller from here e.g. Zeestone99 than buy from Alaba. The above is likely to resolve issues just to protect their names. |

Oshomo12: You may need to go for lower panel wattage, say, 255w Trina, voc 38v, ISC around 9a I think. You will be doing 12 in series and 2 set in parallel. 38v * 12 Pcs = 456v still more than 450v, unless he connects 11s2p which should give him 418v |
