While the subsidy removal has brought hardship to the masses, it's also generated significant revenue for states and governors. Some states are utilizing these funds wisely to improve citizens' lives, while others aren't making much impact. In Enugu state, the benefits are evident: CNG buses, terminals, and road projects will slash transportation costs. Additionally, agro-processing plants in each senatorial district will help reduce food costs. The health and education ministries have also seen notable advancements. These achievements demonstrate the governor's effective management of allocated funds. It's worth noting that not all governors or states can boast similar progress. |
Yeah subsidy removal really put money in the Governor's pockets for infrastructural development but it's also caused a massive inflation in the country. I wish the FG would bring out policies that would bring the prices of other commodities down, same way they did with grains. Here in Lafia, a mudu of rice is sold for 1k. So it's way cheaper than last year |
Zyrac:You probably haven't heard of Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, A-Q, Loose Kaynon, Black ones |
There are many factors but let me mention a few. 1. Historical and Cultural Influence: Football has a long history in Africa, particularly in North African countries like Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, where the sport was introduced by British colonialists. This early exposure helped establish a strong football culture. In contrast, some Middle Eastern countries have traditionally focused on other sports or developed football infrastructure later. 2. Investment in Infrastructure and Youth Development: Countries like Morocco and Egypt have invested heavily in football infrastructure, including stadiums, training facilities, and youth academies. These investments have helped develop young talent and improve the overall standard of football. Some Middle Eastern countries are also making significant investments, but the impact may take time to reflect in their performances. 3. Participation in International Competitions: African Arab countries have a strong tradition of participating in international football competitions, such as the Africa Cup of Nations and the FIFA World Cup. This exposure has helped their teams gain experience and improve their skills. Middle Eastern countries, while increasingly competitive, may have less experience in these high-stakes tournaments. 4. Coaching and Talent Development: The quality of coaching and talent development programs can vary significantly between countries. African Arab countries have produced some excellent coaches and developed strong programs to identify and nurture young talent. In contrast, some Middle Eastern countries may still be building their coaching expertise and talent development systems. 5. Passion and Support: Football is extremely popular in many African Arab countries, with a passionate fan base that supports local teams and national squads. This enthusiasm can drive success by creating a competitive environment and encouraging young players to pursue football careers. Middle Eastern countries also have passionate fans, but the level of support and enthusiasm for football can vary. These factors contribute to the differences in football performance between African Arab countries and their Middle Eastern counterparts. However, both regions have talented teams and players, and the gap is narrowing as football development initiatives continue to grow across the Arab world and Africa at large. |
It's unfortunate that an ex convict would be appointed minister. What message are our leaders sending to us? |
Zyrac:Go and do you research bro. He has done his bit in bringing some hip-hop starts into limelight. We've lost our conscience so much that we are supporting fraudstars (thieves). Oh my country |
Enice:You clearly know nothing about what I just posted here. Those loans are for existing business, companies or enterprises who have not less than 10 employees. They are not individual loans. I rest my case. Try and read about it so you can learn. It's not an argument. Just learn okay? A little research could help you grow your business more |
Enice:Your clearly don't know all the responsibilities of the government. Right now, the Nigerian government have the following programs to help businesses thrive in the country Here is the list of programs: 1. SMEDAN Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS) 2. YouWiN! Connect 3. Bank of Industry (BOI) SME Loans and Youth Entrepreneurship Support (YES) Programme 4. NIRSAL Microfinance Bank (NMFB) Loans 5. SMEDAN Empowerment Programs (GROWHer, ADEP, WISE-P) 6. Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme (PCGS) 7. Family Economic Advancement Programme (FEAP) 8. Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) 9. Agricultural Support Programs (SMEDAN Fund, ACGSF) 10. MSMEs Digital Academy (MDA) 11. National Business Skills Development Initiative (NBSDI) The challenge here is, the system is corrupt and as an entrepreneur like myself, until you have someone from the inside you may not be able to enjoy from these programs. Imagine you are on the verge of getting N70m loan from BOI, but you are told you will have to give 20% of the money as kick back |
