What a very dumb question.

Its obvious you do not have any EU residence permit, because if you do, you should know the answer to your question.
no matter what, is it wise for anyone to make this kind of comment to someone who simply asked a question? that is not the way to welcome someone. if you dont have an answer to it, or you think his question is inappropriate, at least you can treat him with respect especially as he is a new member of nairaland.

Justwise, do you have to always support her even when she is arrogant? i do like you and i respect your work here, but i won't support you when i think you r unfair. you have seen funky cursing people here and there (something that tells how uncultured & illmannered she is) and yet you support her. that is not good
TravelRe: SOME OF THE REASONS MOST NIGERIAN WOMEN ARE NOT IN EMPLOYMENTS ABROAD. by Tegese: 10:34am On Oct 28, 2010
wishlolia:
nigerians and their primitive mentality. whats the problem? someone said 60% of nigerian women are ugly (according to the way he sees them), but you people are raining insults on him for saying his mind. how is it difficult for you to understand a simple logic that people see things in different ways, and everyone has his or her own choices and preferences? cant you allow a person to be honest with his own opinion or can you force someone to see things the same way you see them?
as a matter of fact, what country is there in the whole world with 100% beautiful women? how is it very wrong to say 60% of nigerian women are ugly? if you have issues with the figure it is up to you to contest it in a civil manner instead of involving in barbaric comments like cowards.
Well said wishlolia, even the fact that you are female yourself makes your comments more reasonable and sincere, not like that silly and arrogant area girl who curses here and there thinking she is all that, but little does she know she is only fighting herself. @ topic, i dont really know if those claims are the reasons nigerian women are not working abroad because, i have never given a thought to the matter. but i must admit that there are more unemployed nigerian women than those in employment. and as for the presentation of nigerian women, i must admit that there is no way that there are more beautiful women in nigeria than the the ugly ones, but still, i will go for a nigerian girl any day, a good looking one though, but i avoid any girl who believes in juju. but if really nigerian girls are the most beautiful of all, why then do people encourage themselves that you dont have to marry beauty but character? but as for me, i can not marry a monkey because of character

@Siena, Mr Pataki, Funkybaby

Afternoon my people,

I applied for UK visa this month and i was refused on the basis that:

1. I only submitted a photocopy of sister and my brother in-laws marriage certificate (My brother in law is my main sponsor whilst a family friend in the UK is my 2nd sponsor). The ECO said that they didn't believe the relationship between me and my brother in law as they could not verify the photocopied marriage certificate.

2. The bank account i showed for my 2nd sponsor (the family friend in UK) is overdrawn by £2k, though it has a monthly inflow and outflow of £15k-£20k. The ECO said the balance of the account being withdrawn meant that my second sponsor wouldn't be able to afford my Visit (even though his invitation letter only stated that he would provide accommodation and feeding, nothing else).

Anyway, i was not given a right of appeal as it was a visit visa. I was then told by my UK sponsor to write a letter of reconsideration and include the original marriage certificate. My family friend also sent his business bank statement for the last 6 months (not overdrawn) and also, his corresponding company registration documents.

My question to the house is this: Where or to whom do I hand in the letter of reconsideration, along with all the other documents to?

Do I have to go to the new visa office in lekki, or the BHC office at walter carrington (VI)?

Many thanks in advance for any help/answers received.
other people could have had a word or two to say, but they might not be willing to comment because you specified the people that you wish to hear from.

SportsPres. Jonathan Suspends Super Eagles by Tegese(op): 6:56pm On Jun 30, 2010
Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has suspended the national football team from international competition for two years following their poor performance in the World Cup.

More StoriesNigeria team page
Nigeria coach proud of players
"Mr President has directed that Nigeria will withdraw from all international football competition for the next two years to enable Nigeria to reorganise its football," Ima Niboro, Jonathan's senior communications adviser, said.

"This directive became necessary following Nigeria's poor performance in the ongoing
FIFA World Cup," he said.

Nigeria were knocked out in the first round.

After meeting the country's World Cup organising committee, Jonathan also said the accounts of the committee should be audited.

"If any financial misappropriation is discovered, all officials responsible will be held accountable," Niboro said.

Jonathan's decision came a day after the executive committee of the Nigerian Football Federation met to review the team's first round exit, in which they picked up a single point and finished bottom of their group also containing South Korea, Greece and Argentina.

Niboro said the sports minister would be writing to FIFA shortly to inform them of the decision. He said the minister for the federal capital territory, Abuja, had been instructed to build a "Football House" where the team could be based.

