Getting a PhD is not at all like getting an undergraduate (or Master's) degree, and it's not a job. In some research groups it feels like working for your family and in others it feels like being ruled by a cruel dictator - neither characterizes doctoral studies. People succeed and fail in warm climates, and also in cold climates. Doctoral studies are close to an apprenticeship, but not quite. They are different for different people in different places. For some candidates, the process can be straightforward (a friend of mine finished in two years, and one of my graduate students finished in three), but you cannot rely on this. Here are the things to keep in mind You are in for a long haul (likely longer than you are planning for, unless you quit early), and may not finish your degree. You can earn a lot more money elsewhere, especially with valuable skills. Your pre-conceived notions for doing research (in general) are probably off by some amount, and insisting on them may lead to a disappointment. You will need to develop many new skills, including speed-reading and literature search, effective presentation, data processing, programming, lab work, social skills, research intuition, tactics and strategy, and more. Work ethics and getting things done are critical. Most importantly, completing a PhD can be easier than what you expect in some respects, and harder otherwise. You need to regularly "scan the horizon", but most PhD students don't do this. To complete your dissertation, you will need to (a) start by doing what you are told to do and establish basic competence, (b) understand what has been done before in a particular field, (c) understand what is desired, (d) come up with something entirely new - something that no one ever thought about before! Some advisors require that these new ideas actually be better than anything developed before - this is much harder and a major difference between advisors. If you succeed, your path will probably not be straight. You will need to learn from your mistakes, change course, actively look for opportunities, and even create opportunities (strong PhD dissertations are usually based on new opportunities). The process of doing research consists of making guesses and following up on them. Many guesses will be wrong. Dealing with this strategically is a major part of being successful - play to your strengths and mask your weaknesses when possible, learn from your mistakes, save partial results, choose your battles wisely. Most importantly, be creative. Your difficulties can be blamed on other people, justifiably so in many cases. But very rarely this is a useful thing to do. Avoiding problems is a much better strategy. Keep in mind that your advisor has the power to make you fail, but no motivation for that. Your advisor does not have the power to make you succeed (without you contributing a fair share). You need to do your homework even when all your classes are over (first, figure out what the homework is), Did I miss anything? - feel free to comment. http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/03/things-you-should-know-before-getting.html?m=1 |
No less than five individuals were feared dead in a continuous conflict between the Hausas and Yorubas In Ile-Ife, Osun state. Report reaching Tellymoore team was that an Hausa man in the process of trying to separate two Yoruba women who both had a misunderstanding was slapped by one of them who was a "town-gboro" driver's wife. The man wondering why she had slapped him and without a waste of time retaliated by beating the woman mercilessly. Individuals living and trading around lageere, sabo have all rushed to safety. Shops and all other structures in the ranges are as of now deserted. Policemen expected to cool the situation were said to be beaten mercilessly by angry mob. Angry mob were seen wrecking products belonging to the Hausa dealers at lageere in retaliation to the destruction supposedly done by the Hausas at sabo market is coming as principal pioneer of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu is expected to be in ile-ife town today. He actually admired America and wanted to make Germany in America’s image using Russia as Germany’s “West”. The Volga as Germany’s Mississippi. He was an avid admirer of the British people (fellow Aryans) and of the British Empire. He respected the Roman Catholic Church and never left the religion, the religion of his “sainted” mother. He adored his mother and was truly saddened when she died. He thanked his mother’s Jewish doctor Eduard Bloch and allowed him to leave Europe for America. His cook Frau Manzinalys was Jewish. At first, he tried to get the Allied countries or even the neutral countries to take the Jews of Germany. They refused at a conference in Evian, France in 1938. The only country willing to take in Jews was the Dominican Republic. When he invaded Poland he had no idea that it would trigger a world war. He was truly stunned when British Ambassador Neville Henderson handed him Britain’s declaration of war on Germany. He did not want to invade Britain in 1940 and would have preferred Britain as an ally rather than an enemy. He had no intentions of ever invading the United States. Hitler, a hypochondriac, suffered uncontrollable flatulence all his life. spasmodic stomach cramps, constipation, and diarrhea, possibly the result of nervous tension. Agonizing digestive attacks would occur after most meals so he would disappear into his room after a dinner. This problem may have played a part in destroying Hitler’s health and, worse, his sanity. His physician, an incompetent quack, had Hitler’s faith after he cured a painful case of eczema and provided temporary relief for his stomach cramps. Unfortunately the cure consisted of swallowing large amounts of strychnine, atropine, testosterone, amphetamines, and cocaine which would have poisoned him. Ironically the flatulence continued. All these drugs would have resulted in moods that swung from euphoria to violent anger. This would explain Hitler’s erratic behavior, his inflexibility, paranoia, and indecision. Three alarmed doctors tried to intervene when they saw what was happening but Hitler, under Dr. Morell’s spell, fired them instead. Eva Braun, concerned about the needle tracks from all the injections, called Morell “the injection quack”. Himmler and others wondered if the doctor was deliberately poisoning Hitler. It would appear the Dr. Morell may have inadvertently helped the allies defeat Nazi Germany. Hitler was a great movie fan, often watching two or three per night. He was especially fond of musicals, “with lots of leggy show girls”, according to Albert Speer. He predicted in the 1930s, “I will either go down in history as the greatest German who ever lived or as a cypher.” As it turned out, there was a third possibility. He named DON QUIXOTE, UNCLE TOM’S CABIN and ROBINSON CRUSOE as the three greatest books ever written. Notice, by omission, that he favored no German author. In fact, he thought Goethe overrated and Shakespeare far better than Schiller. In 1942, he made a bold prediction about Israel: “If the Zionists set up their own Jewish nation in Palestine it will be only after they have conquered other world centers of power, but not before.” Hitler was a proud anglophile: He admired Shakespeare, the British conquest of India, which was to serve as a role model for German rule over Russia, and the fact that “unlike us Germans, the British don’t breed traitors.” His top air ace, Adolf Galland, told how Hitler forbade the bombing of British cities, “because they are Nordics, just like us.” Only after the RAF bombed Berlin and Hamburg did Hitler order the Luftwaffe to aim for London and other UK cities. Contrary to popular belief, Hitler was not a teetotaler. Although, not a habitual drinker, he enjoyed wines sent to him by admirers from all over Germany. Here’s one last story, told by Mussolini (in private, of course): “Hitler is the second-rate leader of a first-class people. I am the first-rate leader of a second-class people.” He liked dogs and had several of them. He liked children. He had an eye for the ladies. He suffered from a real heart condition. He probably had Parkinson’s disease. He wore reading glasses. He was a vegetarian. He was a teetotaler. He did not like horses. He feared cats. After visiting those I needed to visit at ladies' village popularly called maintenance (an area where we have the most expensive hostels per bed space) at Obafemi Awolowo University. I left the place precisely 9:15pm, so I had no choice but to board a cab back to campus. I got to campus gate, got into a cab and sat at the front with a lady. Here, two people will have to sit at the front while four people would sit at the back. I was tempted to speak to the lady I sat beside, though I pretended to be very busy with my phone even if i was and I noticed she was watching me working on my phone. Until we got down at the last Bus stop, I still did not even say 'hi' yet inside of me, I strongly felt I needed to speak with her. While we were on the journey, she made a call and from it I could deduce that she stays on campus and was not on campus to read or do something else just like me, but I didn't know the particular hostel. Could it be Mozambique? I imagined!!! But that would be far if i eventually speak with her and we end up walking together. Although i was going to the Post Graduate hall which is not far away from Mozambique but I could not imagine myself again to be at Anglo-Moz, standing with a lady at that time. What do I do? I need to buy bread to eat that night once I get to my department, and I guess she wanted to get something also, do I use that opportunity,? Went to the customer unfriendly shop at our Student Union Building and at the end, I did not buy bread, neither did I speak with her... While I was thinking of the next strategy, she went to get airtime while I used that opportunity to speak to someone I never knew for the first time, so once am done, I could easily meet this lady and speak with her. My discussion with this new person was nothing than have you heard about Tellymoore!!! The discussion was in less than 60seconds because the fellow was not even paying attention and in a hurry, and my target had not left. Before I could blink my eye again, this lady left and probably the next place was to her hostel. I wanted to be sure so I stood still until I could not even see the shadow of her shadow again. In my mind, I gave up that she had gone jare, I would meet someone else... Still, I didn't know why I was just disturbed to speak with her. I started my journey with my own 'leggediz Benz' to post graduate hall, I was walking fast for reasons best known to me until I saw this lady again trying to buy something. I walked pass and tried to walk slowly until I saw a friend and we started talking before i saw this lady walk pass me. I had to suspend the discussion with the friend and started walking fast because this lady can walk fast ehn, like there was a pressure pump under her feet! *deep breathe....finally I met her and I was like 'good evening...could you pleeeeaase spare me three minutes of your time? Before I could finish, she already replied me 'NO', told me that I could also spare her three minutes of my time and asked, are you a Christian? I said yes! And she said 'BYE...JESUS LOVES YOU, less than three minutes, so BYE'? For two seconds, I was lost...what was she thinking ?? And I said 'Like do you know why I called you?Reluctantly, we started walking and talking. I could not believe this girl could even smile not to talk of laugh with the way she was forming strong girl...Sasha; I asked if she writes. I guess that was the exact reason I was following her and after her reply, I found this peace inside me and then told her what I intended to tell her and everyone I meet. This part one student, from the prestigious faculty of technology, department of food science and technology is a wonderful poet, story writer, intellectual critique...she is actually an awesome lady though annoying!!! The three minutes extended to thirty minutes where we spoke on different things, most importantly academics and spiritual. No one needed to tell me that I had a successful day already because I had a Chance to speak positive and encourage someone. At that point, inside of me, I did not want to ask for her number and while I was thinking, she asked for my number and gave me hers. Girls ehn...shake my head in honor!!!! Tellymoore's World | News | Entertainment | Education | Sports | Thrillers/Stories | Poetry | Interviews | Words Of Truth | And Lots More | ▼ February 22, 2017 9 Things You Need To Do In Your 20's To Become Successful Before Age 30 At a time when the recession is biting harder than ever, there is nothing great than having to learn on or two secrets of wealth, especially how to acquire it at an early age. “In a free-market economy, anyone can make as much money as they want,” emphasized self-made millionaire, Steve Siebold, who has also studied over 1,200 of the world’s wealthiest people, and it is never too soon to start. To help you reach the seven-figure mark by 30, we have rounded up 9 important nuggets of advice from people who became millionaires at a young age, as well as those who have studied hundreds of self-made millionaires. That one would become a millionaire cannot be quaranteed, but doing these things won’t hurt your odds. 1. Focus on earning “In today’s economic environment, you cannot save your way to millionaire's status,” writes Grant Cardone, who went from broke and in debt at 21 to self-made millionaire by 30. “The first step is to focus on increasing your income in increments and repeating that. “My income was $3,000 a month and nine years later it was $20,000 a month. Start following the money, and it will force you to control revenue and see opportunities.” Earning more money is often easier said than done, but most people have options. Read about 50 ways to bring in additional income, some high-paying jobs you can do on the side, how you can earn passive income, and the first step to take before starting any business, from an entrepreneur who earns up to $170,000 a month. 2. Develop multiple streams of income One way to earn more is to increase your streams of income. In author Thomas C. Corley’s five-year study of self-made millionaires, he found that many of them develop multiple streams of income: 65% had three streams, 45% had four streams, and 29% had five or more streams. These additional streams include real-estate rentals, stock market investments, and part-ownership in a side business. “Three streams of income seems to be the magic number for the self-made millionaires in my Rich Habits study, but the more income streams you can create in life, the more secure will your financial house be,” he wrote. 3. Save to invest, don’t save to save Writes Cardone: “The only reason to save money is to invest it. Put your saved money into secured, sacred (untouchable) accounts. Never use these accounts for anything, not even an emergency. This will force you to continue to follow step one (increase income). To this day, at least twice a year, I am broke because I always invest my surpluses into ventures I cannot access.” Investing is not as complicated or daunting as we make it out to be. The simplest starting point is to contribute to your N401 000 if your employer offers one, and take full advantage of your company’s N401 000 match program — which is essentially free money — if it has one. Next, consider contributing money toward a Roth IRA or traditional IRA, individual retirement accounts with different contribution limits and tax structures — which one you can use depends on your income. If you still have money left over, you can research low-cost index funds, which Warren Buffett recommends, and look into the online-investment platforms known as “robo-advisers.” The key to consistently setting aside money is to make it automatic. That way, you will never even see the money you are contributing and you will learn to live without it. 4. Don’t show off — show up “I didn’t buy my first luxury watch or car until my businesses and investments were producing multiple secure flows of income,” writes Cardone. “I was still driving a Toyota Camry when I had become a millionaire. Be known for your work ethic, not the trinkets that you buy.” Need inspiration to save more and spend less? Read up on tips and strategies from regular people who saved enough of their incomes to retire before 40. 5. Change your mindset about money “Getting rich begins with the way you think and what you believe about making money,” self-made millionaire Steve Siebold explains. At the end of the day, “The secret has always been the same: thinking,” he emphasizes. While the masses believe becoming wealthy is out of their control, rich people know that making money is really an inside job.” 6. Invest in yourself “The safest investment I have ever made is in my future,” writes Tucker Hughes, who became a millionaire at 22. “Read at least 30 minutes a day, listen to relevant podcasts while driving and seek out mentors vigorously. You don’t just need to be a master in your field, you need to be a well-rounded genius capable of talking about any subject, whether it is financial, political or sports related. Consume knowledge like air and put your pursuit of learning above all else.” Many modern-day successful and wealthy people are voracious readers. Take Warren Buffett, for example, who estimates that 80% of his working day is dedicated to reading. Read more and beyond, Readers are truly Leaders. 7. Set goals and visualize achieving them If you want to make more money, you have to have a clear goal and then a specific plan for how to achieve that goal. Money won’t just appear — you have to work at it. Rich people choose to commit to attaining wealth. It takes focus, courage, knowledge, and a lot of effort, self-made millionaire T. Harv Eker emphasizes, and it is possible if you have precise goals and a clear vision: “The number one reason most people do not get what they want is that they do not know what they want. Rich people are totally clear that they want wealth.” 8. Hang out with people you admire Andrew Carnegie, who started with nothing before becoming the richest man in the US, credits all of his riches to one principle: the Master Mind. The idea is to surround yourself with talented people who share your vision, because the alignment of several smart and creative minds is exponentially more powerful than just one. Plus, we become like the people we associate with, which is why the rich tend to associate with others who are rich. “In most cases, your net worth mirrors the level of your closest friends,”explains Siebold. “Exposure to people who are more successful than you are has the potential to expand your thinking and catapult your income. The reality is, millionaires think differently from the middle class about money, and there’s much to be gained by being in their presence.” 9. Shoot for $10m, not $1m “The single biggest financial mistake I have made was not thinking big enough,” writes Cardone. “I encourage you to go for more than a million. There is no shortage of money on this planet, only a shortage of people thinking big enough.” http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/02/9-things-you-need-to-do-in-your-20s-to.html?m=1 |

