lezz: Keep dreaming my friend. One day, you will qualify to be listed as an emerging market. But today, you haven't emerged yet. You are still a frontier market. But keep those dreams going. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-02-11/gulf-nations-defy-oil-rout-to-top-list-of-best-emerging-markets?hootPostID=b5ea05008beeb0f058a2cad0d4d76225

Patchesagain: Look at my last post and read the article again. It's some bad piece of writing. Look at the first parts by the journalist and then look at the direct quotes towards the end. Also, the $200 bn value that Henry is talking about is not even raw cocoa and it's global. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 1:08pm On Nov 04, 2014 |
Henry120: And upon reading your article again, it even contradicts itself. It can't be taken seriously and is not even worth arguing about. 1. It says the GLOBAL value of raw cocoa exports is $10 bn. 2. Then it says 76% of selfsame cocoa is from Africa. 3. Then it says Nigeria exports $10 bn in value of cocoa, which does not work with 1 and 2. This is rubbish. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 12:56pm On Nov 04, 2014 |
Henry120: Providing seedlings is a cost to the taxpayer and is only meant to facilitate the industry. That doesn't mean that the government is the exporter. Individual farmers and entities are. It just makes no sense that if the collective industry exports $10 bn in value, then the government earns $10 bn. The article is simply a picture of how big the industry is. It has nothing to do with government earnings. We can't even work out from the article how much each of the actual exporters make in profits. How much their income is and how much they pay in duties or income tax. Nowhere does the article say your government earns $10 bn. you're stretching things. A lot. Anyway, your article says "nigeria EXPORTS $10 bn ...cocoa". Your bolded sentence is a beeeeeg thumb suck and misrepresentation of what the article says. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 12:33pm On Nov 04, 2014 |
Henry120: First of all, the nigerian government does not farm or sell cocoa. So, that the government earned $10 bn is rubbish from that perspective. Two - if I sell units worth $10 bn, that's only my revenue. The top line. The bottom line will be less. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 12:25pm On Nov 04, 2014 |
Henry120: So meaning is in the title now? The value of your exports CANNOT be equal to your earnings. Your country exports $10bn in value. That's not the bottomline and that certainly NOT government earnings. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 12:15pm On Nov 04, 2014 |
Henry120: Rather how on earth can anyone say value = earnings? That will never make sense no matter how hard you try. |

agaugust: And this is why you hid the source, you dirty FRAUD! "The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is in the process of acquiring new fighter jets and helicopters, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Adesola Amosu told a press briefing on 8 April. "Recently, the Federal Government approved the acquisition of new fighter aircraft and helicopters for the Nigerian Air Force as well as the upgrade of some of our existing platforms to enable the service to perform its roles," AM Amosu was quoted as saying. The NAF chief did not identify the aircraft types or numbers that would be acquired. Nigeria's defence budget for this year includes funding for the procurement of six additional Mil Mi-35 attack helicopters and the reactivation of an Aero L-39ZA jet trainer, but not new fighters." http://www.janes.com/article/36560/nigeria-to-acquire-new-fighter-jets |

agaugust: You can speak like the persecuted messiah until the sun rises in the east, but it won't change anything. You are a fraud, like you have been told before. You tried to mislead the forum. We can read for ourselves man. If you'd posted the links before, why go through the trouble of making screen grabs. It's much easier to paste links? No, Auguby. We don't buy it. Let us read for ourselves or simply quit this story. What devalues the thread are fraudulent posts. And enjoy sulking! |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 9:23am On Nov 04, 2014 |
agaugust: Dude, you did transpose a Nigerian source over the UK one. So, unless you post the original link so we can read for ourselves, we deem you a fraud. You can sulk as much as you want, but the fact remains, you tried to misrepresent things. Why did you have to marry the two sources and why did you hide the rest of the UK source under the Nigerian one? 2 Likes |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 8:58am On Nov 04, 2014 |
Henry120: Read your link again. That's the VALUE of the exports. That's not your earnings. Patchy's numbers talk to your ernings. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 5:39am On Nov 04, 2014 |
agaugust: Experienced in what, Auguby? Running? What's good here is that we can finally do away with beegeagle because you now understand the concept of "respectable magazines", with beegeagle being neither respectable nor anything close to a magazine. If these fighter jets are hidden, how come you found them? Anyway, anyone who writes "arriving the country" is not British. Anyone who writes that is as Nigerian as a big pile of yam. Post the link and stop transposing sources over each other. That's fraud! 1 Like |
