I submitted my Lithuanian study visa application to VFS Lagos 4th January. I got a reply from the embassy that my passport is being returned to VFS. I’m a bit worried by that, I didn’t get called for an interview. I was expecting an interview as part of the application process. Should I be worried? Is it a problem that I wasn’t scheduled for an interview?

Sure, they can still granted u visa, we started lectures in my school from September and i applied for the visa in October, and i see it as an added advantage because i told the consolar that i have been attending online classes

Hello, I wish to clarify something, thus, i will like to ask two questions;

1. If a study program commences on Feb 1, what is the deadline to apply/submit document at VFS?

2.Secondly, If a study program deadline has passed and the application is still pending at the embassy, Can they still issue the visa even if the commencement and registration date had already ended??

Yes, you can pay using what is called Form A. Visit your bank branch with your university details, they’ll do it for you. You would need the following:

Requirement for Foreign School Fees payment

-Applicant must be account holder of the bank he/she is requesting from
-School admission letter must be provided.
-Bank details of Institution or school to be provided.
-Account must be funded to cover Naira equivalent of requested amount.
-Authority to debit. A written instruction to the bank to debit your account.
-Duly completed Form A application form
-Applicant must possess valid Nigerian International Passport or Foreign passport with Nigeria as place of birth. A copy of the biodata page of the passport to be submitted for processing of the request.
-Applicant must possess Valid Visa


Before covid, it used to take about a week for the school to get tuition. Now it will take longer, especially with the Dollar scarcity. It can take 3 weeks or more. If you are specific about what country the Uni is in, that would be good.


If you’re going for a first degree and you submitted only WAEC to the university that gave you the admission, I don’t see why they’ll need any documents from your current Uni. If you can share what country it is, I might be able to help better. You can send me a private message so we can chat via email if you would like more help.

Confirmation has to be sent from your previous university by email to studies@vdu.lt
The deadline to present confirmation is 21st of December.

Meanwhile, I got a rejection mail for one rhe courses of stating that my result and overall motivation was lower than other applicant. while the other application says under processing.

Hello, I am having a difficult time creating account on the skvc website. anyone having same issue?
Klaipeda University rejected my application because according to them my WAEC score is low after they made the calculation. They claimed my score is 57.5% and they require a minimum of 60%. Meanwhile, I also added my HND result to it since I graduated with Upper Credit.
That said, I am applying to KVK(Klaipeda Kolegija) since their appllication is open but they request for Document Recognition from skvc. Anyone having same issue with the registartion on skvc website?

What they mean is that they didn't get enough applicants for the course hence they decided to cancel it for this int-take period.

They also gave you the option to wait and apply next year in the autumn (Sept) or you should look for other courses available at the school.

You won’t undergo another Skype interview neither will you pay another application fee. It means you passed the interview and can either choose another course or defer till next year. I had same issues though in mykolas I chose another course and never paid a dime. I believe it should be the same with your school. But to be double sure ask the officer assigned to you. They are actually nice people

When you chose another course, did they give you the admission?

It simply means that your course has been cancelled for the current intake because they didn't have the required number of students that they expected to have for the course to be taught. ie. If they had a quota of 30 students for the course to be taught or for approval for the course to be granted and only 2 people will be taking the course, it's more economical for them to not offer the course.

You can defer your admission for the same course till next autumn and hope that they get the required number of students. Alternatively, you can change to another course.
If you don't like both options, then you can decline and get back any tuition deposits that you've paid without any penalty since the cancellation isn't your fault.