"The problem of Nigerian football is structural. We need to reorganise the structures and there is need to withdraw from all international football competition so that we can put our house in order," Niboro said.

A statement said the federation apologised to the "federal government and all football-loving Nigerians for the early ouster of the Super Eagles from the World Cup" and added Nigeria would seek to play more friendly matches to get more experience.

"It's the right decision ,  President Jonathan has made a bold step to clean up the rot. We need to move the country in football," John Fashanu, a former England footballer partly of Nigerian descent, told local sports radio.

"We cannot be held to ransom by anybody."

Some Super Eagles fans were shocked by the decision.

"Sounds to me like the president is trying to score cheap political points ,  the next major international competition is two years away anyway," said one irate fan in Lagos, asking not to be named.

The NFF said it wanted Swedish coach Lars Lagerback, appointed on the eve of the finals, to stay and put together a wide-ranging programme to harness young talent.

The statement also said the federation disagreed with those claiming Nigerian soccer was in a dwindling state.

"No previous board has qualified Nigeria for all major tournaments internationally," the statement said.

The government instruction to withdraw could prompt sanctions from FIFA, who have taken a strong stand against political interference in the sport.

A FIFA spokesman said: "We have had no official information from the Nigerian FA about this case specifically but in general FIFA's policy towards political interference is well known. Our statutes do not allow for any political interference."

Nigerian sporting administrators have often been accused of corruption and incompetence and the federation was roundly criticised after sacking coach Shaibu Amodu in February, just four months before the World Cup finals.

Amodu was dismissed because Nigeria only managed to finish third at the Nations Cup finals in Angola in January.

Nigeria were banned by the Confederation of African Football in 1996 when then President Sani Abacha withdrew the team from the African Nations Cup finals in South Africa because he had been criticised by Nelson Mandela over the judicial execution of political opponents.

They could not compete in African competition for two years but were able to qualify for the 1998 World Cup in France.

The CAF refused to comment on the Nigerian president's decision when contacted on Wednesday.

I will suggest that you move to Denmark with your spouse. You and your spouse may have a better opportunity there than Sweden and Finland. Norway could have been better for you but unfortunately they still apply restriction on the movement of Bulgaria citizen. Of course, Finland and Sweden are nice country too but your wife is likely not to find job so soon due to language barrier. And for you to be officialy registered in any of those countries your wife must be exercising her EU treaty Rights.

I am sorry to say but your really chatting dust now.
Go do more research, a naturalized british citizens, and those who acquired it by birth, descent, or ancestral, all get the same type of british passport and all are eligible for visa waiver program.
which those it specifically says 'Naturalized british citizens are not eligible for visa waiver'? kiss and while will they be refused entry? because they criminals or pose health risk or just being a naturalized british citizens?
@segzeybaba. i know a british citizen of pakistani origin who was bounced back at an american airport and placed on the next available flight to the uk. ive been following this thread even though i didn't make comments and i observe that your entire comments in this very thread are not being meaningful and it seems you r too lazy to read between lines of meaningful comments. sorry if this sounds harsh, no offence. lets look into the matter with vicjustice information as opposed to your claims, i think you r sooo wrong to think that a british passport doesnt show whether the bearer is a british citizen by rights or by naturalization except otherwise that the BP doesnt show place of birth.
i would say that vicjustice comment hold water because he provided a link where it can be confirmed. so instead of taking it personal, why dont you just visit the link and see if what he claim is correct? i did check the link and i am convinced.
the link is still here you can check it out yourself and hold your peace for goodness sake

I don't really think its an unfair practice, Uk embassy made it clear that if anybody submits fake/forgery document that its 10yrs ban. They don't necessarily need to write it down again. When they refused u a visa the reasons are given, so if u have submitted fake/forgery document then u know what that means.
then, would it not be fairer if the uk embassy informs applicants who are under the ten years ban instead of accepting their application fee for a visa that will never be issued them?
some peep keep on applying for the visa even up to 5 times without knowing that they are under a ban, and each time, the embassy keep on accepting their application fee com'onnnn!

I think every would be immigrant's case is unique. What you were or rather "whom" you were at home or native country will determine success/failure in ANY country you migrate to.

It's the person 90 per cent of the time, not the place.
i beg to differ from your opinion, i don't think it depends on the person by 90%, i believe it depends more on the place and environment than on a person if not, why are tallents wasting in nigeria, does it really depend on individuals or on the country?