Having come across this picture someone sent to us on tellymoore of which the person said he saw first on naij.com, I would like to say this. It is necessary that everyone, not just ladies should be very careful of the way they sit. Not just in public, also in private. The more a lady or a feminine sit improper in private, there is a high tendency of such a person to be unconscious of the fact that she sits improperly in public. For ladies who wear trousers, many of them think they have a leverage to sit with laps wide open. Those kind of ladies are also liable to sit with laps wide opened when they wear skirts both in public and in private. If I can remember vividly, I am aware of the fact that a lady should formally cross their legs properly while sitting but the reverse is the case for many a lady. For this woman in the above picture, who was engrossed to her work to the extent that she did not know how dies she had opened her laps, wearing skirt without wearing tights underneath. It obviously would draw men closer to her. Not for the purpose of business but for other 'unpleasant but pleasant' gratification of a mans mind. This goes to every female...watch the way you sit; dress properly and modestly. http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/ladies-beware-sit-right.html?m=1

I got across to this POEM by a person I call the WOLE SOYINKA of our time who has won several young peotry/literary award locally and world wide. To those who love peoms; this is a must read for you... Title- SICK TIMES With hearts closed, And arts wide opened; They looked on- As a soul gradually turned off Again, The misset sat; On that road of this and that Indeed, its a system of maladies These times are ill With thoughts paralysed, By the hits from selfie sticks A soul laid dying Fingers kept clicking; As pictures of thick betise, Dangled on the walls of truth Gosh! These times are harebrained With enough strength from negligence, The flower finally withered; For every click, Made her demise silky Again, Another gain is gone; Lost to the clutches of harum-scarum Alas! These times are pallid With nude values, These times cough out this and that; As our morals stay sneezing Will and zeal are left shrinking Interests remain broken And wiseness still stuck in ice, For probably, these times are cold We used to care to care And dare to share; When truth wasn't rusted And our roots had it's flair When morals weren't watery And our morale were still thick; Rich in outreaches, That stitched all hitches How long would we blame witches, For the cause of our fall? Daily we hear preaches, Yet we still seem here Here, Stuck in this rock of this and that Surely, these times are snoring; Let sleeping times wake! *-* *Itz_Eden* *©Eden Benibo* A student of University of Benin http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/sick-times-by-benibo-eden.html?m=1

