"Have you gone for the test dear?" Tolani asked.

Stella was silent for some seconds before she replied. "Why do you have to call her 'dear'?" She smiled.

Tolani trembled. He wasn't expecting her voice at all, he was expecting to hear Fave's voice. "Em.. that's the right way of addressing people." He replied.

"Hmmn.." Stella cleared her throat and smiled. "So you told her to take me to thr hospital right? How come you didn't call me since yesterday?" She accused.

"I wasn't alright, I'm sorry." 'Why is she sounding this way? Has everything changed? I know Stella now..' he thought.

"Can we meet? Em... maybe in my place." She said.

"Alright, I'll be right there." He replied.

Tobi woke up suddenly and wiped his face. This would be the fifth time he'd be having this same dream. He had been wondering what the dream might be but hadn't gotten a tangible answer yet.


He glimpsed at the wristwatch, it was just in the afternoon. He stood up and yawned. He had been dreaming, seeing a lady in a pink dress. Everything that was put on by the lady was just pink and the lady had been approaching him.

He hissed and walked in. It looked as if Monday should just come as soon as possible. He was tired of being at home.

Tobi went in to take his bath then took his car and drove out. 'It's been long he heard from his grandma, it's been long he called, it's been long he sent her some cash for her upkeep. "For how long I'm I going to be like this?" He wondered and drove on.

He remembered Stella. At least he wanted the best for her, the best had just started. "Shouldn't I return to Ibadan? I'm sure my boss will be happy to see me, he's going to have me back sef.." he wondered.

He thought once he got back home, the first thing he would do was to retrieve his sim and phone to contact everyone. "Stella..." he exhaled deeply and parked at the front of the eatery.


He glimpsed at his silver wrist watch and came dowm from the car. "I should be able to eat well before the arrival of Shola." He smiled and entered. He was staring at his shoes before he finally raised his head up and saw a lady in pink. 'This is exactly how she looks...' he halted and kept staring uncontrollably. Not to cause a scene, he decided to move forward to buy snacks and to be able to see the lady properly.

He stood beside her and saw two boys smiling beside her. "This one has given birth.." he thought within himself and kept glimpsing until his attention was called to buy what he wanted.

The lady had been picking money from her handbag so he hadn't seen her properly until she paid for what she bought and she saw her. "I've seen this face before..." he wondered and ordered for meat pie and five alive juice.

Immediately after he was served, he went to where the lady and the two small boys were and sat on the fourth seat. "Good day." He greeted her.

She gave him a long look, trying to remember his name. "Mr Tobi!" She finally recalled.

"Yes, but I've forgotten this face." Tobi smiled.

"I'm Feyi, I came to your company for..."

"Yeah! That's true." He grinned. "How come you're now in Lagos?" He smiled.

"Came to greet my aunt, what of you?" Feyi smiled.

"Just came to visit my friend."

She brought her aunt's children for refreshment in the eatery since their house wasn't far from the eatery. Prince and Peter; the boys had been winking at each other, smiling that their aunt was discussing with a guy.

"So how far with the project?" Tobi asked her.

"I've decided to hold it for now, I'll soon be back to your company." She replied grinning.

You look beautiful today, is pink your best colour?" He smiled.

"Sure, it is." Feyi chuckled.

"Its a nice colour anyways." He started eating.

"Father let this be my wish!" Tolani muttered as he came out of his car. He dipped his two hands into his pocket and stared at Stella's house for seconds before he eventually knocked at the door. Favour went to get the gate while Stella just laid in the living room. She couldn't tell how happy she was. "How was the test?" He quickly asked Faith.

"She's... AA not AS." Faith replied.


"How come? That is not possible, one's genotype can't change now." He pretended to be really shocked, wasn't that all he had always wanted?

"It seems there was a mistake where we did the first test. Her result was given to me while mine was given to her." She explained.

"You don't mean this... you don't mean..this.." he ran inside happily and met Stella on the sofa, pretending to be asleep. "You better don't pretend." He grinned inside.

Stella chuckled. "Naughty girl." He continued grinning and rushed to her place. He carried her right from the sofa happily and was just laughing. Stella opened her eyes too, laughing amd placed her right hand across his neck.