The system is flawed. Despite the Federal Government's growing revenue, it's failing to deliver on its core responsibilities. These include: 1. Creating jobs and promoting entrepreneurship 2. Providing access to affordable credit 3. Investing in agriculture and food security 4. Implementing targeted social welfare programs (e.g., cash transfers) 5. Developing critical infrastructure (e.g., roads, electricity, schools, hospitals) 6. Ensuring transparent and accountable governance These are essential measures to alleviate poverty, promote economic growth, and improve citizens' well-being. It's time for the government to prioritize the needs of its people and ensure that revenue is used effectively to drive development and prosperity. |
Enice:Can individuals truly innovate and thrive without support from our leaders? If a young person develops a groundbreaking innovation, will our leaders provide the necessary backing? The key to fostering innovation lies in creating an environment where companies, both local and international, can flourish. By promoting such an ecosystem, our leaders can challenge and empower our people to achieve financial breakthroughs through innovation. When leaders support innovation, they unlock opportunities for entrepreneurs and inventors to grow. This, in turn, can lead to economic growth, job creation, and a better quality of life for citizens. By encouraging innovation, our leaders can help build a brighter future for our nation. |
Places grow and develop based on the quality and unity of their people. We have the right to change our leaders, but often, we allow petty differences to divide us. It's worth noting that many countries, including China, have diverse populations with different tribes, religions, and opinions. However, they prioritize national development over individual differences. It's disheartening to see people from different regions, such as Igbo and Yoruba, engaging in conflicts over trivial matters. Given their status as some of the most educated and influential groups in the country, one would expect more maturity and understanding. Let's focus on building a united and prosperous nation, rather than letting petty squabbles hold us back. |
Reasons why we should all understand the importance of succession planning and will writing. If those families were all doing well you'll hardly hear about such in a where everyone is independent or when there is a will on ground already |
The news report stated that these individuals voluntarily surrendered and submitted themselves to the authorities. This development highlights the importance of distinguishing between those who are arrested and those who willingly surrender. In cases where suspects are apprehended by the army, the situation may warrant more severe measures. However, when individuals voluntarily surrender, it presents an opportunity for rehabilitation and reintegration. It's commendable that the Federal Government has recognized that many of these cases are often linked to underlying issues such as poverty, lack of education, and unemployment. The Almajiri program, which is prevalent in the North, has been identified as a contributing factor to these problems. To address this complex issue, it's essential to implement a multifaceted approach that includes education, job creation, and social support. The government should consider deploying security operatives to the region to enhance monitoring and control. By doing so, they can better understand the root causes of these issues and develop targeted solutions to support those in need. |
elonize:Yep, it was donated to the church because the temperature in the church was not conducive for the church members. Diverting church properties to his house is stealing. The least he could do is plead with church members to make contribution towards buying him an AC |
But he can control them right? |
Misplaced priorities. Are sports men/women more important than Education or Health? They could use same medium to reward outstanding teachers in both government and private schools, lecturers, health workers and even entrepreneurs. Anyone with an outstanding unique performance |
elonize:Why take it home illegally? Leaders should be the first to set good examples. |
Daejumong:That's the reason why Pentecostal Pastors feel like gods. They just do however they feel like. Zero control, cost they have absolute power/authority over every church member. Questioning them is tagged questioning God's authority. Naso we carry money contribute go buy AC give church for Dunamis, next thing pastor do carry am go him house... That's when I stopped going to the church 😂 |
FreeStuffsNG:What Nigerians are after is to see a significant drop in price of these commodities. Without this, then it's all noise. |