We bring you Daniel Nkemelu of the University of Ibadan, who graduated with 7.0 CGPA. Excerpts: By Dayo Adesulu of Vanguard NG TELL us about yourself. My name is Daniel Nkemelu K. What does the initial K. stands for? Kelechukwu. How did you come about the Yoruba names (Oluwaseun) as it appears between your name on Facebook? I simply converted my native name (Kelechukwu) to Yoruba. I love the Yoruba culture, I’m very Nigerian. Where did you hail from? I am from Nnewi-North LGA in Anambra State. How old are you, Daniel? I’m 24. Could you please tell us about your parents. Who are your parents and what are their occupations? My dad, Mr Daniel Nkemelu, is a business man and my Mum, Mrs Augustina Nkemelu, is a caterer and fashion designer. They are based in Lagos. I can talk about how amazing they are all day, but let me simply say, they are God’s gift to me. What exactly do you mean? My siblings and I were brought up with full and proper parental guidance. We were taught about morals, honesty and love for every man. These are useful qualities in today’s world. I think it is sufficient to acknowledge my Christian background and avoid mentioning a particular church. Church is a delicate topic in Nigeria and I don’t want to distract the aim of this interview. How many children have your parents and what position are you? I’m fifth of seven children, four boys and three girls. I’m the third boy and fifth child. Where are they and what are they doing? Some are married, some are working, my younger ones are schooling. What’s your course of study? Computer Science. I heard that you graduated with a 7.0 CGPA, is that true? Yes, It is true, I did. Could you please tell us how it happened? It was challenging and interesting. Studying at the University of Ibadan is a rigorous process. My initial intention as a freshman was to do well and hopefully get a First Class result. However, after my first session, I started having loftier dreams… In the end, I was able to achieve it. In other universities, a perfect score is 5.0. Why is U.I's perfect score 7.0. Do you have an idea of it? The University of Ibadan started in 1948 as an extension of the University College, London. UCL used a 7-point scale at the time and we aligned with it. I heard there are plans to switch to a 5-point scale soon, though, I’m not an authority on this subject. Was there anyone before you with a perfect score 7.0 CGPA? I’m not sure. My convocation ceremony would hold later this year, I’m sure the University would make a statement on this after checking the records. Where did you grow up and how was it like? I was born and bred in Ajegunle, Lagos. Growing was fun because we had formal education at school, informal education at home and ‘street education’ on the streets. Tell us about your primary and secondary education. I attended Owhenama Educational Centre (a low-cost makeshift school for children from low income homes) before moving on to Holy Family Private School to complete my primary education. For my secondary education, I attended Chiben Comprehensive College before moving on to Rolex Comprehensive College (both in Iba, Ojo, Lagos) for my Senior School Certificate Exams. Did you ever have difficulty in paying your school fees at that level? We were always sent home for fees; but my Dad always found a way to pay. How were your WAEC and NECO, what were your results like? My WASSCE result was not outstanding but it was fine enough to earn me a place in Yaba College of Technology, where I earned a National Diploma in Computer Science before moving on to the University of Ibadan. I had two distinctions and six credits. Did you ever have difficulty in getting admission and how many times did you sit for UTME? I wrote UTME twice. I missed out the first time. The second time I was admitted to Anambra State University and Yaba College of Technology, I chose the latter. Why the choice of the later, when you are fully aware of polytechnics and university dichotomy? I would say two reasons: At the time, I was guaranteed better practical application of the course at Yaba College of Technology and then there were rumours of a possible conversion to a university of technology, it eventually didn’t happen though. Did you eventually get what you wanted at YabaTech? I did. Yaba College of Technology was a nice experience. I graduated as the Overall Best Graduating Student in the National Diploma category for the 2011/12 session. The knowledge I gained was very influential to my success at the University of Ibadan. Have you ever failed in primary or secondary school before? Well, I might have failed tests and assignments but exams, I don’t think so. What’s your reading lifestyle? My reading pattern was very dynamic. I didn’t have a fixed time or location. My kind of course requires broad understanding of concepts and practical application, so I could spend the whole day programming or reading tech blogs and reviews. I visited the school library occasionally because it was conducive and distraction was minimal. I also held periodic tutorials that made me read in depth, so I could explain properly to others. Were there other things you did to fetch you money while on campus? Yes. I’m a freelance web developer. I did some software projects for people that fetched me money. I turned down some too when I needed to concentrate on my studies. Could you please, tell us about your social lifestyle? Wow, the cultural diversity at the University of Ibadan is amazing. I made a lot of friends and met lots of amazing people. I was not overly outgoing but I attended many events on campus. From Electoral Campaign events, Campus Blasts, Variety Nights… Social life was balanced. What are your future plans? My short term plan is to serve (NYSC) and then get a Masters (or higher) degree. I strongly believe that technology has a huge role to play in Africa’s rise to dominance and shared prosperity, so I have to equip myself with the necessary experience and exposure to be world class. Do you hope to be self employed or work for someone in an organization? This is a decision I would make after graduate studies. I’m open to new ideas and I believe you can make impact from anywhere, either as a Software Engineer in San Francisco or a CEO in Yaba. If I may ask, what’s the secret of your academic success? God’s guidance and support from friends, course mates and family; focus and determination; comprehensive teaching from my lecturers. However, these aren’t secrets, so I would say, there were no secrets. Do you have a girl friend? I need to clarify that there is no correlation between one’s academic performance and their relationship status. It is part of the training to handle both work and emotions. And because healthy relationships help you to get better at what you do; I loved and was loved in return. However, bad relationships or friendships can affect academic performance, sincerely. Girlfriend is not the word; but there are people of the opposite sex that mean so much to me. That’s all sir. Were you on scholarship? I was an Etisalat Merit Scholar and was also awarded by a group of amazing women called Women Connected By Purpose. To what extent did the scholarship assist you? They both came in my final year and they were very helpful. It helped me concentrate better on my studies. Who is your role model? I learn from lots of people. No single person holds that monopoly. From the wisdom of my dad to the love of my mum, the intelligence of W. F. Kumuyi who finished from my school and Faculty and the calmness of E. A. Adeboye, the speaking prowess of Barack Obama and the charisma of Nelson Mandela. These people are great examples to me and many others. What advice do you have for other students? I always tell young people; define what success means to you and give it what it takes. Everyone may not end up as perfect CGPA holders but everyone can excel at something. Be it in leadership, programming, entrepreneurship, public speaking, academics, writing, entertainment and the likes. Be open to learn and do your best to make a difference. http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/it-was-challenging-and-interesting-ui.html?m=1

In a post that he recently shared online, popular entertainer and public affairs analyst, Charly Boy talked about pastors scamming their congregations, and the current state of the nation. He also talked about the need for Nigerians to celebrate their own saying ‘nothing is going to change in a country where Manchester United is celebrated ahead of Enyimba’. See the rest of his post below: "Pastors, Abegi make una stop all this Wayo. Jesus is not a gangster. Stop making people "offers they can't refuse" You promise Heaven if they accept your nonsense propaganda and threaten spiritual torment if they don't. Na only una know God? Na only una God dey buy private jets for? Una own heaven na for this world, our own na when we die," Charly Boy wrote. A Nation without Savings is a Nation Without a Soul; A Nation of 10,000 Companies and 10,000,000 Churches and Mosque is a Nation of Glorified Scammers and Enduring Poverty. We the people gave up and Caved in to the Political Elite whose only interest is their Selfishly Greedy Personal and Egoistic desires. The Nation was Relegated and our today is the Result of our Failure as People Yesterday. Nothing is going to change in a Country where Legislators are Afraid to Enforce "Made in Naija"; Nothing is Going to Change in a Country where Manchester United is Celebrated ahead of Enyimba; Nothing is Going to Change with People who Frown at Hardwork with every opportunity and Nothing will Ever Change When Voting for Criminals becomes a Culture and a Way of Life. Bombs are Dropping, people are dying, Prices keep Rising, frustration hits the ceiling. As politicians and pastors keep dealing, Our graves we keep digging. Our docility killing our humanity, as youths engage in frivolity, It is disgusting how they keep succumbing unbecoming as they keep sagging and dulling. Holding themselves captive by their complicity. #ourmumudondo" http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/charly-boys-message-to-leaders.html?m=1

