Otay, please could you explain to me what the difference is between this one ur selling and the one that Midas 02 displayed and just sold on another thread of this forum for such a wide price disparity. Yea, I know urs is XLE and his is LE. But the price disparity is 2.8 to 5.4 that is almost 2ce the price of Midas02's. Hope u dont mind. Thanks. |
NAIRALANDERS, pursuant to my earlier post. I was on ebay a few moments back and saw the vehicle with this VIN 4T1BE46K17U073077. Its so cheap and looks good ?(on the net though). Its presently at Hainesport, NJ Near Philly, United States. Anyone able to help? Meanwhile, i will keep posting opportunities until someone is able to help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

However, I dont have much money for this. Can I get one for say 2m or thereabouts. Please dont laugh at me. Who no like better thing. Ur urgent attention is needed nairalanders. Thank you |

Hi Inspired, just sent u a mail. After reading, you can try and contact me. Lets talk. Thanks, |
Hi brauneyes, just sent you a mail. |
Hi Viperman, what is the last price for this vehicle. And, where and when can it be viewed? Will be calling you soon. I actually want to buy a car. But, there is not much at hand for now. Regards |
Hi Everyone, I have been following the various contributions with interest. As for me, the issue here is TRUST. Well said Ivvie, no big deal in buying a salvaged vehicle - right. But, when you pass off such vehicles as 'clean ' and sell them at the same rate as such 'grade one' vehicles - then i have an issue with that. Making a quick buck off another's ignorance does not make business sense at all. I was avictim once, and i still have the vehicle. I have since bought two other cars for since after that fiasco. I DID NOT RETURN TO THE DEALER THAT SOLD THE DAMAGED CAR TO ME. I mean, how does the guy account for the lost patronage and the fact that i can never take anyone to buy cars from him again. So, fellas, the issue is that of trust. Only FULL DISCLOSURE can save the day. BE OPEN, TELL US THIS IS A SALVAGED VEHICLE, TELL US THE LIFE HISTORY, LET IT REFLECT IN THE PRICE - THEN LET THE BUYER DECIDE WHETHER TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY. Life need not be this hard, simple its a matter of trust. Thank you. |
brauneyes, you are the man. Thanks a million. I am indeed grateful for the selfless service you have rendered here. Thanks once again. Now, let me relate my experience to you such that other contributors here do not fall victim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought the Nissan Pathfinder from a 'Big Carshop' in Agidingbi, Ikeja, lagos. One of the original 'big boys' you can think of on the Agidingbi corridor. I wont want to mention which part of the country he is from so as not be termed a tribalist. Within a week of buying the vehicle, the radiator bursted while I was in traffic. Area Boys took 5,000 naira from me right there to help me push the vehicle out of the way. This was around 10pm when i was on my way back hole from the Island after the day's work. It was only then that I discovered that the radiator had been worked upon. He promised ordering me a radiator from the States and that I should keep the car for a while. Knowing how long it might take i was forced to shell out a huge sum to buy the radiator after about two weeks. And, all this within a month of buying the vehicle. I bought the car in January 2007. The radiator did not come until six months after he had promised me. About two months into buying the car I started hearing some noise at the back. The vehicle was not moving properly. I had to ask my mechanic to strip the vehilce down at the back only to discover that it had been in an accident at the back and that it was not even properly repaired that was why the vehicle was making such nooise. Frm then on the boot started creaking and making some tiny noise in the back when you get into bumps or rough road - still showing that the vehicle had probably been rammed from the back. Also, from what you just posted here, I can see that the odometre was rolled back. It is pretty clear now that the dealer was unfair and dishonest. Well, I leave all that to the fact that i was too trusting, and all because the guy came highly recommended. Today, I still have the Nissan ant it still looks okay from outside. But the creaking noise in bumps and rough roads have put me off it. The only thing I wonder is when the vehicle had an accident. From what you reported here it appears to still be in some good shape before it was sold off. My guess is that the vehicle was smuggled into Nigeria from say Cotonou and must have had an accident then. As for the Camry, I was the one that bought in November 2007. From then till date, it has been a smooth ride. Infact I have travelled with it several times and it has been sweet driving it. Drives close to new as possible. It was well maintained by the previous owner and it shows. All I just did was to service it and put it on the road. For me the Camry is money well invested whilst the Nissan was a fraud carefully concealed under the veneer of good business. Life need not be like that. Once again, thanks a million and GOD Bless you. Regards |
