Religion / Zimbabwean Prophet Finds Cure For HIV/AIDS! by Thashen(m): 3:27pm On Oct 29, 2018
Walter Magaya, a self-proclaimed Zimbabwean prophet and doctor, claims that he has found a cure for HIV/AIDS – and that his cure is scientifically proven.
Magaya, from the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries, told his congregation on Sunday that the cure can be found by mixing two plants, one called Aguma which is found in Zimbabwe and another plant which is found in Mozambique, Zimbabwe’s Pindula News reported.

“God has given me a revelation, we tested it and it’s perfect. God showed me a certain tree and certain people. We have found the cure for HIV and Aids,” said Magaya.

“Right now, my team is working on dosages for the different strains of HIV.

“It has been my dream to help believers and non-believers. I have been hiding this secret after I found it two years ago because I wanted it to be chemically proven, scientifically proven.”

The self-claimed doctor added that his main ambition was finding a cure for HIV and cancer.

“Components of our plant starves cancer cells. Chemicals in Aguma are enough to make your immune system strong so that it can fight any foreign invasion,” he explained before adding that he realised the world would dismiss his discovery – until they eventually agreed with him.

To prove his assertions Magaya said he had tested his potion on a number of HIV positive patients who had subsequently proved free of the virus.

“At this stage, we’re 100 per cent organic because we find that there’s no side effect. We’re mixing plants from here in Zimbabwe another one from Mozambique,” he explained.

“The government is free to summon our own research board and test this medicine for themselves. As for me, I’ve my own testimonies but people will listen to a minister rather than a mere prophet.”

Magaya said he has formed a company he named Aretha Medical, which he said involved "some Indian partners".
However, there has been no independent confirmation from any reputable medical establishment that Magaya's concoction is in fact a cure for HIV/ADS.

Sports / Barcelona Coming To Africa! Barca V Sundowns by Thashen(m): 9:01pm On May 05, 2018
European giants Barcelona will be coming to South Africa in May to play a friendly against PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns .

The match will take place on May 16 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

With the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in their ranks, Barcelona will be expected to sell out the 90 000-seater stadium. Sundowns confirmed the news via their Twitter page on Friday, billing the clash as a 'Champion v Champion' affair.

This will be the second time the teams meet on South African soil.

In 2007, in front of a packed Loftus, Barcelona came from a goal down to beat Sundowns 2-1.

On that occasion, Sundowns brought over as close to a full-strength squad as possible with Brazilian midfielder Ronaldinho the headliner.

Fans will be hoping that the big names make the trip this time, too.

Foreign Affairs / Winnie Madikizela Mandela Dies! by Thashen(m): 3:30pm On Apr 02, 2018
JOHANNESBURG - ANC stalwart and struggle veteran Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has passed away.

She was 81.

Victor Dlamini, the Mandela family spokesperson said in a statement Madikizela-Mandela died peacefully at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg early on Monday, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

"Madikizela-Mandela was one of the greatest icons of the struggle against apartheid. She fought valiantly against the apartheid state and sacrificed her life for the freedom of the country. Her activism and resistance to apartheid landed her in jail on numerous occasions, eventually causing her banishment to the small town of Brandfort in the then Orange Free State.

"She kept the memory of her imprisoned husband Nelson Mandela alive during his years on Robben Island and helped give the struggle for justice in South Africa one its most recognisable faces. She dedicated most of her adult life to the cause of the people and for this was known far and wide as the Mother of The Nation," the statement said.

"The Mandela family are deeply grateful for the gift of her life and even as our hearts break at her passing, we urge all those who loved her to celebrate this most remarkable woman."

On Monday afternoon, two members of the Mandela family confirmed that Madikizela-Mandela had been admitted to a Johannesburg hospital at the weekend.
In January, she was admitted to Milpark Hospital with a kidney infection and exhaustion.

In October, Madikizela-Mandela underwent a procedure on her knee.

Dlamini said details of the memorial and funeral services would be released once these had been finalised.

Wow so vagina appeared like magic... Yes? Ok. I wonder how the child was able to live for so long without any way of expelling urine. Why do we even have or need surgeons and doctors if this man can do this!? Why are all these great men always found in Africa? So many questions and no answers.
So Africa is not worth having "great men"?

TV/Movies / Nigerian Film Industry Vs South African film Industry by Thashen(m): 5:58pm On Mar 02, 2017
I've seen a lot of Nigerians bragging about Nollywood being the second largest film industry in the world, generatimg billions of nairas per annum, but why is it none of the Nigerian movies has ever received any international nominations?

South African movie industry is not second, or third largest film industry in the world but it's a force to be reckoned with in the international market!

Here is a list of South African movies that won international awards.

Tsotsi

Tsotsi won the 2005 Academy Award for best foreign language film and was nominated for the Golden Globe for best foreign language film in 2006.

District 9

District 9 received four Academy Awards nominations, seven British Academy Film Awards nominations, five Broadcast Film Critics association nominations, and one Golden Globe nomination.

Long Walk To Freedom

The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original song ; U2’s Ordinary Love . It also received 4 golden globes and won a globe for best song.

Yesterday

Yesterday (played by Leleti Khumalo), was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 77th Academy Awards, as Best Film at the 3rd Pune International Film Festival in India. Inaugural Human Rights Film Award at the 2004 Venice Film Festival, Awards for Best Sound, Best Make Up and Best Editing at the 2005 African Movie Academy Awards and Nominated for Outstanding Made for Television movie at the 2006 Primetime Emmy Awards.

Spud

The film was nominated for six South African Film and Television Awards, including Best Cinematographer (Lance Gewer), Best Editor (Megan Gill), Best Sound Designer (Barry Donelly), Best Feature Film, Best Lead Actor in a Feature Film (Troye Sivan), and Best Supporting Actor in a Feature Film.

For Love and Broken Bones

Felix

The list is endless.

Nigerians should focus more on quality than quantity. And learn how to pronounce English words properly and correctly. How will you receive international nominations when you still pronounce think as tink, and thirsty as tasty?

This is the problem when you people will not read. I have given you all you need, but you will not read, you are all so distracted that you cannot smell it even if they rub it into your nose.

I am not TB Joshua, me I am telling you straight out from the Bible that president Obama will not hand over to Trump, this is written in the Bible for all who have the patience to search for it. I have done a thread on it, but no one listens. I have done my part, if you like listen, if you like continue to mock and jest, every man's palaver is his personal property.
LOL! Really, President Obama will not hand over to Donald Trump? gringrin