Without too much words; of course, we need not speak or write English people will not understand or will have to look into the dictionary while reading! Simple and Straight...THIS MENTALITY HAS TO CHANGE In Africa, Nigeria most especially, I guess we have practically upheld to the principle of every man for himself. Imagine a government who considers nothing but what would get into their pockets?? I hope we know that the government is not actually the institution of the state rather, government is 'a people'. Imagine a law maker who is interested in bills that will favour him or the territory he came from ![]() Imagine an anticipating Governor who is also saying that by the time I get there; the money will go round all of you...talking about his family of which when he even gets there, he forgets them like fingerprint by a river bank. Imagine a local government chairman will only work on the road in which the local government secretariat is. Imagine a president's intent is basically his source! WHY ALL THESE?? The truth is this; Far beyond Nigerian government, the system of every man for himself is just too rampant and it is destroying us daily. Of course am not encouraging dependency but it saddens my heart. For instance, we have a family of four (as per four children). Amongst the four, probably two are rich, one is fairly okay and the other is no where to be found. It is only in our own system that we count it joy for the fourth person who is not well to do to be dependent on us (of course dependency mentality kills); by the time it gets too much, we would eventually not help the person anymore saying 'is it everytime'. You know what next? By the time they don't answer again, the fourth person will have a bad intent to bring the others down!!! WHY ![]() Why is it that the ONLY reason why people are moral is for self interest...that I be moral on my way up until I get there..! That is why the rich will get richer and the poor poorer. No rich man desires that a poor man should be half as rich as he is. A rich man will continue to give to a rich man and a poor man will continue to beg from a rich man TOO BAD! Why can't the moral be happy and the immoral be unhappy. It is because we are only passionate about ourselves and ourselves alone. Why can't we have a family wherein we are able to lift ourselves and help each other so at least we can be alright! See ehn! Agree with me that there is almost no family that don't have a RICH MAN! But you know what? That rich man will only want to be the only person shinning and let everyone bow unto him! *wickedness is the intent of man That is why we would continue to have a selfish and failed government; WHY? We all go about with this mentality even before government WHY ![]() And at the end of the day We are killed by generalising failure; procrastination, laziness and dependency mentality. English Premier League champions, Leicester City's chief, Claudio Ranieri, says he needs kindred Italian, Antonio Conte, to win the class title with pioneers, Chelsea this season. The 65-year-old previous Chelsea manager, drove the Foxes to a stun EPL title last season, however has battled in the ebb and flow crusade, lying fifteenth, 31 focuses behind his previous club. Ranieri told journalists, "As a previous Chelsea mentor and as an Italian supporter, I trust that Conte can accomplish the objective. He has demonstrated that the Italian school of mentors is substantial like never before." He has a long haul contract with Leicester which keeps him at the club till 2020, yet he acknowledges his future is not sheltered regardless of last season's prosperity. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has prompted Nigerians not to take part in any frenzy purchasing of petroleum items. Ndu Ughamadu, representative of the partnership, issued an announcement late Wednesday to reject the report of a possible increment in the cost of the items. He said the organization had a 1.3billion liters supply of premium engine soul (PMS), generally called petrol, which is adequate to serve the country for over 38 days. "This supplication goes ahead the heels of reports that a few drivers have started freeze purchasing of petrol, taking after bits of gossip that the administration is going to expand the pump cost of the white item from N145 per liter," the announcement read. "NNPC wishes to guarantee Nigerians that there is no particle of truth in the talk that administration is planned to alter pump cost of petrol. "To be sure, with the resumption of generation by the Corporation's three refineries in Kaduna, Port Harcourt and Warri, supplemented by imports, there is sufficient load of PMS, car gas oil (AGO), diesel and lamp oil." http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/disclaim-rumours-that-fg-will-increase.html?m=1

See What Happened At Amphithearter OAU When Apostle Joshua Selman Was Unaviodably Absent As the scripture says 'surely there is an end and the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut-off'. The UJCM (University Joint Christian Missions) O.A.U as part of Missions 2017, invited Apostle Joshua Selman from far away Zaria of which he accepted but fortunately he couldn't due to unforeseen contingencies. As at 4pm, students began to converge at the famous amphitheater which would be the venue for the program to start by 5pm. However, it didn't start until about 5:13pm. Many a student who were expectant to see the Apostle in live ministeration were not disappointed at all even when at the end of the day, we were told that he couldn't make it anymore. Guess what? God has his ways of doing things in his own way as the scriptures also says 'ALL THINGS work together for good...' Personally, ever since I have been attending UJCM programs at O.A.U, I have never experienced worship as it was today even during UJCM worship night. You needed to be there; words are not enough to describe. Oh my God, the over 5000 full venue(African Amphitheater) was overshadowed with the presence of God. I felt the atmosphere of the Apostle in his absence. All To the glory of God; Pastor(Prof). Abayomi Adebayo stood in place for him today even if it was impromptu as the set man; I can't over-emphasize, IT WAS GLORIOUS!!! Below is the outline of his prophetic preaching. Psalm 2:8 'ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of thee earth for thy possession'. John 14:13-14 He gives us discretionary power to ask what we want. Many times, many of the things we ask for seems far from God to us because we lack the revelational knowledge. But when God prescribe what he has for us, nations are our inheritance. The truth is that we can have a Nation; by redemption, we have got a lot! We have a redefined vision We rise day by day There is jumping of protocol because of us. A late hour is not equivalent with a God ordained hour. If you believe what the world is believing you will live as the world lives. If you live what the bible is believing you will rise above!!! The world your inheritance. There are blessings of the lord and one of them is nations' inheritance; what is missing is lack of direction, lack of understanding, lack of revelation. THE FUNDAMENTALS *it is a year to go back and take time with God: Get out of your busy schedule; make a covenant to think with God as father to child. Don't follow God by routine or by copying others; you are unique and his counsel is unique and specially made for you. *you are asking the question what do I do in your presence? Begin to worship him. God will always make a way even where there seems to be no way. Am assured that no one present was disappointed because we felt the visitation of God powerfully. I WAS BLESSED!!! http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/see-what-happened-at-amphitheatre-oau.html?m=1 |
Isn't it 'unfunny' ![]() At an average of over 150million Nigerians with a good number or enlightened and educated ones, why do we think that a good number of US have the intention or dream to leave this country... Recently, I had the opportunity to be in a meeting with a group of elders between the ages of 63-35 and we were all discussing on the future of Nigeria. A father said that ever since 1983 he came back from the United States and settled fully in Nigeria with the intent that Nigeria would be good. He said it in Yoruba 'Nigeria ma daa' but until today, he has not seen the goodness in Nigeria. With all anger, he concluded; 'Nigeria o le da mo' that is Nigeria can't be good any longer. I hope you are aware that the few people that enjoy staying in this country are our so called politicians that EAT money that does not belong to their mouth of which they know they can't get in any other place around the world! Would you tell me you have a genuine reason to say Nigeria would be better?? What is causing the failure?? A woman who works in shell and is well paid recently came to meet my aunt that she has resigned and then, wants my aunt to teach her all about hair styling, gele and the other related hand work. What did she say? Nigeria don't have future for her!!! Do you think you as the M.D of xyz company have a future? Hope you know you can be fired anytime, its not your father's business. Even if it is, the economy can make it fold up anytime. Where then is the future ![]() Since I know myself till now, I have been anticipating a strategic change in Nigeria but it is not forthcoming and the future seems to be blur. As many that are still sleeping, wake up!!! Do you think Nigeria has a future for you...of course NO; you can only have a future for this country of which can be trampled upon in this current socio-political and economic system. Finally; why do you think people love to give birth to their children in developed countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Canada e.t.c. It is because there is a guarantee of a future for them unlike here, where from their cradle to almost death it is nothing but a life of sport and struggle. What can we do to our country ![]() Do well to drop your comments I remain God's Elect Alaba E.O http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/why-nigeria.html?m=1

This thing is really becoming out of hand...It is so painful! What is it sef? Even if I dislike Lagos state public bus drivers, I sometimes pity them. Just yesterday, I took a bus from Jakande Gate to Mushin and I wonder how much and how many dues these guys pay to unions including our so called POLICE FORCE. They are even the 'worstest' if that English is in the dictionary. In less than 20minutes' journey, our agberos and uniform men collected up to a thousand naira from the driver (just for one journey). How much come remain?? How much fuel would he have bought? What if tyre spoilt? What if he has three wives with nine children Even if that's his business!Read full at link below http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/what-is-it-is-it-only-lagos.html?m=1