Hi brauneyes, having seen some of the good works you have been doing on this site I might be interested in dealing with you. However, it depends on the surety u r giving the person making the deposit - with regards to the vehicle and stuff like that. However, contrary to your indication of agreeing the price on arrival of the vehicle in naija I would prefer a situation where we agree the price ever before you ship the vehicle to naija at all. Also, are u talking of delivery ex-port (that is on my door steps) or i do the clearing myself. Depending on what you think of all I hav said lets talk. Even when one goes to buy the vehicle from a carshop in Lagos one still buys damaged/ accidented/ katrina/ lemon/ salvaged vehicles. So, one has to be very careful. I was a victim once - when I bought a Nissan Pathfinder last year January. So lets talk. Regards |
Hi, please could you do me a favour and help me check out these two vehicles. Nissan Pathfinder JN8AROSY8WW214155 Toyota Camry 4T1BG22K3VU126637 I will very much appreciate your assistance. Meanwhile, I am not afraid of what you might come up with. 'Cause I already have both cars. One of them was a terrible mistake and I still have issues with the 'Big Car Dealer' in that foisted the vehicle me. I just want to see my suspicions were right or not about the guy and the vehicle he sold to me. How I wish I had known of this forum in January 2007 when I bought the said car. Please help check it out and I will then relate to you all the problems I have had with the car. Thanks. |
Thank you guys. Its nice to know Nigerians are up-to-date. I better start saving ![]() Cheers |
Hi Nairalanders, I have seen the Toyota Corolla 2009 on the net. And, it looks beautiful - in a cute way - though nothing near the Camry 2007. Has anyone an idea of whether the car is in Nigeria already. If not, when can we expect it to be in Nigeria. Also, the price seems reasonable. Looks like a must-ride for Toyota buffs. i definitely would love to buy one if the price is affordable - say in the region of N 2.2m or N 2.7m. |
Seunbballo, you just took the words out of my mouth - I could see the car is in the UK at the moment. Another issue is the fact that the steering is on the wrong side. What do you propose to do about that? |
Old Boy, these pictures are not opening. Can u post them on in here. Regards |
Hey, forgot to tell you that i currently have a 1999 Camry along with a Pathfinder Jeep of same year. Whilst the Camry is a noiseless wonder on wheels, light to the touch and smooth to drive. The Pathfinder is quite noisy and not as sharp as the Camry. I would have loved the 2007 Model, but am not too sure I can deal with that at the moment. So, I am for the 2000 or 2003 model. Talk to me. Rgds |
Old Boy, I am intrested intrested in both cars. How do i get in touch with you. Lets talk. Rgds |
Seunbballo, I am seriously intrested. Let me have a pic of the car, then we can talk about the price. Basically, its the specs on a car and the condition of the vehicle that would determine the selling price. Regards |
Hi, could you try a Toyota Car. Say Camry 2003 or 2007. Or, any of the Toyota SUVs. Let me know what you thinhk. Regards. |
My man, your best bet will be to go for a toyota or nissan brand. Cherokee Jeeps are not as durable as toyotas or camrys. And, if you are taking a loan to buy the car. Then your best bet will be one that will give you no surprises. Go for a Prado or Pathfinder. Or, at worst buy a toyota car. The Camry 2007 is quite a beauty. Regards. |
thegame, the Camry 2007 Model definitely is no match for the Honda in question. You need to check out the styling and other features of the Camry, it beats the Honda anyday. And, with mu experience Toyota Brands are generally more durable than Hondas. Overtime, Honda seems to have lost touch with reality. For Year 2007,the Camry is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 |