tgmservice:Is she an hotel ambassador? Why are you asking obvious questions? You've seen. Her taking pictures in several hotels. You don't need to come and ask questions cos it's clear she's hustling. Guys that see her in hotels will definitely ask for her contact and ride her. O guess she's beautiful that's why you want to doubt the obvious.... I want to guess you are a kid |
FreeIgboho:Are there no lands in Badagry,Epe or Ikorodu? If there is a ministry of Agriculture, then there must be fertile lands to farm. If people farm in London, it's not impossible to farm in Lagos then. I've seen how the Chinese farm rice on water. That will be easily achieved if the Lagos government wants to do that though |
On the surface, you may appear successful with cars, but in reality, you are just a chauffeur running errands, taking cars for maintenance, or driving them to car washes and mechanics. The toughest part is when the wife disrespects you, made worse by the fact that her family supports your household financially. To me, this situation feels like a blow to a man's masculinity and sense of self-worth. |
It's surprising that I'm in Lafia and haven't heard about this. This situation is appalling. To address the issue, the state could consider increasing security measures in higher institutions and student communities. Deploying additional police presence or establishing security outposts might help mitigate the problems. These areas have been vulnerable to various issues, and a more robust security presence could potentially help curb the menace. |
Though the English common law, which forms a significant part of Nigeria's legal framework, has Christian origins and influence, it's not exclusively based on Christian principles. Those laws are not questionable and to a large extent are better. As a Muslim I can't quite say the same about the Shari'a law which has raised questions about violating human rights. If this becomes national, it'll bring more religious divide and would easily question our understanding of law as we know it |
Our health systems desperately need upgrades and comprehensive system strengthening. However, corruption remains a significant obstacle. It's evident that if our health systems improve, our leaders might no longer need to travel abroad for medical care, which could impact their personal interests. Moreover, improved health systems might reduce the government's reliance on foreign support from countries like the UK, US, and Netherlands. Unfortunately, corruption is deeply ingrained, and it seems this leadership has enabled and perpetuated it. Until we address this issue, meaningful change will be difficult to achieve. |
samfrancis1:Sure herbs are good. A matter of fact most drugs are made from herbs. But often times such testimonies about use of herbs solely to heal sicknesses have led hundreds of thousands to early graves |
I'm a midfielder and I still play active football, but I must confess that playing as a wingback is one of the hardest positions. Unless you're a naturally athletic person, you'll need to have an extra burst of energy. We've got world-class players like Messi, Ronaldinho, and Zidane who excelled as forwards or attacking midfielders, focusing on creating scoring opportunities. On the other hand, wingbacks like Marcelo, Cafu, and Dani Alves are known for their technical skills, defensive abilities, and attacking prowess. Wingbacks need to be versatile and have a lot of stamina. Box to box midfielders comes next |
samfrancis1:Confirming you are not a health worker, I rest my case. |
samfrancis1:Though our body can regulate itself through homeostasis and all that and the body can ejaculate sperms for men and vaginal fluids for women on its own through wet dreams. There are some persons with high libido. You probably are not a health worker |
[quote author=MrIcredible post=136303470]Many Aboe keys no go see this one... If na tribalism or nepotism, dem go see North is constantly reaping and enjoying where they didn't sow [/quote It's a more reason why as Nigerian men, you all need to marry plenty wives and give birth to more children so you can decide leadership of the country. You might be poor but you will rule. Go ye into the world, multiply, subdue the earth and rule/have dominion over everything and everyone. |
Knowledge, education, and reflection have made me reconsider some things. I now believe that masturbation can be haram depending on the context. For example, if someone has a spouse and chooses to deny them intimacy but engages in masturbation instead, that could be considered sinful. However, if a person is unmarried and their body produces high levels of hormones such as progesterone, testosterone, or estrogen—leading to a heightened sex drive—then I believe masturbation may be permissible in that context. |
tgmservice:Of course she is. Do not for once compared our culture to the Europeans. A man and a woman are not equal in an African culture... There are one thousand and one reasons |