To as many who were present yesterday and those absent at the crusade ground of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State; it was an atmosphere with the feeling of the presence of God, above all activities or put better, ministrations, we have a detailed excerpt of the theme message for you, "THE LIFTER OF MY SOUL" Of course, we finally did it; we always do for you anytime, any day and anywhere. The outline is here for you to meditate on, and to tell you the truth, Jesus is everything we need this year, nothing more because with Jesus, you get everything. Serving him is great, walking with him is greater. But wait! Who lifts your soul? Who do you think changes your level? To my view, I believe it's something you definitely should know. Below is the outline of the glorious message we heard yesterday, meditate on it too. Topic: The lifter of my Soul Text: Psalm 3 To lift is to bring something from a lower level to a higher level principally through the ability of a lifter *lift must always be followed by the word up Lifting definitely means a change of level. THE LIFTER MUST HAVE CHARACTERISTICS 1. Must be on a higher ground than the lifted. 2. Must be on solid ground. 3. The fellow who must be the lifter must be strong. 4. Must be able to reach down to the lifted. 5. Must be willing to reach down to the lifted(Mark 9:23-24). 6. Must be willing to hang on to the lifted (Heb 7:25). 7. Must hang on till he gets to the top (Psalm 40:1-3). All these can be found in the Almighty God. Psalm 91:1 Eccles 5:8 1 Corinth10:4 You cannot be stronger than the almighty Jer 32:27 Deut 33:27 *Jesus qualifies to lift us up from sickness to health Exodus 25:16; mark 2:1-12; *He is able to lift from sorrow to Joy; Luke 7:11-15; *He can lift you from bondage to freedom; Mark 5:1-20 *He can lift you from failure to success; Luke 5:1-7 *He can lift you from stagnation to progress; Acts 3:1-8 *He can lift you from darkness to light; John 9:1-7; *He can lift you from nothing to something; John 9:32; 1Samuel 16-11-13 *He can lift you up from a state of death to a state of sleep; Mark 5:35-42 *He can lift you from lying down to standing; John 5:2-9 *He can lift you from standing still to moving forward; 1Samuel 16:11-13; *He can move you from walking to running; 1 Samuel 17:45-51 *He can lift you from running to flying; isaiah 40:31 *He can move you from flying on your own wings to being carried on eagles wings; Exodus 19:4 *He can move you from glory to glory; 2Corinthians 3:18 However, He expects something from the lifted *you must accept the offer of the lifter: Matthew 11:28:30 *you must accept the offer soon; proverbs 1:21-28 *you must be willing to be holy; 1Peter 1:15-16 *He expects you to be fruitful; John 15:1-2 *He expects you to cry to him for help; Psalm 3:4; 2Kings 4:1-7 PRAYER POINT *Father, I lift my hands to you, lift me up. P.S notably, in attendance where over 10,000 people. It is however, the only platform that can bring such a population together at the Obafemi Awolowo University. http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/an-outline-of-pastor-e-adeboyes-message.html

The Borno State Government on Thursday said it found an infant plant where youngsters were being sold in the state. The Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Kakashehu Lawal, expressed this at a public interview in Maiduguri. Lawal said four ladies nearby the chief suspect were captured for partaking in the wrongdoing. He said that the "pattern is an infamous truth which happened in Galadima zone in the state capital.'' "After the reclamation of relative peace in state capital and its environs, a great deal of against social exercises began to rise extending from medication enslavement, rebellion and prostitution. 2 I called my office and requested to speak with the Chief of Operations, someone we call Taylor. “Hey Isaac. What is the situation on ground” he asked “Not good boss, not good at all” “Tell me about it” “He was dead before I came here, and his right hand had been sawed off. Really gory. His wallet did not give much info too. Only found a piece of paper with the numbers 4052 on it” “Any idea why his hand was cut?”, he further asked me. I bent down to look at the chain beside the phone and noticed streaks of blood on some of the linkages, and some flesh in another one. “I think I know what happened here. He attached something to the hand and secured it there, maybe a briefcase or something else. The hand was cut to retrieve whatever he was protecting”. I felt proud of myself to have made such a great observation at first sight, but then again, why would I be a detective if I did not have such a skilled set? “That sounds really gory and inhumane”, started Taylor, “Isaac, I am putting you in charge of this investigation. I want results” He did not even allow me to protest before I heard the dial tone. This was going to be a tough and tricky one. I put my phone back into my pocket and called one of the unit cops that came with me. Read More At Link Below http://www.tellymoore.com/2016/12/the-murder-case-2.html?m=1

1 My office was a rather small but generously spacious area which housed all I had to put in there well. It consists of my shelf which hosted lots of case files and books, my small table and a chair, as well as a 15 inches plasma TV. The walls are decorated with different certificates of excellence from all levels, from national to local. On my table can be vividly seen a case file which had recently been stamped “Case Closed” in red by me, a calendar with lots of markings on it, lots of books scattered here and there, my .99mm pistol in its holster as well as a name plate bearing my name, Detective Wale Isaac. I swiveled around in my chair to face the window and looked outside the city, rubbing my palms together and a slight grin crossing my face. I was happy that since I was brought into this unit, crime had reduced drastically, more cases have been solved and I would go down in history books as part of the people who made that happen. How happy I was. Now I can take a little vacation and feel in my mind that I really deserve it. I was still locked into this pool of thoughts when my secretary barged into the office without knocking. With the agility of a trained officer, I turned around in my chair so fast and I could see a glint of fear in her eyes. The Author of the "Ede Yoruba ko Gbodo Ku" (Yoruba Language Must not Die), Dahunsi Akinyemi, spoke on the threats facing the language. Dahunsi Akinyemi has for many years been a language teacher. He did this formally while working with some schools in Lagos, and informally even when he stopped teaching. As a result, he is familiar with many books on the English Language, including the Lady Bird series and others that help in shaping up the sense of reasoning of young ones. But something often baffles him. This is the non-availability of Yoruba texts written and produced like the Lady Birds in a way that can inspire Yoruba children to fall in love with the language. This reality, and the apathy that many members of the Yoruba elite have for the language, remains a source of head ache to him. Based on the experience of the Oyo State-born culture promoter, Eruwa, who is also a graduate of English from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, the threat of extinction facing Yoruba is real. My president; I doubt if he has plans for the masses at all! He is totally economically incompetent. He needs to Change economic Policies. The members of his cabinets are obviously 'figure heads'. What do I even expect when I am more educated than a large number of them...Even some of our law makers have just SSCE when many of them cannot even stand for the certificate they have. Are they intellectuals? Please, we are starting this year with a C.P.I of 18.6%, last year's started with 8.8% and ended with 18.0%. By prayers and GOOD strategies, SIR, YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT THE 2017 BUDGET IS NONSENSE. Na only your administration dey travel Abi na only una dey do honorarium? Na only this time una go buy motor ni? Of a truth, you are for nobody but yourself alone. Yourself combines you, and does that EAT with you knowingly or unknowingly? Ascertain that self interest is not the plausible reason for being moral. I termed this STRANGE POLITY IN NIGERIA because your budget for this year is totally strange, it's not realistic and it's fully of fraudulent activities. #grand_administrator #globally_unlimited #technocrat God's Elect Alaba E.O http://www.tellymoore.com/2017/01/strange-polity-in-nigeria.html?m=0

