Jamie90:For a card trip, the platform only tells you to complete ride at the end of the trip, for a cash trip, it asks you to collect cash, when you click on collect cash, it calculates the fare and asks that you collect the calculated amount from the rider. If the first scenario is the case, you are on track. You just need to navigate through the accounts section of the app to the part where you will enter your banking details and Uber pays you the excess on your account every week, they also deduct their commission from your card payments, so if after deducting their commission, you still have some excess (meaning you did more of card trips), the excess will be paid to your account at the beginning of the new week. Where the second scenario is the case. Go to that particular trip receipt and report to Uber that the rider did not pay, stating pick up and drop off locations and every other thing that may have transpired in between, which may be important in your report. Uber pays for the trip and may even compensate where necessary. With Uber, you're always safe either ways. Cheers! |
I'm interested please |
Naijalegal:Hi bro, quite an educative piece. I'd love to reach out for a convo, if that's okay with you. |
Let me quickly make a submission. I may be discussing two instances. Instance 1. Great Grandpa moved from Bayelsa State to Lagos when he turned 18, lived all his life in Lagos, paid all his taxes whether directly or indirectly to the Lagos state government, got married, had kids and sent all of them to schools in Lagos, thereby contributing his quota by paying their fees or any kind of levy the government may impose on the kids. All of these are repeated, from his children down to his great grandchildren (just imagine how much must have been paid in taxes, levies and all kinds of revenue generation format over the span of four generations). Due to being original, they never changed their state of origin on all valid documents up till date, despite the undeniable fact that they all will have Lagos deeply stamped into their IdentificatioN anD GENE at this time, (due to having three GENErations born and bred in Lagos, and the creator of that GENEration would have it as his fourth). they retained Lagos as their state of residence. They visited their place of origin a few times to bond with families who stayed back to hold the home front, not exceeding 2 weeks, at most, one month before returning to their state of identity. There comes the time to enjoy the benefits of being an indigene from their place of identity and they are denied or discriminated against simply because the documents they tender carry Bayelsa as their state of origin, as the mandatory column to be completed when filling out official forms is the state of origin. Is this equitable, justifiable and of good conscience? It is quite easy to figure out instance 2. However, I'll be in the comment section waiting to update instance 2, if the need arises, meanwhile ponder on the above. Cheers!!! givedemwotowoto I expect you to comment first and tag naysayers to come test their conscience. thatniccur posted this article on nairaland.com on the 16th day of July 2025 at 10:00 a.m Nigerian time. Great God. This is just a confirmation of every thought process i have had in the past 1 year. |
Hello |
davit: |
boss, I don refresh tire for your feedback. Please in God's name, please help me. |
davit: |
davit:Please boss, are you still in Ghana and can I send a pm please? I am also in Accra |
sonmvayina:Why go to the Creator (God), through his creation, rather than go to him directly without one single item, except for your heart. |
Please brothers, please help me...please |
CheerfulGiver:Received bro, thank you so much. God's Blessings now and always. Thank you. |
pope191:So sorry to hear that bro. Thank God for life |
Pearl1910:Can I send you a pm? If you're willing to help or help me get help. |
Roarke:Okay, thank you so much. looking them up right away. I'd be grateful if you help me understand this part tho |
donbrowser:I currently do not have a phone for now, I only go to a cyber cafe to browse for the time being |
CheerfulGiver:This brought about mixed emotions bro (tears and joy). Thank you for both the kind words and the action. I am grateful, very grateful bro. I'd sleep different tonight knowing that shelter is sorted. |
northbird:Boss, please for the sake of humanity, I beg you in God;s name, do not judge. You already said that you do not know why people gamble. I'd be extremely grateful If you can help. Whether by kind words or by actions. I had to monster the courage to open up and I believe that it is possible to stop. Not been able to go for the labourer job right now for a few days as there has been no job and it is affecting me. I had to borrow 1k as that's the best the person could help me with and instead of getting food, I went to the cafe to get time. Please, in God's name, I need help. |
Shimmaa:This is completely wrong. I beg you in God's name, please do not downplay my situation, I know my self better than you know me. It is unfair to assume or jump into negative conclusions. Normally, I had said I would not respond to negative comments, but I just have to state this clearly, I am tired of it and I wish to stop but I admit that I am too weak to do it alone and I need help. It has caused me so much harm such that there is no normal life to go back to and I am tired of that. Please I beg of my brothers here, do not engage me in rash conversations so as not to add tot my situation. If there is a way you can help, I would be eternally grateful. It goes beyond the rent. I just mentioned that my mental health is messed up and my response might or might not help the situation, if engaged in rash conversations. I understand clearly that most times, it is more difficult to get help for a disease that affects the mind and mental health than it is for things that affect the physical body, above all, we pray for sound mind and good health, Amen. The rent is 20k per month and I had been paying and also feeding from the manual labour job which I do for almost 3 months now. I can either pay 10k for two weeks or 20k for one month. |
Djdamian:Thank you so much for this positive feedback, it completely addresses the situation as the answers lie there in. Haven identified the answers, how can I be helped in that regard? 1. Getting mental Therapy 2. Finding healthy ways to keep myself occupied. (There is no job here so I have to get back to lag and find a job asap) which would help me earn and then I can pursue purpose 3. Purpose can be discussed with the therapist and during therapy. 4. I might need help with getting activities that will keep my mind actively engaged. All of these can be achieved over time, beginning from now, as I am ready, completely ready. However, financial assistance, is of importance, as part of the things pertinent towards keeping man alive is shelter. I am completely ready to open up to you if you are willing to listen and relate to the thread on my behalf on how to help. I clearly understand you, but I can assure you It would not be geared towards gambling, as I would not want to sleep on the streets in a foreign land or roam around like a destitute. I genuinely need help and I am willing to make things work. Total accountability is going to be of importance as I am sure the therapist would also make it a part of the treatment plan. There is the need for me to relate with an individual (maybe a professional) or someone from the thread, who is willing to listen and relate with the thread too. Suicide only presents itself as an option when you are without any help in a pressing situation. If I am unable to pay the rent, the only option would be to sleep on the streets and that is not an option, so suicide presents itself. would most definitely be used to renew the rent, as I pay monthly. I have been here for a couple of months and I have been managing but it is getting more difficult as there are no jobs. I engage in manual labour and it has not been easy. I am willing to open up asap, as the Yorubas say oku o ki fara pa mo fun eni to ba ma sin. We all are brothers and that's why I came to seek your help. I am very grateful for the feedback. @pope191 @pear1910 |
Pearl1910:Pearl my bro, I know we must have had our differences and I truly hope it doesn't have a negative influence on how you choose to help me. To begin with, I need to be able to get off this addiction and I know it would require therapy...also, I currently do not have a dime to my name as we speak, I am in debt, my rent is due tomorrow and I am in a city where I know no one. I am using the internet from a cyber cafe. |
WareLogMan:Thank you so much. I am grateful for your kind words. I am currently in a far away city where I know no one and I have pressing needs with no way to address them, majorly rent and feeding. My rent is due tomorrow. I feel like I am not in the right mental state and need mental help to overcome the addiction. The Yorubas say iku ya ju esin lo, and the thought of being put to shame and embarrassment triggers the suicidal thought, also the thought of not being able to stop chasing losses... |
I am begging to be helped please. I am on old timer on this thread and I am posting with my original account not to be called scam. I do not want to give up without trying. I am at my lowest lowest lowest. Please brothers please help me |
izzou:every kind of help I can get sir...I have lost everything and I dunno where or how to begin. |
ThatNiccur:brothers, please help me, please |
