AFTER JAMB, WHAT NEXT?
By BALOGUN M.A.O (PLATO)
…After the release of the 2019/20 UTME results, A lot of students have been bewildered and troubled by their results rolled out by JAMB yesterday, Many think gaining admission into the University is all about marks/scores, Many a student who are used to me know that I say the painful truth rather than beautiful lies.
Admissions into most competitive schools are not score based. I’m not writing based on what I don’t know, but rather on field research and experiences. Listen to me carefully, If you do the things we are about to outline here, You’ll gain admission this year, If you don’t do them, you might likely not gain admission. It’s not a mere speculation but a fact.
This year, Exactly 1.99 million candidates have applied through JAMB and just about 750,000 candidates will be considered into Nigerian tertiary institutions. What this portends is that about 1.3 Million candidates will go back home and sit for JAMB next year and that’s more clear with the statistics released by JAMB yesterday which shows that over 1 million candidates scored below 180.
It’s usually believed that your admission is secured once you score 200 and above in the UTME. This is not true, Every year, many candidates who score 200 and above still end up not gaining admission while candidates who score 200 below end up gaining admission. So, scoring 200 and above does not automatically qualify you for admission or secure a seat for you. Conversely, scoring below 200 does not automatically secure your admission too, Bear in mind that a step in the UTME is always a stepping stone. To gain admission into any of the tertiary institutions this year, You’re advised to do the following;
First, Check out for the least JAMB score you’re requires to obtain before you’re qualified for admission into the institution and the least score you can have before you are expected to obtain before you can qualify to be admitted for the course of choice. You can equally ask us about that, you’ll be guided accordingly. If your JAMB score is not enough to fit you in, then you decide a change of institution/course. Kindly bear in mind that the course you’re changing to must be in line with your UTME subject combination and that the institution you are changing to will accept your score. There are Universities who have tendencies of raising their cut off, Ask us and we will tell you.
Furthermore, Get your institution Post UTME Questions and start practicing and get yourself familiarized with the method your institution adopt in screening her candidates, Whether Computer Based Test, Online Screening, Physical Screening etc. This will really assist you and help you prepare well.
The most important thing is to be Informed, Over the years, We observed that many candidates are not usually informed about the release of their institution Post UTME forms, In fact, some candidates get to be aware of the Post UTME forms late and many are usually unaware which they will be left with no option than waiting till next year. If you’re not informed, You’ll be deformed. Make sure you get yourself acquaint with daily reports that comes from TEAM PLATO REPORTS ( www.teamplato.com ). Don’t waste this year by not getting informed again, stay glued to any of our reporters for necessary updates.
In addition, You can only pass Post UTME by reading what is right. Candidates tend to focus their attention on archaic past questions and therefore not read beyond the Past Questions. Most competitive Universities like University of Ilorin, University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, Obafemi Awolowo University and more does not recycle questions again, what they do is rebrand Questions, change the scope and style and distract the candidates with unexpected questions. We know and understand how best all these are being done. Let’s just drop the pen here for now.
Don’t let Post UTME send you back home this year. Reach us on 08060948531 and be well guided today.

*Who Else Doesn't Fear Death As A Small Lizard Causes Commotion At Unilorin Central Mosque?*

Forthwith after the jumaat service was concluded,I started doing supplications (Adhkaar). Behold, the next thing I could observe was to see people jumping the fence and running helter skelter from the inner part to where I was sitting (outside).

In few seconds, the two other people beside me got missing like ghosts and I was left alone on the mat. Mere asking myself in fear on what prompted the incidence,I heard a voice from the microphone yelling *"La Ilaha Illa llah"*. Without hesitating anymore,I picked my sandals and took to my heels to a very short distance and stopped.

Hitherto, people were busy jumping, running from every corner of the mosque and some had to step on others to pave ways for their escape routes with no reasons. I even wondered why some people partly believed it was a bomb.

The incidence stopped some minutes which resulted in injuries in people, lost of phones and their likes. I later moved ahead to those inside the mosque, asking them the major cause of it. Frankly, some people were seen breathing heavily as they could not provide any reason for the incidence.