He felt chuffed, very delighted and gratified. What else could please him that much? What else could make him want to stay in Oyo State without leaving again?

"I'm so happy." He said, tears of joy started flowing again, he was just too happy.

"Remember I am at home, drop her down oh.." Fave entered, smiling.

"You better go and meet the M.D.." Stella laughed out.

"You are not serious.." Favour stood up and hit Stella.

"What? How dare you touch her?" Tolani dropped Stella quickly and rushed to meet Favour. He started beating her up, retaliating for Stella. "Beat her well.." Stella was grinning.

She even joined him after some seconds to beat her up. "If my Bolu catch you.." Favour was laughing.

    HEAVEN knew how fulfilled she was. Stella collected her result and walked out with Fave slowly. Was she dreaming or what? "Fave, what's happening?" She asked Favour again.

    "I don't know too. I guess I have to run the test again." She said.

    "Do you know what I'm thinking of? I guess the woman made a mistake. Who knows if she exchanged our data?"

    "I thought as much, you know she wasn't herself throughout." Favour replied.

    "I'm sure Tolani will almost go crazy on hearing this." Favour  grinned.

    "Don't tell him yet, we have to visit another hospital to know the final result." She said to Favour.

    "I won't." Favour smiled.

Kate walked into the supermarket. She was smiling and removed her sunshade from her face and picked up some items. She walked to the sales lady and brought out money to pay for what she had bought when a hand was stretched behind her, delivering the money to the lady.

"Don't worry damsel." She heard from behind.

She raised her head as she turned to see who the man was. "Good day sir." She bent.

"Good day." Temitope Williams smiled.

"I'm. . I don't. ." She startes stuttering.

"I came to pick my sister some gifts because tomorrow is her birthday. I ought to be in the office by now." He smiled.

"Thanks so much." She smiled as he paid the lady. "I own David and Co company." He told her.

"That's good, I'm the heiress to Kings Companies. My dad owns the companies." She smiled.

"Wao, that's nice. I've been staring at you as you enteres, your light complexion made you bright. You look beautiful." He grinned.

Kate chuckled as he helped her open the door to the exit of the supermarket. "Thanks so much."

"I'm Temitope Williams." He introduced himself.

"I Kate Davies." She smiled as she got to her car.

"I wouldn't mind having your mobile number." Temitope smiled.

Tolani had been expecting Favour's call till he had no choice than to call her again. This time, Stella just concluded her test and was about leaving the second hospital. It was stoll the same result that she was AA, while Favour was AS when she did hers again.


Last seven years, she was told she was AA, which meant that the woman mistook their names and gave them wrong results. Stella had been grinning happily as she left the company. "It's Tolani.." Favour told Stella as her phone rang.

"Bring it, let me talk to him." Stella snatched the phone and picked up the call.

Anoda update coming in 30 minutes' time..

    "But you said you were AA by genotype." The Doctor said, adjusting his tie.

    "Yes sir. The previous hospital I went to, I was told AA and it was confirmed." She replied. 

    "This isn't AS, madam. It's AA." He said.

    "A what?" Her eyes popped open as she glimpsed at Fave.

    "Is this real? Is it possible for one's genotype to ever change? I've never heard of it." Fave uttered, breathing heavily as if she was the one in question.

    "I'm serious. It is possible the previous hospital made a mistake, but that was wrong of them." The Doctor said.

    Fave and Stella kept staring at each other.

SEVEN YEARS EARLIER.

HALLY HOSPITAL.

A PREGNANT WOMAN was rushed in by two huge guys. It was on friday morning, the nurses were busy with other patients. The nurses at the reception hurried and helped the lady into that labour room.

Stella and Favour entered into the hospital smiling. They just got their admission into the university and were still having their registration. None of them knew their blood genotypes neither did they know their rhesus factors.


They came for their remaining tests because they've been parading the hospital since the day before- Thursday. "We came for the last phase." Stella told the nurse that was on duty.

"Alright, the nurse smiled amd dropped the pen she was holding. She lead them to the Doctor who would complete the test for them. The Doctor welcomed them with a smile and told them to sit down.

"We came for.."

"-the blood test." The Doctor concluded the sentence with a smile.

"Yes sir." Stella and Favour chorused.