THE INTER GALACTIC WARS 8 Month: January Year: 3820 Days: 22-25 Location: Mars ---------------------------------------------------------------- The hatch door was opened as Jide approached the mother ship, a large number of his crew were visible as they stood at careful positions ready to receive their captain, when suddenly an almost invisible and definitely unexpected fireball came from an incoming alien fighter ship. Samgee who was also in a joyful mood suddenly ran towards the commuters when he saw the red alerts from where he stood, he punched some codes and the lone computer on the table came back alive from its hibernate mood, and displayed a visual of a fireball approaching Jide's stealth dragon, he panicked and ran towards another system which controls the ship's weapons and launched two shots, making sure they were right after each other. Whatever Samgee was thinking, he definitely should not have taken any action without orders from either the captain or his second-in-command. Hank and the awaiting crew did not realise there was trouble until they saw two missiles running from their ship towards Jide's stealth dragon, then Jide, who still did not believe what was happening, but could see something approaching him from afar looked at his rear mirror and saw the threat of an incoming alien ship coming for him. Jide in no time understood he had to dodge the incoming missiles, he guessed the missiles were 20secs away from him since he had gone through the manual and studied some of the systems and operations of the mother ship. "one, two, three" Jide started a count down, Hank and the awaiting crew were totally not stable as the whole scene was so unexpected," "eighteen, nineteen", Jide sprung into action, he jeared up the stealth dragon with all his strength, the stealth dragon with an almost unnoticeable change in position dodged the incoming missile and took a head jam with the fire ball. In no time, another explosion was heard as the incoming alien ship ran into the second missile. Jide headed straight for d mother ship and as soon as he was in the hatch door, he shut it. Hank and the crew rushed to him and took him out of the ship, he was half dead as he just experienced the unbelievable, Captain Jide quickly gained consciousness and rushed to the control room. Hank and the crew ran after him, Samgee was not sure as he stood with captain Jide right in front of him, with fear and uncertainty, Samgee let the words out "captain, I know..." he was yet to finish his first statement when Jide cut in. "Samgee, thank you " he took a short pause like the words were too small to express how he felt, "for saving my life", he concluded and gave Samgee a big hug with tears almost flowing out of his eyes. Jide slowly released Samgee satisfied, Hank and the crew clapped happily with so much joy in their heart, Jide then cut in "now I understand we all have to work together as one, for the earth's mortality is left in our hands, We, with unity shall assure its continuity or with division, cause its end" Jide looked as if searching if anyone had any objection, then with satisfaction continued, "I could not risk any of you for the spy mission. If there was actually anyone to take the risk, then I should be the first on the list, and I bring us hope". Hank moved closer because he believed they had been without hope, so if one is here, then its worth listening to. "I was in their world, I saw their weapons, waters, fields, power plants and their station" he looked at Hank for any sign of expectation on his face", If I was going to be paralysed for a mission, I would say you take power from my hands and I will be so lost. So,I say we take out Their power" Hank with a partially positive look cuts in ,"how"? he asked without thinking if he actually wanted to ask and would like to have a positive answer. Jide answered without any sign of doubt "I would say we take out their power plant as a distraction but their power station is our main target, then we launch full attack on them. Now everyone seemed confused because Captain Jide has not answered the question to their satisfaction "we have drones on this ship, but out there, they won't last or survive for too long. I have seen how those green idiots attacks and it is not to be taken with light fingers". Samgee broke his silence "what is your plan sir?" he asked with a calm look on his face "we will have to split into two groups, the drones being the third group, some of the willing crew and I will go out with dragon stealths, we take the power station while the drones will be programmed to attack full the power plants, then the third group on the ship will launch full attack on Mars and everything on it" Jide looked at them to see if he had just made any sense atall "the attack must kick off any minute from now, because we have to take them unaware", Jide said. There was silence but was broken when Hank spoke 'I am in captain", there was a questionnaire look on everyone's face, and what Jide hoped for came, "I'm in, I'm in..." Jide looked from one person to the other and they responded positively with a nod. He finished his speech by saying, "thanks everyone, now let us split, thirty with me to attack the power station, the remaining ten on board to attack the martian's territory when they are really unbalanced, and the drones take the power plant first" "Hank, you will be in charge of the mother ship, can I have my 29 men?", Captain Jide said. Hank stood apart as some of the crew walked up to jide and stood with him until just Hank, Samgee and eight other crew members were standing apart. Jide then gave orders, Samgee powered the drones and programmed them for the mission, Jide and his crew were set, each beside a stealth dragon, the hatch door was opened and the drone ships stormed out in their hundreds, Jide and his crew watched them leave and saluted as if they had pilots in them to receive it Jide looked up and said "God bless this day, my brothers, we have come this far,and I believe as a "JOINT CREW", success is ours, you are the most reasonable partners I have ever worked with in such a dangerous mission, you are great men of honour and with this pride, we, as honoured men shall not fall. We ride into victory and victory is ours". All with courage and a brave heart clapped and boarded their ships, Jide went first and they all followed, the drones were twenty minutes away and should have started causing distraction already The shaft was closed, Hank and the other crew took their positions "Hank, we are almost there, be ready any time soon. I will call you in. Hank without any smile replied, yes...... sir, be safe". Definitely, the plan worked as there were no Martian ships around, "Every one ready to fire on my count... one... two...three, fire" missiles were launched and lots of damages were caused on the power station. "now brothers, fire as much as you can, we have to erase this place", "yes captain" their response came in and shots followed, the Martians must have been drawn back by the explosions, some of them came in and fired back .."let them feel your full wrath" Jide shouted as he turned and faced the Martians, the drones came storming them from behind, the big war has started just like that, the drone helped taking out Martians the more, "Hank, do you copy?" Hank who has been waiting for a call jumped, "yes captain", he listened closely "you are on" Jide continued. Hank and his crew kicked to action, the mother ship approached Martians and released giant missiles on them, Samgee did not let a moment bore him as he stormed the Martians with heavy shots...the Martians were going down the more; for them, the attack was so unexpected, they were really surprised and unprepared, Jide and his crew had the upper hand until suddenly, a stealth dragon ship took a hit and was going down, it was Stampley's stealth dragon, 'noooo' Jide screamed, as he saw the stealth dragon going down, it was badly damaged, Jide felt like it was all over for them, he looked around at other stealths dragon as they fought hard avoiding fireballs. At this point, Hank and the other crew arrived the scene, what ever this was, the Martians were not expecting it either, its first shot completely erased the power station, followed by several shots, the missiles did not just take the Martian ship out, it followed them round, even when they dodged and destroyed them. Now, more Martians were going down, and they were reducing greatly. Jide and his crew fought hard until the Martians were completely erased. Jide floated down to look for Stampley, together with his crew, they searched everywhere until they found some parts of his ship,"alive or dead", they slowly approached his ship, and there he laid. Jide rushed towards him, pulled him out of the badly damaged stealth, positioned him well and with tears in his eyes closed his eyes,"he's gone" he whispered. The other crew took off their caps and bowed sorrowfully, Jide could not let go, Hank came forward and took Stampley from him, Samgee assisted in lifting his body. They boarded the mother ship and called in the remaining drones, the crew from the WorldFleet Express all silently went back to planet earth, although victorious, they wished they never had to lose anyone..... As their arrival was announced, Dr Kiel Wilson and the president of the United States, Nigeria, China, and many other countries received them. Jide jumped out of the ship and grabbed Dr Kiel roughly, "those bastards you raised killed him", he yelled with his eyes full of rage, some soldiers rushed him and separated him from Kiel. Kiel felt so remorseful as Stampley's body was brought out from the ship, everyone took their caps off, bowed sorrowfully. Kiel had narrated how the Martians came to be and the president had considered his efforts to erase them and pardoned him, but he lost his position as head of Space Communications and Research Technology Department, he was given a retirement option which he had no choice than to accept. Stampley was given an honourable burial ceremony, his wife and children were awarded. Jide returned to Nigeria with his president after he and his crew were given a big victory party and rewarded greatly for a war well fought. Month : January Year. : 3820 Day. : 26 Location: Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria -------------------------------------------------------------- An old man walks in, with his short and a cup of coffee in his hand, he sits on the three-sitter couch, "power up TV ", he said, adjusting himself to a more comfortable position, the TV hissed on just seconds after, "password" the TV voiced back, it looked as though it's the Captain's first time, "you should recognise my voice damn machine!!", he had a straight look on his face probably ready to pounce on the TV, "voice recognition mood is off, password please!" the TV replied him, at this point, Jide relaxed and honestly apologised like the TV ever cared, "I'm sorry, I forgot I turned that off....LOVOFLEX", he said after a five seconds pause. The TV displayed something meaningful this time, "channel 28", Jide now more relaxed listened to the news". God! these idiots keep doing things, they are yet to understand that anytime they try and do what they call "building a better world, they pronounce their extinction", Jide at his 70'S takes another sip from his cup "anyway, who would ring an old man like me for another death mission, such deserves an old man's fists", he concluded. THE INTER GALACTIC WARS 7 Month : January Year : 3820 Day : 21 Location : MARS --------------------------------------------------------------- Jide started to think back and forth for possible options on how to evade his newly-found enemies. He was the only one that now had information on how to destroy the aliens, and he was not going to let them kill him before he could tell it to his crew. The Martian ships on his tail were already getting closer to him and he had to do something. He looked in the Stealth Dragon’s rear-view mirror and discovered that they had both aligned to a single line to gain acceleration and attack him, then an IDEA hit him. “Hank”, he called. “Sir”, replied the Indian “Command Samgee to fire two missiles at me, each having a time interval of only five seconds”, he commanded. “Sir?”, asked James, confused. “You heard me right”, said the Captain, “do it now” “But you will get yourself killed”, replied James “That is not your problem right now. Your problem is making sure these green idiots don’t get to know where our ship is and I am trying to make sure they do not. Do not question my authority. This is not a statement. Its an order. Relay my message to Samgee, NOW!” The co-captain and Hank saw that there was no reason to argue with the captain and sent the instructions to Samgee. In less than 30 seconds, two missiles had left the WorldFleet Express and was heading in the direction of the captain’s ship. Everyone back at the WorldFleet Express were watching, some with tears in their eyes, as the missiles were heading towards the captain and three alien ships. In less than a minute, Jide saw the missiles from afar. He looked at his rear-view once again and saw that the alien ships were now closer to him. He checked his Turbo and saw that it was now fully charged. Then he started to slow down. Everyone was amazed. Why is he slowing down again now? As he slowed down, the aliens moved closer to him while the missile raced closer from the front. He kept on slowing down while maintaining a suitable velocity to achieve maximum momentum. At this point, it was only a matter of seconds before the aliens caught up with him and the missile arrived. He kept on with the slow speed. Everyone back at the main ship were already expecting the inevitable. This would be the fall of Captain Babatunde Olajide. He had served his planet well, dying in its defence. "10 seconds to Rear Impact, Evade! Evade!! Evade!!!", beeped an alarm in the Captain’s ship. His plan was going according to the way he thought. His thoughts were to pull it off. He counted to seven, slapped his palm against the turbo button and swerved to the right. The speed in which he did it stunned everyone — both the aliens and his crew members. Everyone did not expect what happened next. The missiles that had been travelling straight to the captain’s ship crashed into the oncoming aliens, resulting into a chain of crashes. Four loud bangs followed each other successively and the Space-Screen went blank, be-clouded with thick smoke. Everyone went mute again. Light sobs could be heard from the more sympathetic females and some groans could be heard from the male counterparts, Captain Olajide has fallen. A speeding Stealth Dragon emerged from within the large cloud of Smoke. It bore the Blue Mark. Its Captain Olajide’s ship. Everyone jumped up for joy, screamed and hooted. “Good job, Captain”, said James on the Inter-Com when a connection was established. “Thanks James”, replied the Captain, full of smiles,“open the hatch door for me and ready the cabinet members. I know how to take these pieces of shit down. We go to war. TODAY!” More shouts and hoots could be heard in the background as the captain shut off the Inter-Com and concentrated more on his driving. Today, either they conquer Mars or Mars conquers them. Today marks the end of the war. http://www.tellymoore.com/2016/12/the-inter-galactic-wars-7.html?m=1

