Easter celebration symbolizes the death of the Lord Jesus Christ which is borne out of God's love towards mankind to redeem us from eternal damnation and give us hope of eternal life through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It also reminds us on the need for us to be renewed in our Minds and spirit so that the resurrection of Jesus Christ will not be in vain over our lives. For us to have a peaceful society which will enhance socio-economic development, we must learn to live together in love, as one big family, devoid of ethnic differences, religious bigotry which are capable of hindering our peaceful co-existence.

As we celebrate this all important season, I wish us all a happy Easter and best of luck in all our endeavors in the remaining journey of the year.

Hon. Bunmi Ibiloye an aspirant under Accord party in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun State has highlighted some of his achievements and programs he facilitated while in the public service of the Osun state government before his retirement in August 2017.

The achievements are as follows;
1. Establishment of World bank assisted community and social development project (CSDP) in Osun state in 2007 with the State benefiting over #7billion assistance from then till date on various priority needs of communities ranging from rural & urban electrification, town halls, water projects, health centers to mention but a few.
2. Establishment of Grooming Micro finance outfit in Osun State in 2014 with the aim of empowering our women folk to improve their income through their trades and vocations. A sum of #600million was distributed same year to a total of 18,000 women at 600 women per LG. As at today, Grooming Microfinance outfit has injected over #2billion into the economy of the State through soft loans to Women.
3. Facilitated the provision of 366 handpump boreholes to 128 rural and urban communities across the 30 local governments and Area office of the State.
4. Organized the first World Class Roundtable Conference in the State in year 2006 which led to the extent of support given to Osun State by Development Partners throughout the World till today especially from UNICEF.
5. Facilitate the construction of 122 capital projects in 122 communities across the 30 local governments and Area office of the State ranging from Civic centers, Palm oil and Gaari processing Centers, health centers, blocks of Classrooms to mention but a few.
6. Training /Empowerment of Farmers on improved Farming System through the provision of farm implements.
7. Training/ Empowerment of youths on Income generating activities and so on.
8. Facilitated the formulation and packaging of a master plan for community development in Osun State.

Tragedy has struck in Osogbo, The capital of Osun State on Monday evening when a dark shading Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) squashed a Junior Secondary School (JSS) student of a government school to death. As of the season of documenting this report, the irate swarm who accumulated at the scene of the mischance had set the vehicle on fire.

It is Dr. Nicolas’ idea that if security is addressed, it will boost the productivity in the economy and further encourage more local and foreign investors to do business in the country, boosting the economy through taxation and developing communities through their performance of the statutory social corporate responsibilities.

Improving power generation through alternative sources

The federal government under Dr. Nicolas Felix will through its power sector explore alternative ways of generating and distributing power to the masses at affordable rates. Corruption will be fought headlong using the existing anti-graft agencies such as EFCC and ICPC by strengthening it and making it independent of the presidency and interestingly through unconventional ways ranging from, prompt and due payment of salaries, wages of workers, and pension of pensioners, purposeful and conscientious leadership, efficient tax collection process to enable judicious usage of tax payers monies for infrastructural development, giving mortgage loans to workers to ensure every worker owns a decent accommodation, provide free healthcare services to both civil and public servants as well as the masses through the National health insurance scheme, Also, with the social security in place to carter for the unemployed and the elderly, workers will see no need to embezzle money to carter for themselves after retiring from public service. Punishing offenders to serve as a deterrent to future offenders will also be a good measure. Lastly, to make political office less attractive and lucrative only interesting to those passionate about service and leadership positions.

Improving Education in Nigeria

Since education is a major determinant of growth, pillar of development and measure of knowledge and qualification, and being that the foundation level plays a very important role in the intellectual growth of individuals, the teaching and learning processes will be reformed and checked by Dr. Nicolas foundation to ensure effectiveness for producing sound pupils ready for admission into the Nigerian universities to reduce the level of half baked and employment unworthy students.

In addition to regular review of curricula, our school laboratories, workshops and vocational centers will be adequately equipped with the necessary modern facilities by Dr. Nicolas Felix.
