Lalasticlala and other mods should pay more attention to this thread and bring sanity and decorum.
Some of these attacks, curses and abuse are really disgusting to read! To think that grown/matured/married family men are the ones displaying this barbarism, is really disturbing! That's to show you say naija issue pass leadership and government issues. |

Noticed it's his usual way, to misinterpret/manipulate comments just to drive home his point for defending wrong. No stress yourself for that guy matter. See his comments on posts here and I know that's the only way je tries to win an argument, same way he manipulates time on the app to make more money because he wants to net 1m. |

izzou: So what's the difference between your screenshot and what PuzzyNegro is complaining about?
You have a discount of 800, if not, it would be 1900 for the trip
PuzzyNegro had a discount of 800 and his total was 1700
So please, what is the Sakamanjeh in this?
Or are you trying to tell me that there was no single multiplier when he ordered? Why did the driver keep the "paid waiting" running till he hit Mobolaji Bank Anthony? The cheat isn't so obvious here because of the short trip time due to the road being free, but nonetheless, he did cheat. Keep defending such actions. I'm done, this topic has taken a whole lot of my time today. Let's all endeavor to do what's right because even if we do wrong and get away with it...Karma dey trickle down to generations. No cheat is too big or too small, all cheat na cheat, so long as the rider is unaware and does not approve of it. |

izzou: Show me your screenshot that's close to 1200
I'd like to see it.
And yes, there's no surge I said 1,300 not 1200. Trip was summed up to 1050 by pearl's calculation, I added 220 base fare which made it 1,270 and rounded it up to 1,300. There's surge in that estimate, you should open up the details of what you posted up there. Mine shows 1,900 to 2,300 and I have 800 discount. This is an estimate on 1.3 surge pricing #FactsOnly

Pearl1910: The bolded applies to u too. How convenient to ignore the 39minutes which is just an estimate from the google map. And hammer that trip was 24minutes
How convenient for u to assume, there was no surge or traffic. Only the drivers App will give an accurate calculation of that trip as per distance, time and base fare. That Rider will not even notice if there was surge or not cos he was on a Bonus that reduced his fare to less than 1k. I mean, who goes to Airport from Somolu on less than 1k to on a private chatterd car and turns around to complain that driver cheated him. I guess I overrated your intelligence. 34 minutes in red means there's traffic. If you still do not know how to read Google map up until now, I sorry for you oh. |

izzou: You didn't add base fare.
We are also assuming that only PuzzyNegro was the only one on the road that day. No other car was plying that route.
The fare is obviously more than 1200.
I have tried using my app to check. And the least I got was 1600 (2000 minus discount of 400)
I think his own case is an error on the Bolt algorithm. But that doesn't mean drivers don't find loopholes to perpetuate fraud Base fare is 220. Your estimate right now is wrong because there's surge in that area, I just checked too. |

Pearl1910: Good, Now that we r on thesame page, I say let Rider complain to Bolt for clarification of the confusion in d details rather than forming inspector gadget and claiming drivers are defauding him by starting trip midway. Only trouble makers or ignorant fools make noise for no reason. And coming to do it on partner and drivers forum for r that matter. Nonsense. Everyday we berate drivers who cheat Riders. And viseversa. We even help riders to contact or disturb a driver to refund funds collected fraudulently. I will never defend fraud. Accusing drivers of fraud for something that has already been calmly explained to u over and over again will not be accepted by me. Say you join crowd shout thief for person head, no mean say you sef no be thief. That you help call out drivers who cheat doesn't exonerate you. Defending this particular action (whether ignorantly w or otherwise) implicates you the more. It only shows you do not want it casted, as it is your modus operandi to net 1m monthly. |

Pearl1910: Was it u I said don't have sense? If not, u too don't have sense! What are you saying?? This is just distance covered and trip time. Have u added base fare?
Now, u don't even know for sure how long the trip of 1,700 lasted in reality. It could be longer than 24mins. And u don't know if rider had kept driver waiting more than 5mins. Plus if there was surge or not.
U r just jumping like a frog into conclusions. I didn't say you do not have sense, you said it yourself, thanks though. Base fare is just 220, added to 1050. Max should be 1,300. Man said there was no surge, no wait time either, which means he didn't keep the driver waiting. Why did the driver start the trip from Mobolaji bank Anthony, as against starting from Somolu (the pick up point) He still got 1,700 as against your theory of cheating yourself if trip is not started at the pick up location. Continue to indulge in it and keep defending it, you dey gather Karma wey generations go come inherit, no worry.

davit: I doubt this assertion though. Even in the eye of the truth, you choose to doubt facts. Meanwhile man even said his house is just 2 minutes from the express. This location might even be more than that, because I input Somolu and not an exact location. Do the maths and tell us how it should be 1,700...no traffic, no surge, no paid waiting. Your doubting is irrelevant though. Whether you doubt a Corolla car is a Toyota product or not, doesn't change anything. Y'all always look for a way out, it's difficult to find a Nigerian that would say "oh I'm sorry, I goofed, apologies." Doubtist lol

