Ok let's get a few things straight, the total fleet size of the presidential fleet is 9 that includes the 3 helicopters. 2 Falcon 900s a G iv and GII were sold.

Oh and just a side, the US air force one, (Boeing 757) costs about 180k per hour to operate, and that doesn't include the cost of the other planes(a passenger plane and a cargo plane) that fly with it on most trips.
so why are people complaining ?nigerians grin

@funclub,
Now u are beginning to understand.you know I told u almost 2 months ago to start exportation,I guess u didn't take me serious then.
I like ur guts and courage, but you have to start thinking out of the box, stop doing follow follow business, create ur own niche ,it may be shaky at the beginning but after some time it will pick up.you have a goldmine in ur hands which you aren't seeing, the day you see it is the day your rocket take off.
VENTURE INTO AREAS OTHERS DARE NOT GO.business is all about image.
a lasting image may take some time to clear but when it finally does it will never go away ,but a fake image will look good at first only to vanish fast.I am talking in parables,I hope u will understand me.like I always say to you ,there is only one direction for you and the sky is the limit
Politics › Re: Nigerian Jet For Malawian President by texaco1: 12:35pm On Jul 16, 2013
Let's get something clear here ,gej isn't the problem or issue ,
The problems stems from a failed system which gej inherited ,the legislative arm of government which ought to act as a check on the presidency excesses has failed to do just that. The house of reps and senate should have taken note of all these expenses and removed them from the budget.
This type of waste is a result of a corrupt system
NYSC › Re: What Business Can I Do with N500k, Advice Pls by texaco1: 11:48am On Jul 16, 2013
OluomoChampion: I really appreciate every info here! Am even thinking about travelling to USA after NYSC for my Msc. What about that? Any advice? Thanks a great deal.
Knowledge is power and with power you can become anything in this world.but I will not advise u to use ur savings on a traveling process that isn't sure ,if u can get a usa student visa that is good ,but before u leave nigeria start something there, someone once told me where ever you are try to plant an apple tree there ,if u start a business in nigeria and ur visa comes through with the exposure of the usa economy and society you can be building ur business interest in nigeria as well as studying.

solomon111: The national assembly should be the one to authorize the sale of those jets, and not the president.
The jets does not belong to jonathan,it belongs to Nigeria.
Pls help me tell them oo,it seems many ppl here on nairaland they have devoted their time in finding accusations and faults in gej.I think even when they sleep they are thinking of what next to accuse gej of
Politics › Re: Nigerian Jet For Malawian President by texaco1: 11:22am On Jul 16, 2013
solomon111: Most of those jets were not bought in jonathan's administration.
If you're looking for who to hold responsible,OBJ is still alive.
My brother I wonder oo,they want gej to start selling off the presidential jets .these are fg properties and they don't belong to gej,if anything it is the law makers that should scrutinise fg budget for these jet and make a drastic cut in it.gej is maintaining what he met ,yet if he starts selling them, nigerians will be the first to say he is selling them to his friends
Politics › Re: Nigerian Jet For Malawian President by texaco1: 11:16am On Jul 16, 2013
geeez: Trust me some people will come here and defend GEJ for wanting to buy more planes than the Malawian president has in her fleet of cars

The amount spent on the maintenance of these aircrafts can build a power plant for a community in a year

This is the main problem

" and
our under-performing legislators
have no reason to keep approving
new purchases or the billions of
naira they appropriate for their
maintenance each year."
Politics › Re: Al-mustapha Is Still In The Nigerian Army by texaco1: 11:03am On Jul 16, 2013
airfinance: Much as i agreed with you brother,i can affirmately and categorically tell you that it is a failed startegy to gain the supports of the north come 2015.as far as this govt is concern, the north all they want is power shit, regardless of what strategy this administration employed to gain popular supports in the north.
Keep believing in nairaland politics section analysis ,while the real game is going on out there.just wait till 2014 ,then you will know that he who holds the piper dictates the tune

Freedani: Bros they have already done that. I dont know why some people can't say something without bringing GEJ in
Someone said gej is responsible for the low water level at kanji dam.
Instead of them to look critically into issue they will be shouting gej, gej, gej

babagy82: We northeners are very powerfull, southeners will forever be our slaves. Had it been mustapha was southener, he wud have been dead long time ago. We are very cooperating politically, our own son will forever be supported unlike you southeners. Do you know almost 99% of northerners are happy with the release of almustapha? And you know why? Because he's a northener and a great man. Can u imagine a former dictators dog and a serial killer who has been released after 14 years of incarceration just to be welcomed by high dignitaries in the north? The governor was there, maitama sule was there, house of assembly members, kano speakers and some senators, emir of kano delegates, just for this man. How can goodluck allow the court to order the execution of this powerful person even if he is convicted?? Hmm, you guys dnt know northerners, we are the owners of Nigeria take it or leave it.
You are trying to tribalise the thread and it won't work so just shut it and start training ur brain on how to function properly

hardbody: My exact thoughts. That guy will definitely overthrow this or any other government once he is well positioned for it. At worst, he will front some other officer and give his support. But for a certainty, he will bring power back to teh North
Pls stop talking like jss 1 drop out ,you think it is easy like that to plan a coup abi?if u have a brother in the army you tell him to try it ,see if he slap you

elebua: Stop protecting Jonathan. If he does well we vote him again but trust me and Nigerians,he can never enjoy the overwhelming support of most Nigerians like he did last time. Eg I stood long hours and in the sun to cast my vote for Jonathan in the last election but I can never repeat the same feat for him.
I respect ur decision not to vote for gej again ,but let me state something clear, while some ppl will decide not to vote for gej so many others who voted against him then have decided to vote FOR him in 2015,gej is getting more support and voters everyday.the rate at which people are dumping him is negligible compared to the rate at which many are accepting him.

Super1759: its goodluck that planned his release, its goodluck that setup the fracas in river state, its goodluck that is behind bokoharamm......
Can this you president ever be behind any good thing? Why is your mind so corrupt and bad that you nail an innocent man at every mayhem in nigeria. And am sure he is also behind the coup in egypt.....silly you
Trust nigerians even if it doesn't rain they will blame gej for not forcing God to do it