In a nutshell, it was later gathered that a small lizard fell on lady abruptly, and her yelling made other ladies beside her run helter-skelter,which eventually led to a big commotion inside and outside the mosque without excluding the Imam, the Muhadhin, the security men,the VC, members of staff and other Muslim students run from death on no reasons.

Candidly, few courageous people stood still and moved no inch during the incidence. But what should we say of the majority who took to their heels running away from death without an obvious chaser?

"And indeed, the death you are running away from, will catch you a day and return you to the one who knows the secrets and the obvious".(suratul jumah)

The Management of University of Ilorin has reached decisions on its first batch admission list, Candidates can begin to access their JAMB CAPS portal as from today.

The selection is not faculty or departmental based, that's what we taught initially until the process was explained to us. It's just random selection and this selection is very few from different units.

Even, Educational Technology aspirant caps has changed.

Our advise to aspirants is to keep checking their Jamb CAPS always and as from today. It's not faculty or departmental based. Jamb CAPS is slow and can accumulate few candidates within hours, Other institutions are also uploading. It's a gradual process.

Education9 Things First Class Students Won't Disclose To Anyone by Teryfik(op): 7:14am On Sep 26, 2018
(1) First class student don't read 24/7 : hmmm, the believe of many about candidate that bag first class honour sometime are not true.
You don't have to read from morning to Night before you become a first class graduate.
most of the first class graduate have a fixed hour for reading, between 2 to 5 hours everyday.
So, if you want to become a first class student, don't read for 24 hours..........

(2). First Class student Attend lecture : Yes, there is need to be in class always to achieve it and get it done.
Most of the student that graduated with first class can testify to my claim.
In the world of first class, you don't play with lectures.
If you want to have first class start attending lectures.
(3) First class student always want to know everything : there is a similar mentality on the head of many first class student.
Most of them will ensure all the topics discuss in their various Classes is well understand to the best of their knowledge.
If there is any topic they don't understand, they will always want to learn from others.
They don't mind to be your friend because of 1 single topic.

4) Cramming is first class best friend : No brilliant student can survive without cramming.
Although it is always advised to read and understand but if you lack the power of cramming, my dear say goodbye to first class.
Some student are first class but the manner they converse and communicate with people looks odd.
I have seen a first class student that cannot pronounce english words correctly.
The more you know how to cram the higher your chances of bagging first class.
Cramming and understanding works perfectly together
To know the name of your lecturer involves cramming which lead to understanding.
(5) First class student are Goal setters : there is always a vision for first class student.
Most of them will be aiming to Bag first class from their first year in school.
It will be too late to start aiming for first class in your 3rd year.
You must monitor your GP and ensure you keep pressing forward.
6) Be a teacher and first class is Certain : do you know that there is good reward when you teach others what you know.
It will make it very difficult for you to forget.
By teaching others you are building and increasing your knowledge and most of the first class student also have this attribute...
(7). First class student don't ignore the power of note taking and special notes:
There are many secret first class student will not want to tell you but if you study them closely you will realised where everything goes wrong.
First class student always tag some words, sentence or particular definition that comes from the lecturer which you may consider insignificant.
Pay attention to this and you will call Solutionclass.com to celebrate with you on the day of your graduation after bagging first class honour.
First class student have boy friend and girl friend. : most of the first class student will tell you otherwise but the truth will always stand.
Thought the failure of some student today is as a result of their relationship and friend in school.
Giving priority to your relationship ahead of you academic is insane.
You can have girl friend and boy friend but make sure your courtship is free from ........... Thing that can affect your Academic.
Chase your book and not the female folks...
Don't turn yourself to romeo and juliet while in school.
(9) First class student Are Gifted : make we talk the truth, we must acknowledge this fact.
To become first class is sometimes by gift.
We all know messi is the best footballer in the world with only 2 legs.
Other footballer also have two legs but are no where to match his standard.
We can be age mate but not grace mates.
Some brains are design to cram and also save information.
Don't hurt yourself if you fail to graduate with first class degree honour.
You might be destined for something greater
