What a story. I will advise that you spread the message of 'no to drugs' to those close to you and more. |
Septagon:Thank you for the feedback. I have realized from my little sampling that many people don't just like the space jargons and become disinterested when its getting too detailed. The idea is just to give a local feel to these tech-advances and that it is not only designed for an Oyinbo man to know. Also, many people keep asking me the question, why are scientists traveling to space? I am also an advocate of teaching STEM subjects in our own local Languages. Like I said, thanks for the feedback. JerySmalls:If you dream it, you can achieve it. If you made that statement 10years ago, I would have said, you are joking. But, now it is possible, more than ever before. Imagine the advances we have made in the last 10 years. We built reusable rockets, landed first stages of our rockets and boosters. We have 100 % electric vehicles and much more, autonomous driving and AI. The world is hunting for talents all over, and you have access to these knowledge and more. So please, go for it. |
I would say, I agree with you 100%. We shouldn't all sleep and face one side. Let the people that are politicking be doing that. Let the inventors do theirs, so are the thinkers and the solution providers. We just need a suitable and fertile environment to blossom. But here we are, our survival is dependent on the outcome of a 4 yearly poll and it has profited us nothing since it firs held. Nigeria could as well be a morgue of prospects and ideas. 10. **The hatch system**. Three astronauts died due to a badly designed hatch or door in the Apollo 1 mission during a routine prelaunch test. The astronauts, Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee, were conducting a routine pre-launch test on the launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida when a fire broke out in the cockpit of the spacecraft. The fire spread rapidly, and the astronauts were unable to escape from the spacecraft due to the configuration of the hatch and the pressure in the cabin. They died of asphyxiation before they could be rescued. The accident was a devastating blow to NASA and the space program, and it led to significant changes in the design and safety procedures for future spacecraft.

9. **The Lunar overshoes** The lunar overshoes, also known as lunar overboots, were a type of footwear worn by the astronauts on the Apollo missions to the Moon. The overshoes were designed to be worn over the astronauts' regular boots, and they were made of a flexible, puncture-resistant material that was able to withstand the harsh conditions of the lunar surface. The overshoes were used on the later Apollo missions, starting with Apollo 15, because they provided better traction and protection than the lunar boots that were used on the earlier missions. The overshoes were an essential piece of equipment that helped the astronauts to explore and work on the Moon.

8. **Rolls-Royce RB.211 Engine** The engines were designed for use in large commercial airliners and military transport aircraft, and they were notable for their large size and high thrust. The first version of the RB.211, the RB.211-22, was developed for the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar airliner and entered service in 1972. The engine was rated at a thrust of 52,500 pounds-force and was capable of powering the L-1011 on transatlantic flights. Over the years, several other versions of the RB.211 were developed for different aircraft, including the Boeing 747 and the McDonnell Douglas DC-10. The engines were widely used and were known for their reliability and efficiency.

7. **The Mercury Primate capsule** Because nobody won peme for space, we gas send animal go first make he tell for their body as he dey be for there. Na so we take carry Chimpanzee for this capsule wey you dey see so. Ham the chimpanzee, also known as Ham the Astrochimp, was a chimpanzee who was trained by NASA for the space program in the early 1960s. He was the first hominid to be sent into space, and he flew on the Mercury-Redstone 2 mission in January 1961. Ham was chosen for the mission because of his intelligence and physical abilities, which made him well-suited for the rigorous training required for spaceflight. He was trained to perform a number of tasks in the spacecraft, such as pushing buttons and flipping switches, and he successfully completed his mission, reaching a maximum altitude of 157 miles and returning to Earth safely.

6. **The Mercury Spacecraft** Before man carry comot go Moon, na this Mercury spacecraft bin help us practice how we go dey travel go space. Na this one carry the first American Astronaut, Alan Shepard go space and bring am back for our backyard.

5. ***Neil Armstrong space suit*** This Neil Armstrong's space suit, dem make am especially for the Apollo 11 mission. The suit get many many layers of material. In fact, the oyinbo plenty for wetin the materials they do- “A pressure bladder, thermal micrometeoroid garment, and outer protective covering, all of which worked together to protect the astronaut from the harsh environment of space”. The suit get all the thing wey fit allow the astronauts them survive. You sef go don think am, the suit big no be small, but he still they flexible for their job. Na the one wey Neil Armstrong wear na him dey for this picture.