Pearl1910: That's what I do, that's what is required and that's what the training demands. Cos I am off the opinion that if I drive u one inch without starting d trip, I have cheated myself. So much for damage control, having defended a 10,800 trip from Chevron to after Magboro and a 1,700 trip from Somolu to the Airport. We know who your type. Speaking from both sides of your mouth, when you know you've been busted. Why didn't the man who started a trip from Chevron to Magboro, on Lagos Ibadan Express way (not too far from the drop off location) cheat himself, when he ought to start the trip from Chevron? Would that not amount to almost 2 hours of paid waiting? Considering the trip duration? Same goes for the man who started a trip to the airport from Somolu, on Mobolaji bank Anthony (close to the drop off location). Y'all play on the rider's emotions and intelligence, making it seem like if you start a trip after leaving pick up, you get shortchanged or cheated, when indeed you're the one shortchanging and cheating the rider. Pearl1910: 24mins X N12 = N288 11km X N70 = N770 Total = N1050 This is the actual amount for a trip from Somolu to the local airport, so why then were you defending N1,700. You're like every other criminal minded Nigerian. One way or the other, y'all love to earn what do you not work for. |

U just dey drive pass and u hear as they are giving the lecture...na microphone them use abi. Abeg abeg abeg, park one side They keep paid waiting running while on the trip, knowing that the distance covered would be calculated, and for all we know, some trips could last as long as 2 hours. I fit stop for Atlantic mall pretty quick, for a trip from one of the estates around, either Cromwell, Bera or other estates on Chevron drive. PuZZyNegro: You see reason with me. I live very close to Palm Groove bus stop. You will enter Ikorodu road within 2 minutes of driving out of my house.
From that place through Anthony, Maryland, climb Ikeja bridge to Airport without any traffic. How can such a short trip end 1700? Definitely, he's only defending the actions to allow him continue his criminal pattern and allow riders believe there's nothing like that. If you're a rider and you're on this thread, spread the word. Insist your driver begins the trip right at the point you step into the vehicle. |

Pearl1910: See beef o...high earnings... hardworking If u say a driver arrives when he hasn't arrived, I will agree with u. Drivers do that, and the difference is most times about N50 or N100. is it that one I will use to buy another car or make 25k daily?
If u say a driver starts d trip before getting to pickup, I will agree with u cos that will definitely increase the fare.
The argument this morning is a driver will click arrive, pick up rider and not start trip until he is half way into d trip. So yes, he has accumulated waiting time, but has lost money for the distance he has covered. Oga, since u guys cannot think for urself, let me tell u today right now that d driver has lost earnings, even now that waiting time is high unlike before that it was insignificant.
For you to be taking lessons from drivers that park and gist on Chevron drive, I already have a picture of who u r, ur mentality and how u reason. Your usual way of manipulating conversations and changing narratives. I never mentioned anything about parking and taking lessons from Chevron man, but you would say anything to defend your criminal actions, read the post well to understand and comment accordingly, criminal. Was specific, when I hear drivers teaching there fellow drivers, of what use would it be to me? Or you didn't see where I mentioned I only used to drive on Uber? Stop your criminal acts today, there's no such thing as small crime or big crime. What goes around comes around, it is simple, when you cheat people, be ready for the consequence that follows such action, no matter how little you think it is. People keep paid waiting for as long as 2 hours, even on surge trips. Been driving on the platform even before you got a license, so forget that issue of taking lectures from Chevron drivers, I do not even stay there, I go all the way to the end of the road, through the alternative route and back on the express, and before I'm done with that round, I get a request. . You're a thief, taking people's 1k here and there, by the time you do that on 10 trips, that's about 12k extra on paid waiting alone, on a daily basis. You're a thief bros. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ThatNiccur: 9:46am On Oct 07, 2021 |
geezyk: 1. There's no surge whatsoever. 2. It calculated the distance of 9.3km even without arriving, i bet the algorithm made the calculation on the estimated price and that i started and ended the trip as said destination. If we went to VI from there even without my knowledge of starting the trip, distance will be calculated minus time spent on the trip. You do not need to explain anything to him, because no matter how much you do, he would keep defending like he was the one that took the trip for you. The difference is less than 1km and a lot of reasons could he responsible for that, but it is most definitely not because you didn't start the trip in time. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ThatNiccur: 9:43am On Oct 07, 2021 |
davit: Imagine: from Shomolu to Airport! Stop making it seem like Somolu is all that far from the airport, it actually isn't. Somolu is close to either Palmgrove or Onipanu, both places aren't so far from Maryland, Maryland all the way to the airport isn't far away either. Y'all should stop defending criminal drivers, who would cheat the system by allowing the paid time to read, up until almost the end of the trip, because they know fully well that the system would calculate the distance covered, regardless of where they choose to start the trip, thereby playing on the intelligence of riders, it is wrong. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ThatNiccur: 9:38am On Oct 07, 2021 |
Pearl1910: Go and ask Bolt, don't blame driver for technical errors shown on map. If that driver thinks he wants to cheat u by accumulating waiting time at the expense of distance covered, he is a mumu. And If u have sense u should be happy that the mumu driver short-changed himself. Cos If d driver had started that trip from pick up point, ur fare would have been more than that.
U even had a Bonus of 800, u paid only 900 on that trip and u r here venting. Chai..omashey o. poverty is bad. Please next time take d mode of transportation u can afford so u don't have a heart attack. The way you've been defending this whole issue of paid waiting just goes to show you're guilty of it. This sakategy has been in place for almost two years, if not more. When I was active, I drove on Uber alone and most times, I go to Chevron drive, I hear drivers discussing this and teaching themselves how to go about it. You're afraid your only way of earning so much (illegitimately) while working less, is about to be made known to riders and would therefore affect your criminal earnings. Like they say, everyday is for the thief, one day is for the owner. Y'all ants are about to be busted. Insulting hardworking drivers and making them feel like they aren't working well enough, while you inflate your earnings by cheating the system. You do not want riders to be aware of the situation, hence your reason for defending vehemently. |
