My own experience happened in 2010. I was traveling back to Awka (unizik) cos school has resumed.

I boarded PMT at Ojuelegba, and that was during the era of ore road, we've all heard nasty tales about how dangerous and notorious that road was. The road was an eyesore and was littered with hoodlums and criminals who rob passengers with reckless abandon.

We left Ojuelegba by past 7am to and got to ore by 9pm cos of the traffic.

The driver now decided to park at a local motel so we can pass the night there and continue our journey at first light the following day. We all agreed cos we knew how notorious that area was especially at night.

By 3:am this silly PMT driver started horning for us to board that he has to be in Enugu by 7am cos it's his turn to load Lagos.

We told him it's still very early and dangerous, he rudely told us that he doesn't care that if we want to remain at the motel he would leave us and go.

So we boarded back the bus and continued our journey, to be honest, I was scared. Very scared.

We passed through ore and entered Benin, as we got to the benin bypass, I heard 3 loud gunshots, the worst had happened.

The robbers blocked our way with planks, tires and fired sporadically into the air to scare off anyone around.

Our driver halted the bus and they asked us to alight and lie on the ground, they ransacked everyone, phones, cash, shoes, wristwatches...etc were all taken.

My only joy was that the bus was filled with female students in fact more than 80% of the passengers were girls, yet no one was ràped.

After robbing us, they left us lying face down on the road and made they way into the bush. We go up, counted our losses, insulted the living hell out of the driver and moved on.

We got to unizik junction by 9am, that was an experience I will never forget.

The driver is actually one of them

It's a German Shepherd and is going to grow big too.. That's all I can say

The way in which spoons get lost in every Nigerian home should vividly be studied, However, it can't be studied. It looks as if there is a force or spirit behind this disappearance. Nigerians now serve people with plastic spoons. I recently bought a dozen and carefully studied it to see if I can discover the myth behind the sudden disappearance, I made sure I returned it after use by placing it where it can be seen everyday. Surprisingly, I discovered two was missing after 2 months..... Is there anyone who can light the candle on this issue or share with us same experience?

A day before I was favoured by this God-sent man, I cried to God that I would stop sports betting. I lost 10k that night to betting, being the last money I had. I was afraid I would lose myself because I didn't know how I would survive throughout the month. The next day, I met this man on Twitter, we chatted and he sent me 35k, I was so happy that day. Well, I think I need to comment on this thread cos I have faced similar situation.
In my own case, my parents were not chasing me away, but things were so hard at home. We struggled to feed. But at least we managed to feed twice a day. Seeing the situation as the first born, I started conceiving the idea of leaving home cos I felt I needed to relieve my parents off the extra burden of feeding me. After my NYSC, I made calls to some of my relatives and friends, telling them, I would like to stay with them still I could secure a job and gather some extra money to stay on my own (cos I had some savings from NYSC at that time). But to my amazement, everyone was coming up with one excuse or the other, hmmm. Being that I had already made up my mind not to go back to my parents, I used the savings with me to rent a room(dunno if I should call it face me I face u, cos bathroom and toilet was outside ) and the remaining to feed myself pending when I would get a job...
Oboy, after a month, when the money don finish, you needed to see the kind of hunger wey come dey flog me left, right and center on a daily basis. . I was struggling to pay bills too, and I was starting to regret my decision of leaving my parents.
Well to cut the long story short, after three to four weeks of intense suffering, I was called for an interview for a job I applied for, I was given the job and was asked to resume immediately. Feeding and accommodation was taken care of by the company whenever I was on duty, cos I was sent to a location outside the town in which I reside to resume. And since then till now, I have not regretted my decision to move out( apart from when hungry wan kill me initially ooo )

So bro, different strokes for different folks, if your parents are buoyant enough to take care of you, fine you can stay and enjoy the benefit of having well to do parents, but if you look at things, and you see leaving home will really bring a big relief to them, then you should find a way to leave the house oo, cos they would never tell you with their mouth to leave, you are the one who needs to take the initiative.

your story is similar to mine, I have relieved them of some burden. The only difference in the story is that hunger still dey nack me small small but I strongly believe all go set Sha ....you are correct, they won't use their mouth to tell you to leave but you leaving them is not bad

The decision is for you to make. My advice is that you should try to save first(100k or above). You can rent an apartment after saving. A man must be a man, you will leave them one day but the freedom that follows when one is alone is great as you will be able to think on your own, on how your life should be.