4. **The F-1 rocket engine** The F-1 rocket engine na the type wey dem use for the first stage of the Saturn V rocket, take do the Apollo program wey carry astronauts go Moon. The F-1 engine collect oga for single-nozzle, liquid-fueled rocket engine wey dem ever build, he fit fire 1.5 million pounds-force comot for ground. Na one kind science student kerosene this F-1 engine dey use ooo-RP-1 and dem come combine am with oxygen wey be like water. The F-1 engine no too get wahala, he come still dey reliabile, come finally add enormous thrust wey fit carry load comot for ground. |
3. **Apollo 11 Capsule and the heat shield** Na this capsule carry the first 2 humans Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, go land for the same moon wey we dey see for night. As the capsule be like danfo for this picture so, the name na the Command Module and them attach am for wetin be like where him dey park for moon, Lunar Module. For people wey sabi the matter well well, them say “It was made of aluminum and had a crew compartment that could accommodate up to three astronauts, as well as a separate equipment compartment that held all of the necessary instruments and equipment for the mission”. ***The heat shield*** Make una imagine okada man wey they drive without helmet and he come dey speed, na breeze go scatter him face finish. For spacecraft wey dey comot obodo Earth and him come dey return, na heat be him own problem. Na why dem design wetin dem call the heatshield wey dey protect everything wey be dey inside the capsule. For Apollo 11 command module, na ablator them they call the kind heatshield wey him get. The heat shield be dey attached to the back of the capsule and make he fit protect the spacecraft and its crew from the kind hell fire heat and friction generated during reentry into Earth's atmosphere. The ablator material get better ingredient like resin wey dem apply for honeycomb-like structure, give am strength tanda and him fit withstand the extreme heat and pressure of reentry. As heat dey burn am, na so he go dey peel away like onion.

2. **Generation of Mars Rovers To your left and right is the Spirit and Curiosity Mars rovers. Dem get better instrument for bele and better camera for head and sabi do experiment wey science students no fit do. And because human never get liver go do this kind experiment themselves. For many many years dem don forward better picture and data to us. Based on logistics, we done dey sabi Mars small small. As Spirit don waka plenty places for Mars, he don finally jam one pothole and no fit move again.
|
1.**Simulation of the International Space Station (ISS)** Many obodo countries collabo come build this station wey dey travel above us reach 250 miles This station na where many experiments wey dey better our life for planet earth dey happen. U go surprise say this station dey see 16 sunrises and sun sets for one day because he dey run 17,000km/hr. Compare this one for wetin you dey run for third mainland bridge, 100km/hr E get one water cleaning system wey dem develop for the ISS, something like that fit help places wey no fit get clean water. He get plenty disease wey we fit treat well well now due to experiments wey dem perform for the ISS. Cancer and osteoporosis be dey part of the disease. The results wey dem carry come dey give other people jobs sef.

The judicial arm should ensure cases across board should be treated with the same urgency as Political cases. My opinion. |

All our political elites are same of the same. Those that mean well, elements close to them don't mean well. Trust anyone of them at your own peril. |
Oga, you spoke well. |
MadamVanessa:What then is the man not capable of doing in all the laid down requirements? |
Salvador1:Yes, we can't afford to, but that cannot be achieved through words of affirmation. Its only through politics and politricks. Not in this Naija? You are not even a major player in any of this process. |
God1000:As much as I hate it, realistically he is going to win the primaries and plausibly the general election. Except of course if we will be deceiving ourselves. We are simply making the same mistake we made with Buhari, we focus too much energy on demarketing a bad candidate than promoting a good one, by so doing granting the former more favour. |
dandig:They treat transcript as one evil forest that no one can ever enter except select few. Very annoying. |
Lol I have heard so many transcript stories with one of the schools listed up there. One of the transcript officer said and I quote. "It is not everybody that applies that will get their transcript" Another one: "I don't know why all of you are going overseas, if we ask overseas people for transcript, will they come here?" Another one: "Are you a Muslim or Christian, please start praying o, I have done my own as an officer to help you fast track" Another one: "You applied for transcript and you sat down at home and can't follow up" Etc etc |