THE INTER GALACTIC WARS 6 Month : January Year : 3820 Day : 21 Location : MARS --------------------------------------------------------------- For three days, the crew from WorldFleet Express were busy strategising their next move. They had a good vantage position, behind the meteor rocks, although they had to always move constantly to avoid collision with the fast-paced moving rocks, plus they got hit multiple times. Captain Jide, his assistant James and other board members were in the sixth meeting in three days and they still had no idea on how to successfully launch an attack on the planet. They had no idea of what it currently looked like or where exactly to attack. They were at a loss on all sides. In one of the meetings, it was unanimously decided that someone should take one of the smaller spy ships on board and go scout out the planet. The stealth ship was recommended as it wouldn’t be discovered on the radar. Captain Jide knew this was a good plan, maybe the only plan they could follow to achieve something reasonable but the question is – who would volunteer to go?Actually, that was not the main question on his mind. He knew that if he announced that to the general populace on the ship, several people would offer to go, but what was really holding him back was the thought that he would be sending such a person to his or her own death, as that looked like a suicide mission, one small ship in the midst of the numerous giants owned by the Martians. He had a conscience, and he should not have taken this job in the first place, he thought. Standing in the Captain’s box, overlooking operations and seeing everyone working and pacing around frantically, trying to get things done and not make mistakes, he made a decision within himself. Looking round, he quietly slipped away from the bridge of the ship and entered the mini-elevator. He punched the number 2, which was the Technical Department. In no time, the elevator hissed open again and he stepped onto the neat silver-panelled floor. He walked across the room, returning salutes to officers who had never thought they would see the captain and avoided eye contact with everyone. In no time, he reached the end of the room. He turned down the alley, descended a flight of stairs and got to a door. He offered his voice to be recognized by the machine, had his eye scanned and the door hissed open, loudly. He looked round once again to make sure no one was watching, stepped in, and the door closed behind him. The room was where all mini spacecrafts were kept, ranging from the Stealth Dragons to the Escape Pods (nicknamed ‘squirrel’ for their speed). He looked around and found a suitable Stealth Dragon and started it up. He entered the emergency override codes for the hatch door to open, and it did swiftly. Immediately, the walls of the WorldFleet started to blink red and an automated voice was heard saying,“Unauthorized Personnel aboard ship.. Unauthorized personnel aboard ship”. It was said rightly, because a captain was not meant to be the one doing this, but does he really have a choice? He fired up the engines and started speeding towards the hatch door, floating off the ground of the ship. Immediately the emergency warning started, the opened hatch door started to close. He increased his speed the more. He knew if he did not get out, his crew members would hold him back when they see him. He had to get out now. He intensified his speed. The hatch door closed the more. He was nearly there, and the hatch door was nearly closed to the height of his ship. With as much determination as he started, he changed gears and activated the ship’s turbo and with a blast, sped past the closing door, scratching some parts of it as well as some parts of the neatly silvered floor. He was out into space, all alone. In the rear-view mirror of his ship, he saw the door to the room open and some soldiers trooped in. Seconds later, the hatch door closed. He was now all alone. He switched off the communications link to the main ship so as not to get bothered by anyone on there and started off towards the planet Mars. As an experienced space-driver, it did not take time to manoeuvre through the various meteors till he dropped into the open space. He followed the orbital path a little to save fuel and then started treading the dark areas to avoid being seen. In about twenty minutes, he saw Mars in front of him. He intensified his efforts and drove closer. What he saw really terrified him. It was like Mars had already won the war before it started. They had hundreds of battle ships at their disposal, all lit up by some green color. That has to be their army color, he thought. He killed the engine of his ship as well as its lights and started to guide his ship slowly near to the planet itself. He was going to learn as much as possible on how to defeat them. He floated around the main action packed areas, the forefront that faced earth, and saw that behind the planet, there was no army whatsoever there. Only the front was guarded. He was still stealthily floating around when his radar caught something. It was like a field, like a Chemical Field. He activated his ship’s Super Lens and zoomed in to see what it was, and as soon as he saw it, he nearly exclaimed. It was ————– He was about to scream for joy about his discovery when his radar started frantically again. He looked at it, looked forward and realized that he was doomed, or nearly doomed. Three Martian ships were speeding towards him. Adrenaline kicked into his blood instantly, as he powered up the ship again. He turned back and started speeding away from the Martian fighter ships. He ran, they pursued, and they shot. He dodged most of the enemy rays, and most times fell into others. His shields were dwindling too. They were in hot pursuit for about ten minutes when he saw his turbo counter blinking green. He smashed his palm against it and the turbo was activated, giving him maximum speed. He looked back and saw that he had lost them. He smiled at himself, but that smile did not last long. Out of nowhere, they emerged again, with their own green turbo trailing. He looked at the turbo meter and saw it was still red. He hit “Charge” and started to run again. He would have thought that he should lose them before going back to his ship but since his home was not space, he had no idea where to run to. He activated his Communications Link and in an instant, Hank came on screen. “Hank”, Jide screamed. “Captain”, Hank retorted, looking up and giving a salute, “we have been worried about you. Where have you been?” “I went to scout the Martians. They are on my trail. Pull my co-ordinates and get me back to the ship” “Sir. I am sorry I cannot beam you up right now, you are too far apart”, Hank gushed out, obviously contrived and working at his computer. “Get me James, right now”, Jide commanded. Before Hank could turn, James showed up behind him. “Captain. What is the matter?”, asked James “I am in the middle of a gunfight and chase, and I am losing on both counts, I want you to command the crew exactly as I ask, said the Captain to James. Are you ready?” “Yes, Cap, what do you need?”, asked James, taking his position as acting Captain. “Who is in charge of weapons?”, the Captain asked “It's Samgee” “Tell him to shoot a long distance missile at these bastards on my trail. Ask him to activate the speed function and give it the highest speed ever.” “Right away captain”. James accessed Samgee via a tab and went the message. Samgee replied that he was on it. In less than twenty seconds, a long range missile left the WorldFleet Express. Jide was still about three minutes from the ship when he saw the missile coming. He kept his speed up and was partly happy that he was going to get rid of them. The missile headed straight for one of the three Martian ships, but what Jide saw nearly made him pee on his pant. He had never seen anything like that. Even those in The WorldFleet watching through the main screen were amazed. THE MARTIAN SHIP DODGED THE MISSILE. That was one of the most impossible things to ever do. Everyone gasped, even James. The captain, although daunted, summoned up courage and thought up new ways to escape this threat he had gotten himself into. http://www.tellymoore.com/2016/12/the-inter-galactic-wars-6.html?m=1

