Asylum is a risk in Germany for Nigerians the fact someone got it then is because it was then. Anyone who knows Germany know their rules are strict with immigrants most especially nigerians. Seeking asylum is a big trap in Germany for any illegal immigrants. The moment you seek asylum in Germany you are already marked for deportation. Any one living illegally in Germany my advice for them is to go start life in another European country because deportation is going on steady here in Germany.

I'm currently trying to confirm this from my friends in Germany but the appointment booking site states that applications that fall under 81a of the Skilled worker immigration act (along with vorabzustimmung zum visum) can book with that category. Under the link included in the site it states that Ausbildungen are included under the act and after reading act 81a I've learnt that the pre approval is also given to Ausbildung applicants so I'm a bit unsure atm. Maybe it's possible you are going off old information? Have you confirmed from your employer that the vorabzustimmung isn't given for Ausbildungen? The skilled worker act was only introduced last year so it's possible something has changed. I'll attach images and links below for reference:

it is the Choice of ur employer to initiate the procedure .some Ausbildung companies don’t like to involve themselves with visa procedure.some hospitals just take it upon themselves to do it .so as an Ausbildung student if ur company does not do it for u ur not qualified for the category and telling u from present Information and updated .your under the bfd,aupair,work visa.

My Family got their VISA delivered today. I will share the timeline. Note that I travelled via the skilled immigration act and got pre-approval for myself and my family. The whole process for my family from application to getting VISA approved Email took like 4 months. I learnt that even now with pre-approval, the family can get the VISA same time as at when the other spouse with the work Visa is travelling (Someone I know had this experience recently)

Lawyer verification process started August 6, 2021.
Got a mail from KVR to submit some documents September 7, 2021
VISA approved Email October 11, 2021 and to submit travel insurance and travel dates
Some delay in submitting travel insurance and some requested documents, VISA delivered today November 15, 2021
