HezronLorraine: The bible condemns homosexual intimacy(s-e-x) in terms of it being considered as lewd acts along many other acts.It however was not elaborate on same-sex relationship as it doesn't define, recognize or condemn it,but it generally upholds heterosexuality as the accepted lifestyle. The bolded has been bothering me. I disagree. Biologically sex is meant for procreation. It is also meant to bring husband and wife closer. |
Jbluv55: There was a point it used to 100 and then 200 and now, NO LIMITYou "supposedly" won it once. Then the number changed. ![]() |

macof: The actions you speak of are all about the BibleYou are right. I was wrong. I thought I said "so called" Christian, not that they were "not" Christians. If I said "not" I was wrong. macof: And as an ex-Christian I know there's little Faith in christianity, it is Hope you all exercise and call faithIt would be silly of me to deny the bolded statement since it is Biblical. Hebrews 11:1King James Version (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Even the dictionary definition basically says the same thing. faith [feyth] noun 1. confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability. 2. belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact. I do not deny that faith is based on hope. |

Fhemmmy: Most that made in buz started as an hobby. ?.. dont let go of it.Thanks. I'll dust off my tools. ![]() |
harlos: thank you sweet.Cool...enjoy |
Fhemmmy: Are you into business and where are based? It's ok. This time I got you. Even without the "you". I'm not really into business. I used to have a business, but it was more of a hobby. My real job finally had to take a front seat.I build things out of wood, furniture, cabinets, toys, decorative stuff, that kind of thing. It is time consuming and expensive sometimes. It's back to being a hobby. I haven't built anything in a long time. Perhaps I should start again. I'm in the US btw. @topic It’s impossible to sneeze with your eyes open. |
Ubenedictus: Believing in one sole truth comes with the moral resposibility of teaching it and brands other opinions as errors, does this teaching make christains intolerant to other opinions and religions?Blanket accusations are always inaccurate. I'm sure there are some who are intolerant, but there are many who aren't. Ubenedictus: Terms like arrogance and intelerance are not defined, i invite those commenting to attempt to define them with reference before arguing for or against.I already defined arrogance. Let's try intolerance. Tolerate: verb allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that one does not necessarily like or agree with) without interference. It amazes me how many people think I must agree with them in order to be tolerant. I really like the quote Scyllapatron posted by Mahatma Gandhi "I like your Christ, I do not like your chiristians, your christians are so unlike your Christ" Even though I disagree with including all followers of Christ, I get his gist. Many Christians can be the most hypocritical people on earth. It is so easy to generalize, and bunch a group of people into what we want to see them as. Especially if we disagree with them some how. Unfortunately it is human nature to fear what we don't understand. Many of us get so wrapped up in our fear, we begin to hate it. That is where intolerance and arrogance begin to infiltrate our hearts and our minds. It is the point where Christ-like attributes begin to wane, and fear and loathing take over. The unknown causes fear. Fear causes intolerance. Intolerance causes arrogance. Maybe this thread should have been titled; Does Ignorance and Stu.pidity cause Religious Intolerance and Arrogance. |
harlos: lol.Congratulations!

Fhemmmy: Awesome, are into business as well and your baae?I have no idea what you are asking. |

Dygeasy: Literature section people too do it. It's very annoying I tell youYes they do. It's become the lastest "thing to do" in any section. ![]() |
My fellow Nairalanders, Do you have to quote the entire post with everyone else's ID in it Are you annoyed by the mention feature lately? I really liked it till people started using it to get more views and to bring more people to their threads. Then someone has to quote that post. Why have people taken something helpful and turned it into such a big pain?! @ Seun Any suggestions? Can anything be done about this ridiculous trend of tagging a bunch of people then someone quoting that person over and over? |
macof: Culture is supposed to be the bedrock of the lawI didn't ask what culture says the law is "supposed" to be. I asked what the law actually is. |
3cycle: Culture does not allow women fight for their kids, you either stay and endure or you leave and forget them. You said culture. Does the law say the same thing? |
^^^I have some questions. Would you like me to as them privately or here? |
