I think one of the teachings of religion interprets that no matter the form of prayer, the god being prayed to will understand your heart desires. So using IJN doesn't matter, if you think of it as bad then you can as well say that people who never voice out prayers are wasting their time. God bless you. The OP has idolized the name of Jesus. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Who Are You To Question God? by Temidayo9(m): 10:41am On Jul 16, 2017 |
Wilgrea7: interesting topic... firstly.. i think before you can question God, you need to know what he says... i can question someone if i know who the person is and what the person says... but.. in general.. we.. or let me speak for myself.. i don't know God 100% or even 50%.. majority(not all) of what i know is what someone told me.. not what God told me himself.. i was given a book that says “God said" ... but anybody can say “God said" .. i have no way to verify it.. i was also given steps on how to verify what I've been told which will only favour what I've been told.. there are different books claiming “God said" .. so in order to get the truth or at least closer to the truth, i need to question what I've been told.. no I'm not questioning God.. I'm questioning what people say about him.. because people can tell lies.. people can make the claim that “God said this and that" ... i need to know the truth.. I'm not questioning God.. i totally acknowledge him.. but i won't let someone tell me a lie... if I'm being given third hand information about God, then i think i have to question and verify.. not God.. but what people claimed about him Hnmm. No 1 rules of Religion, don't questioned. Which I don't comfortably accept. |

abdulwastecx: There was no such thing as Ondo state during the period of regional government, I am from present day Ondo state. Majority of cocoa plantation comes from present day Ondo state, Ekiti, osun, edo, Ogun and part of oyo state. Ibadan was just the then capacity and all the region felt the impact through free education, road development etc.
The second major source of income comes from present day edo and delta state which were part of old western region. Tell me which state that is rich in Cocoa than present Ondo state in Nigeria? Indanre LG alone is more rich in Cocoa than Edo and Delta combine. Am talking with Fact. |

mars123: how much MW are we generating? It isn't enough for you and I but our government is willing to share to other countries for money? This is not how countries that want to advance behave. It is laxity to agree to such demand.
No wonder Nigerians are suffering. We have a very poor thinking government. A government that doesn't care for its people. Do you think if Aso rock depended on that current its giving out, it will continue to give it out? But because its Nigerians that need it right? Who is this blind man arguing up and down? You mean you never still understand what they have been telling you since? |

freshest4live: This is not just about fair share, it's about efficiency and Management, we are not diversified and we can't manage all 36 states in this present structure by a 90 % dependence on oil. My concern is for Nigeria and the big picture not just my share which is important of course. Bro, have you ever ask yourself why African countries are like this? Developing....? Go to almost all African nation they re the same. Black mind with black thinking. I just believe that's how God created us. |

freshest4live: You may be right, but still with this present system nothing has changed in ondo/ekiti. What's more? Your cocoa in on do has almost been neglected for oil, and the Niger Delta is left unattended to as well. We even have a bigger problem now if you think about it. You can easily agitate in that smaller structure and hold those in lbadan responsible from Ondo than you can hold Abuja responsible. So my brother, no fair share anywhere in the world. Pray for your own blessing. That's all. |

freshest4live: I'm talking about regional Government. I do not deny there would always be theives but the policies of those who want to do well would be easily felt by the people, even if the state Governors are messing up, the ultimate decisions now lie with the president of the region who is now like a president over a small country. It would bring the Government closer to the people and make them more accountable. During the last regional government, Some state like my state were cheated, Our leaders then carry the proceeds of Cocoa from Ondo/Ekiti to build Ibadan, built 25 stories , built OAU, start Investment, but the sources of the money left unattended to. |
Politics › Re: 10 Positive Things That Would Quickly Happen If Nigeria Restructures... by Temidayo9(m): 8:10pm On Jul 09, 2017 |
freshest4live: Restructuring would reduce the appetite for political positions because they would have to think of ways to develop their regions with the resources they have. It would make these political positions less attractive, and help us diversify faster. However before we go into restructuring, Abuja(Federal Government) should not be totally fuelled by oil money, and we must reduce our dependence on it to an extent or at least make the Niger Delta contribute a larger percentage to the federal Government for the first few years until we diversify properly. Oil would soon be less relevant anyway. Those that have been ruling your region now, did they come from other place? No. Each state now have , Gov. Senators, etc... from same state. Same thing will also happen if Nigeria is restructured but other Thief may just opportune to join the current thief. |
