Have self awareness 6. Know when, where and how to read 7. Are dedicated, motivated, persistent, etc 8. Learn to do things individually before consulting friends, Google, lectures, etc 9. Sleep or rest 10. Read from the beginning of the semester 11. Understand (or try to) ALL concepts before moving to the next one 12. Ask questions whenever and wherever possible 13. Consult different materials or resources 14. Actively participates in other mental activities 15. Reduce distractions to the minimum 16. Great time management 17. Seeing test as also an examination (getting all the possible maximum mark in class) 18. Ready to learn and open to criticism 19. Passion for the course they are studying 20. They know what questions to attempt in examination (some questions are meant to be resected). I can go on and on from personal experience. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Your argument is flawed. How long are we going to continue this restriction? If a vaccine is not made soon, what will be the fate of the country? What about teachers? How will they survive? An article was published by NBS this week about job loss due to government's regulations regarding COVID-19, do you want the economy to be crippled? The educational sector should be gradually opened for students in final year, SS3, JSS3 and Primary 6. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/may/18/french-minister-tells-of-risks-of-missing-school-as-more-pupils-return-covid-19 3 Likes |

Nbote:Smiles.... There's no crime in admitting you've goofed earlier with your message. The more you defend yourself (your words), the more you will expose your thought patterns. It is not in my place to expose your flawed argument because if I should, you may not be comfortable with the use of my words. My lack of logical reasoning (sense) may come off as rubbish as you had earlier stated. |
Health / Re: COVID 19 And Used Clothing by thankyouJesus(m): 4:49pm On Mar 10, 2020 |
Nbote: It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads. In general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from food products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient, refrigerated, or frozen temperatures. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/faq.html According to the WHO, coronaviruses may survive on surfaces for just a few hours or several days, although many factors will influence this, including surface material and weather. That’s why personal preventive steps like frequently washing hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, and wiping down often-touched surfaces with disinfectants or a household cleaning spray, are a good idea. https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/as-coronavirus-spreads-many-questions-and-some-answers-2020022719004#q5 |
Health / COVID 19 And Used Clothing by thankyouJesus(m): 4:29pm On Mar 10, 2020 |
We warn all Africans not to acquire or search for used clothing during this period and also during the period to come, because in most of the European cities which are currently experiencing the spread of the Corona virus are getting rid of clothes of infected patients both dead and alive most especially in homes where people have been infected with the virus. Many of those who care about exporting these clothes do not care about the health of others and they now collect them with the intent to sell them to Africans who buy and import them to Africa. . It would be better now and for your safety and that of your children to avoid the use of newly acquired used clothing. Better safe than sorry. cc: dominique, Sissy3 |

Winneygirl:Ohhh my bad, I'm sorry. I thought you're a staff of First Bank. My account was opened in Lagos (I've submitted utility bill, etc to this effect). I school in Ibadan and I was asked to submit some other documents which I did too. |
Family / Re: First Bank (issues); "Ibadan Branch" by thankyouJesus(m): 6:38am On Jan 29, 2020 |
Winneygirl: Smiles, thank you for your feedback but what you've written is very far from the truth. The details on all my documents are consistent. Summary of my issue: I noticed I can't make any financial transaction and I was at the bank (08 - 01 - 2020) to ask why.... I was told it is due to "kyc (know your customer)". What does knowing your customer got to do with my account (my thought)? I submitted all requested documents (10 - 01 - 2020). 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 days after when I got no feedback (SMS, Call, Email), I paid a visit to the branch once more and I was asked to submit some other documents which I complied with also. It is not my intention to drag First Bank online (I can't write on my experience from 10 - 01 - 2020 : 28 - 01 - 2020 because it will be a great disservice to her organization and customer's service) but to get answers to my questions. You're probably a staff of First Bank, please do well to call me out if I've written something contrary. 12 - 01 - 2020. Please be advised that your complaint has been registered with case ref "FBN-1201202910719" and it will be resolved within 3 working days counting from today. You will be notified once it is resolved. This is 17 days after...... |
Family / First Bank (issues); "Ibadan Branch" by thankyouJesus(m): 8:01pm On Jan 28, 2020 |
I am left with no option (I have placed several calls, sent direct messages on Twitter, wrote (severally) to First contact, visited and submitted all required documents) anymore but to tow this line. In a bid to protect the financial institution, I will keep the details of my grievance for now. I have searched online with no direction in sight of how to close a savings account. How long does it take to close a First Bank account? What documents do I need to go with when closing my account? My account is domiciled in Lagos and I am schooling in Ibadan, can I initiate the process at any branch or I will need to visit my branch in Lagos? cc: Lalasticlala Please help out.... I have exhausted all channels to express my grievance for close to 3 weeks. |