"Alright.." The Doctor said and wrote brought out two cards. He enquired their names and wrote each of their names on each of the cards. "To the lab." He said and handed each of them their cards.

Stella and Favour stood up, both headed to the laboratory for their tests.

As they were about to enter into the lab, the laboratory attendant received a call about the demise of her brother. She wasn't herself any longer and called on the microbiologist to come and carry out the test, she needed to leave instantly. "You better carry out the blood test because I'm sure If you leave now, you may not return in a week's time. Wait, your grandma died a month ago, now your brother. You better find something to do to this!" The microbiologist scolded her and hissed out of the ward.

The lady felt bad and was already weeping. She told Favour and Stella about her brother, he had been battling with tetanus till he died eventually. She told the to sit, she'd carry out the test and leave instantly because she'd be needed. The ladies didn't want her to carry out the test but she insisted. Was she the only laboratory attendant? "Where are others?" Stella asked.

"Were sent to another hospital by the Doctor. The hospital is a new one that was opened yesterday and students like you have to run tests and no source for now."

She was shivering, but she had to carry out the test because the microbiologist was a desperate lady, she almost caused her to be sacked the month her Grandma died.

She rushed as fast as she could and told Stella and Favour to wait for her outside, she'd give them their cards to take back to the Doctor to interpret the result.

Not quite long after, she returned and gave them their cards. The ladies went back to the Doctor to give him the cards.

PRESENT- 7 YEARS AFTER.

"Hey gey! I'm sure you are AS. You were told to confirm again ehen you got here!" Franklin told Tolani.

Both had been discussing on mobile phone for seven minutes now. "I'm also sure, I'm really sure. I've done it before and did it again over there." He replied.

"Don't worry, but tell that your babe to go and redo hers.." Franklin told him.

'That's true...' he remembered. "Alright, thanks." He replied and ended the call.

He didn't want to call her. Hearing her voice may cause her more pain, as well as him. He remembered he had Favour's mobile phone number. It was her mobile phone number she used to call him the day Stella was kidnapped.

He dialed her mobile number instantly and told her to take Stella to a private hospital to redo the test.

-FAITH HOSPITAL-

Stella didn't want to go any longer. She just received a call from her mother that sh had gotten back home, hale and hearty. She felt like seeing her instantly, that was what that could bring her joy at that time but Fave insisted because it was Tolani that called him.

The test was redone in the hospital. Stella had already taken her mind off the test because can a miracle happen to change one's blood?

Both sat at the front of the Doctor for the result of the test.

TOBILOBA got dressed up neatly. He combed his hair and polished his shoes, looking different. That would be his first time of dressing as much, in Lagos. He looked handsome after he had completed his dressing and checked himself out before a full lenght mirror.


He smiled and turned his head. He saw his old phone on he bed there. He remembered those days he'd have dressed up, rushing to David and Co and fekt bad again. 'Stella...' he muttered and wore his shoe.

It was just some minutes to seven, he had gotten ready for the interview, as well as Shola, his friend who would support him there. Both took their various cars and headed to the company.

After some hours, the interview was completed and Tobi was employed. He was asked to come by the following week to start fully as the new accountant. In Nigeria, even a person who went to school to study Yoruba would work in the Bank once there are connections.


Tobi went back home. He was looking so happy he eventually got the job and called Shola to break the good news.

Tolani had been weeping since he got home too. He was remembering the story often and couldn't hold back the tears. After a whole lot of years, the relationship must be scattered. It was another day, he didn't go to his place of work.

He had been skipping his works since Stella was lost. The manager had called her father and got him informed about Tolani's new attitude to work. He hardly slept overnight, wondering and weeping. The time they spent together, plag together and gist together. 'Why on earth did we meet again!'

He was still weeping when his father called him and told him to come home, he needed to speak to him.

He left his father's house shortly before his friends from Manchester arrived for the beautiful house he just bought. He had always imagined how Stella would be in the kitchen cooking for him while he might be washing their cars or doing another thing. He had always painted the picture of himself, Stella and their children on the dinning, eating.

'Would this dream ever come to fulfillment?' He kept weeping.

His father's call made him leave the bed since he arrived the previous night. He took his bath and headed to his father's house.

