I will be brief about this.

Earlier this week, we got the shock of our lives; we would be laid off at work by month end due to financial setbacks the company is going through.

Meanwhile, we figured it out ourselves after connecting some dots, thereafter we asked questions and our fear became a reality; we were never told prior to making our own findings.

We didn't prepare for all these, and majority have already set things in motion in their personal lives. It is indeed a shock!

Now the question is; is that the right approach when it comes to disengaging workers from service? Are we fairly treated?

Was there an employment letter or a contract of employment? If yes, what's the condition for contract termination? If no, it's unfortunate, there isn't much to be done, except the company chooses to compensate on compassionate grounds and that's at their discretion.

The system is working and that is all that matters. It is a starting point, why liberate from progress? Isn't that retrogression.

You do not know the level of traffic being experienced by Lagosians on a daily basis. This is some level of relief and it is a welcomed development. People can quickly get from point A to B, without much hassle.

Isn't it beautiful that your flight arrives Lagos, and you just walk out of the airport, straight to the train station and you're on your way, hassle free, traffic free? Do you know how much time people spend in traffic to, say the Island, from the airport? It cuts down all of that stress. It is a deliberate and strategic move, towards reducing the amount of traffic time, which in turn would increase productivity. It should be commended.

You can do better, look for other posts, not this one.

This has been long overdue. Their high-handedness on Eko bridge, while enforcing the law on the use of BRT lanes, without consideration for first time road users, is something else.

The lane does not even have proper markings, enough to deter a first time user or one who's not conversant with Lagos roads, from falling prey.

No consideration for the gridlock, caused by the repairs being done at Apongbon too.

Allowing road users to make use of the BRT lane occasionally would decongest the other two lanes and ease traffic.

Good riddance abeg.