THE INTER GALACTIC WARS 5 Month : January Year : 3820 Day : 18 Location : The WorldFleet, Headed Into Space. ----------------------------------------------------------------- The WorldFleet Express began its movement into space. Due to the amount of propulsion engines it had, it was no problem for it to tear through the atmosphere to gain entrance into space. No sooner had they entered the orbital atmosphere than a ray hit them. Everyone who were just assuming their duty posts after stabilization were shaken. Everyone was thrown here and there. “What just happened?”, asked the captain. “I’m checking my logs and radar, sir”, replied Hank, an Indian, who was in charge of Satellite and Radar. In less than five minutes, he seemed to have identified what happened. “Sir, we were just hit by an enemy ray, a type as that first discovered by the doctor” “What’s the ship’s status report?”, he further probed “Our shield’s at 95% sir. It was targeted at one of our reactors but it missed as we we’re not fully in their orbital path, sir” “Can you get a clear view of where their ship’s located?” “Yes sir. They’re just a few miles away sir, and they brought only one ship” “One ship?”, inquired the captain, confused Hank pressed a few screens here and there, then nodded his head to confirm what the captain asked. Jide turned to Doubois, the Cameroonian in charge of travels and jumps. “Doubois, plot a course to take us out of the path of the enemy” At this point, the co-captain of the ship, James (American), interjected “Captain, why do we need to get out of here? We have the firepower to conquer this ship. We conquer it and take it for ourselves. We might even learn a thing or two from the ship” “No, Jim, not at all”, Jide began, “this is all some sick trick they’re trying to play on us. They can’t have only one ship. Not possible at all. They’re trying to lure us into a trap” “What if they’ve got only one ship?”, blasted the co-captain “They don’t”, Jide replied “And how do you know that?”, he retorted Jide didn’t reply the last question. He had no time for people like this. “Sir”, Hank panicked, “we have another ray coming towards us” He rose instantly and turned to Doubois “Doubois, do you have a path planned?” “Yes sir”, Doubois started, “one goes north and the other south” “Which planet’s north and which is south?”, asked the captain “Venus to the North, Mars to the south sir” “Hank, check the conditions of Venus for me” Hank keyed in some commands and a bright display of the planet Venus came on “Sir, its not safe right now. Venus us experiencing one of its violent storms right now. Taking the ship near that might corrupt all our nuclear power and disrupt the electricity to the ship. That spells doom for us” “So you mean we either risk losing the ship in Venus or going towards Mars and getting attacked?” “Yes sir. That’s what I’m saying” The captain was in a tight place here. Both ways, they were going to get into trouble. “Sir. Its gonna hit us in thirty seconds”, cried Hank. The captain still said nothing. All eyes were on him. “Aren’t you gonna decide something”, asked Jim, furiously. Jide shot him a scornful look. “Twenty seconds, sir”, announced Hank. “Hank, Stop!”, protested the captain, “you’re not making me think here” “Sorry sir” The time seemed to be moving slowly. There were two deadly choices here. The ship would be badly damaged in Venus. They couldn’t stay here around Earth’s atmosphere as they would be attacked continuously by this lone ship, and traveling into Mars might just be a trap. “Sir”, shouted Doubois, “there’s a meteor belt around Mars right now. I can set coordinates for the area. We’ll be a little safe behind the belt. It’ll conceal us for a little while” “What’s the downside?”, asked the Captain “Well, we could get hit by meteors, but I trust that with your navigation skills, you should be able to get us out” “Ten seconds”, shouted an impatient Hank “Doubois, set course for the meteor belt right now” Doubois started to enter the coordinates. There was a click sound and the jump reactors sprung to life. The ship managed to jump just in time to escape the full impact of the ray. It just grazed the ship’s mast, reducing its shield by about one percent. Captain Jide looked back just to see that the ray had hit earth. He blamed himself. He should have ordered it to be defused with a shot from their own ship before the jump. He had made a tough call, and a mistake too, and he promised himself he wasn’t going to make such anymore. He held on to the rails for support as the jump occurred. In about fifteen seconds, they arrived in a region of multiple rocks floating around haphazardly. Beyond the rocks could be seen the real battleground, the one they were reluctant to come to but have found themselves in by a silly twist of fate and threat of life. They are in MARS http://www.tellymoore.com/2016/12/the-inter-galactic-wars-5.html?m=1

THE INTER GALACTIC WARS 4 Month : January Year : 3820 Day : 18 Location : World Alliance Space Technology Base, Sahara Desert ------------------------------------------------------------- The large door opened and a host of forty-nine people came jogging through neatly. Each of them were clad in Military Space Gears, with each bearing a country logo on the breast of their space suits. In their hands were helmets with back-head connection to oxygen tubes and large boots graced their legs. They were marching towards the largest, most sophisticated, most expensive and most deadly space-craft the world has ever seen, The World Fleet Express. The World Fleet Express is a magnificent sight to behold, and if not for the nature of the mission, each and everyone of them would have stopped to look at it and soak in the awesomeness it drips. It was as large as anything they had ever seen. It had ten jet propulsion engines in present use, and had another five for auxiliary use, to be used in a situation when one is faulty. It had seventy rooms in all, and also possessed seventy escape pods. It also had enough storage facility to house the resources for the seventy, up till about a hundred days. The technology on the bridge of the ship was one of a kind which is powered by a general nuclear reactor. Since the fuel was generated internally, there is little or no dependence at all on external fuel. For its size, it has a pretty great speed too. The defence system on the ship is also amazingly strong. It has lots of firepower enough to wipe out an entire fleet in minutes. Lots of billions of dollars had gone into the making of this ship, but no one would have thought it would be for a reason like this.Well, maybe Dr. Kiel Wilson is an exception. In no time, they were at the base, still jogging till they heard a loud “Halt”. They all stopped and watched their Captain walk towards them. He was a fairly tall and dark man who would be in his late thirties. The stars on his shirt depicted that this was not the first he would be serving in this capacity. His flag-spot was coloured green, white and green, the Nigerian colours. His name boldly written on the name-tag – Captain Jide. He kept walking towards them and when he got closer, he began to talk. “Ladies and Gentlemen of The Force, we are here today not for the sake of ourselves, but for the sake of our planet. We have been threatened with total annihilation just because we chose to be a peaceful planet. We have been threatened to be driven from our own homes by creatures that do not know what a home feels like. We have been faced with a tough choice to destroy or get destroyed. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Earth has been our home for centuries. Our fathers have protected it and its now time to protect it for our children also. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is unlike any other war you have ever fought, or any you have ever heard of. This is not man against man, this is man against highly intelligent bunch of "green idiots." This is man against aliens. We have to fight till the last blood has been drained from our veins. We have to fight till we get tired, and then still keep fighting. We have to go on and defend the earth. WE MUST NOT LOSE. There are no take back sees. If anyone wants to leave this war, now is the time. This is an indefinite war. No one knows when it will end. We do this in one accord. We do this for the planet, EARTH”. He ended his speech with claps, hoots and screams from around. He commanded the people to march into the ship. They were 50 in all. 10 were administrative members, 5 medical personnels, 15 crew members and the remaining 20 are soldiers trained in space warfare, each supplied by different countries but communicate with English. The door to the World Fleet closed and it started with a loud bang. The earth shook as its first burst of hot air hit the ground. With a large effort, it started its journey towards space as it rose from the ground. The Space Base was isolated save for the professionals working there. It was a sight to behold, to see the World Fleet sail on motion for the first time was surprising, but they were not joyous about it. They might never see it again. They might never even see any of the crew members again. The fate of Planet Earth depended upon them. Whatever happened on the course of this journey would determine history. If they succeed, history would sing about them as the heroes of earth. If they failed, well, there would be no one to write or read the history. The earth would be shattered. http://www.tellymoore.com/2016/12/the-inter-galactic-wars-4.html?m=1

THE INTER GALACTIC WARS 3 Month : January Year : 3820 Day : 16 Location : Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, Africa. The time was 7:06AM and the sun was beginning to reveal itself from the clouds. A body sprawled across the bed in an absurd manner. It was a male’s body. He kept slamming his hand against the alarm clock every 10 minutes whenever it buzzes. At 7:10, the alarm clocked buzzed again. Infuriated, he threw the clock against the wall and it shattered. That was the ninth clock he had broken in just a single month, and he cannot give an account for those he had destroyed in the previous year. He loves sleeping alot, maybe that is why he retired earlier than his contemporaries to start his own firm. He heard another buzz again. He thought it was the alarm clock and jumped up from his bed only to realize it was his phone, a HexMac II. He picked up the phone and said to it, “Answer”. The call got answered automatically. “Captain Jide”, the voice said. Jide paused before answering, “Yes?” “Captain. It is Dr. Wilson. I am the—” “Head of NASA Space Operations. I know. What do you want from me?” Dr. Wilson was surprised at the response. It was true what he heard about the captain that he is crazily intelligent. “Captain, we need you once again”, said the doctor. Jide was already moving towards his kitchen's counter and picking a glass cup. “Need me? What for?” “I am sure you would have heard about the alien intrusion problem by now. We have a craft at hand and we are organizing the crew from all over the world. We need a captain, and I personally lobbied that the slot be given to Nigeria because of you. We need you now, Captain”. Jide poured himself a glass of orange juice and took a sip. “So you want me to come clean up your mess?” “What are you insinuating, Captain?” asked a furious Kiel “I’m not insinuating anything”, started Jide, “But we both know you have told no one else the reason why these aliens exist and were activated in the first place is because of your failed experiment” “Excuse me?”, protested the doctor, in a fake tone of anger. Jide took another sigh and continued. “Sorry doc. I am not ready to come die for an unjust cause. You need to tell the world what you have done, else, I will call my President and personally ask him not to give you any country man for this cause. You have wronged the whole of Planet Earth, doc” “I will not stand here while —–" Jide dropped the call. He had no time for liars and government people like this, more of the reason why he retired fast. He turned to the wall in front of his room and commanded “ON”. A holographic TV appeared and it zapped itself to his favorite station, the TELLYMORE NEWS CHANNEL. A reporter was saying something. “Last night, an unusual activity was recorded in the Earth’s north pole. According to researching eye-witnesses on the site, there was a brief flash of very bright light and then the polar caps started to melt. Late yesterday, there were reports from civilians that there was a giant and strange star sighted over the earth. It was also gathered from a source inside the White House that the head of NASA Space Operations held an impromptu meeting with the President. These have led to a lot of unanswered questions. What are they hiding from us? Are we being attacked? By whom?. This is Sade Coker, reporting live from the TELLYMORE NEWS CHANNEL” “CLOSE”, Jide ordered. The TV screen closed at that command. He took another sip from his drink and weighed the options. This was not a call to serve the government, he thought. This was a call to save earth. Maybe he should set aside his personal differences and go for the job. Maybe. He looked at the phone in his hand and gave it a command. “Dial least Number”. http://www.tellymoore.com/2016/12/the-inter-galactic-wars-3.html?m=1