Without speaking, his father had read it that something was wrong with him. He scolded the gatekeeper on entering into her father's house that he didn't open the gate in time.

He walked into the living room trying to take off his sad mood but he couldn't. It was so hard to do because it was a true love. He greeted his dad sharply and sat down.

"What on earth is your problem? The gatekeeper opened the gate for you immediately you hooted and you still shouted at him, even wanted to beat him. What on earth is your problem?!" His father shouted.

"Nothing Dad." He replied softly, trying to get hold of his face towel because tears had started dropping again. "You said nothing and you're weeping this way? Answer me! If you don't tell me, you won't like my next action." He said.

He started explaining everything to his father without stopping the tears from flowing. He really loved Stella, true love is so scarce.

His father also felt bad because something of such has happened to him before when he was young. He pampered him and told him to wipe his tears, he'd like him to get over it soon. It wasn't easy but it has to be done. "Just like that?" He kept asking his father, trying to control himself but it was difficult.

"In this case, the best thing to be done is to distant yourself from her so as to get over it as soon as possible. Would you like to go back to Manchester?" He asked him.

"No, though I wish to leave this state, but not Nigeria." He replied still gasping.

"Alright, will you visit my younger brother in Lagos for months?" He asked him.

"What of the company?" He asked.

"Your brother will take over.." he told him.

"Alright, I'm going to leave tomorrow then." He told his father. "Help me call him, i'll do that too." he added.

"No problem, my son."

"You can't be like this forever!" Fave cheered her friend.

Her own situation was even worse. She hadn't left the room and didn't sleep likewise. Fave had been persuading her but she didn't even answer her. "After how many years?" She kept asking her friend.

"God knows the best!" She kept telling her friend.

    Stella laid on the bed gently. As she was dropped by Tolani, she just started weeping. 'So everything the man said was mine...' she kept crying.

    One of the most painful the most painful things is to discover you are not compatible with someone after many years. She was wondering how she'd begin again, Tolani was also AS. She rembered the story the man told them again, If one should give birth to children that will eventually be cursing one because they have no rest, there won't be joy.

    She was waiting for Favour to arrive so sbe could tell her what happened.

    Tears kept flowing, she couldn't control herself.

"Wait, you should tell me yours first." Stella said to Tolani.

"I asked first, this is not funny because I'm AS." He told her.

"Serious?" Stella was shocked as she covered her mouth staring at Tolani.

"Jokes apart, what's yours?" Tolani was frank.

"I really AS also and even O- negative." She told him.

"Tell me you are joking." Tolani was getting frightened.

"I'm really serious." She replied, also breathing up and down.

Tolani was speechless.

Peter and Prince ushered Feyi in as she parked in the compound of her aunty. The two boys were the children given birth to by her aunt, Tolulope. "How are you?" She grinned, pulling their cheeks.

"Fine." The chorused and helped her with her bags. She stood looking round the house, it had been painted. The last time she came there, it had not been painted. "This is good!" She grinned and picked her mobile phone.

She called Kate and got her informed that she had gotten to Lagos, she'd call her later. She also called her parents and told them she had arrived in Lagos safely and was already in her aunt's place. It would be nice spending some days with her, she thought.

She walked in, adjusting her hair and smiling. She could pay anything to know how her aunt was. She had always argued with her that she'd grow fatter and everytime she saw her picture on the net, she'd tell her she had grown fatter just to tease her.

She rushed forward and hugged her instantly in seeing each other. "My aunty!" She grinned and hugged her again.

"Feyi the troublesome girl.." Tolulope laughed and offered her seat. "You don't ask after me." She said.

"I do.. don't we talk online?" Feyi grinned. "Prince, get me my bag." She said continued discussing with her aunt.

Her husband had gone to his place of work while the children were on holiday. She handed Prince and his brother what she bought for them and went in, to freshen up.

"Wait, Stella. If this is a joke, let me know now.." Tolani said as he drove on.

The forum was just completed. Both hadn't tasted the snacks they were given, they were just quiet as they didn't believe each other. "Jokes apart, I'm really serious." She replied.

"That means.." he stopped abruptly and his heart skipped a beat. He felt like dying.

Stella's system had changed. Her head was already aching her as they proceeded. If they had known, they wouldn't have started the love.
