To be honest, Canada is better than America in many aspects. The only part where America has an edge over Canada is more job opportunities and salary difference.


That being said, my Germany is better than the two

The language is the thing that chases people away from Germany. Otherwise it is a superb choice.

Most likely valve stem seals. In short, engine is burning oil. Plan a rebuild.

It then begs the questions:

1. Any reliable mechanic/auto engineer etc. in Lagos where this can be done
2. Cant I just buy a new engine?
3. What are the relative costs of replacing the engine and rebuilding the engine?

I use a 2008 Toyota Highlander V6.

Whenever I start the engine the vehicle sends out a white/grayish puff of smoke for a few seconds and then the smoke stops. This happens both at night or day. Hot weather or cold weather. It doesn't matter. As long as I have parked the car for a while, the white puff of smoke comes out for a few seconds (immediately after starting) before clearing up.

I also noticed one particular day I was ascending a fly over and tried to speed up and stepped on the gas pedal because I did not like the way a BRT bus was approaching from behind. The car released such a huge cloud of grayish smoke immediately I suddenly stepped on the gas. But this cleared after a few seconds.

Car doesn't overheat. Temperature Indicator is good.

What could be the problem(s).
