Jus sayin... U.S. crude-oil supplies are at their highest level in more 80 years, according to data from the Energy Information Administration, equal to nearly 70% of the nation’s storage capacity. A key U.S. storage hub in Cushing, Okla., is expected to hit maximum capacity this spring. While estimates are rough, Citigroup Inc. believes European commercial crude storage could be more than 90% full, and inventories in South Korea, South Africa and Japan could be at more than 80% of capacity. http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2015/03/05/oil_market_update_the_world_is_running_out_of_places_to_store_all_of_its.html Hier kom 'n groot, EFFense gemors 1 Like |

EVarn: We have tons of proof: 1. The words of our ministers. 2. The words of tons of international publications and Nigerian people. Posted already. No need to post the proof again, unless you want to keep being embarrassed. There are South African mercenaries in Nigeria as the evidence shows, and your bare denials cannot counter the evidence. It is not DieVluit that insists. It is the evidence that does. Until it is countered, it will continue insisting. You have nothing. 1 Like |

EVarn: Exactly. Meaning that you don't have any real "scenarios" to counter our arguments with. You can only bring illustrated scenarios. You have no argument. Again, advancing bare denials for 3 pages proves nothing. You have accordingly said nothing. 1 Like |

EVarn: Your "I don't have the patience" line is followed by an entire novel, which can only mean that you do have the patience. But what you don't have is an argument. You already accepted that there are South African mercenaries in Nigeria by posting that they were shipped to Nigerian under the ministry's noses. This was not my argument, but yours. Once again, you post things without thinking, as always. EVarn: 1 Like |

EVarn: Introducing "feelings" speak in an intellectual space can only mean that you are projecting your own feelings onto the thread. Typing three pages of bare denials does not prove anything. But what has been posted by us proves that there are South African mercenaries in Nigeria. |

Henry120: My position on terrorists activities in the N.E hasn't changed. That doesn't mean that BH has not taken and cannot take territory in Nigeria. The shame is in that BH has taken territory in Nigeria. That the military will not leave this alone is inconsequential. There are no SA Contractors in Nigeria, this is a fact. It's not a fact simply because you with that to be the case. You have no evidence to counter what has already been posted. The evidence says that there are South African mercenaries operating in Nigeria. |

Chad saves Nigerians yet again. Shame on you, Nigerians. Shame on you. Boko Haram hit by Chadian assault in NE Nigeria: residents Kano (Nigeria) (AFP) - Boko Haram militants suffered heavy casualties when Chadian troops pushed into Nigeria this week, residents who fled the fighting told AFP on Thursday. Chad's army said on Tuesday evening that they had seized control of the town of Dikwa, which is about 50 kilometres (31 miles) southwest of the Nigerian border town of Gamboru. The offensive deep inside Nigerian territory was a first and suggested a strategy to tackle other rebel-controlled areas in northeastern Borno state, which is the group's stronghold. The Chadians are part of a four-country coalition mounting a regional fight-back against the Islamists. "Chadian soldiers took over Dikwa from Boko Haram after heavy fighting on Tuesday," Bababura Diwa, who lives in the town, said by telephone from Fotokol, across the border in northern Cameroon. Diwa said the Chadians came from Gamboru, which they previously recaptured, with heavy artillery power and overpowered a group of militants at Lomani village, 15 kilometres from Dikwa. "When they came into Dikwa there was intense fighting but at last they subdued the Boko Haram fighters," he added. "They killed many of them, including Abu Ashshe, their commander who was notorious for seizing cattle in the area. "I used the opportunity provided by the presence of the Chadian troops to leave the town. I was afraid to leave when Boko Haram took over the town for fear of being branded a traitor and killed." Diwa's account was backed up by several other residents, who took advantage of the Chadian advance to flee the ancient town, which is near Boko Haram's makeshift camps in the Sambisa Forest. Jidda Saleh, another resident, said Chadian troops launched heavy aerial and ground attacks on the Kala-Balge area, particularly on Nduwu village, which he said was a "major Boko Haram stronghold". "The whole village was bombarded and it is obvious Boko Haram suffered heavy casualties from the aerial attack. Ground troops moved in later," he added. "Meleri, which has a huge Boko Haram concentration, was also bombed by Chadian military jets and then taken over by ground troops. "By the time we left we learnt the Chadian soldiers were on their way to Kushimori village where Boko Haram keep the livestock they seize from people. "They have kept thousands of livestock there. They sunk boreholes and recruited people to rear the animals for them". Algoni Wal-Amire, another Kala-Balge resident, welcomed the offensive. "Living under Boko Haram was like living in a minefield. You are always afraid your next step could be your last. I thank God I'm now safe from them," he said. 1 Like |

This is why the Nigerian Air Force needs training. Nigeria blamed as civilians killed. Niamey - At least 36 civilians were killed when a military plane bombed a funeral party in a Niger border village, the government said, in an incident its deputy mayor blamed on the Nigerian air force. The air crew was likely to have mistaken the villagers, who had gathered near a mosque, for Boko Haram militants, Niger military sources in the nearby town of Bosso said. The Nigerian military did not respond to Reuters' requests for comment about Tuesday's incident, into which the Niger government said it had launched an inquiry. "Yesterday... an unidentified plane dropped a bomb on the village of Abadam-Niger... while the population was assembled near a mosque," the government said in statement read on state-owned television. "The provisional toll is 36 dead and 24 wounded." The government decreed three days of national mourning. "Two planes flew over Abadam on Tuesday afternoon. For me, with that very visible green colour, they were from Nigeria," Abadam's deputy mayor Youram Ari told Niger television station Labari late on Wednesday. Abadam lies on the border with Nigeria around 13km southwest of Bosso, where thousands of soldiers from Chad and Niger are massed in preparation for operations against Boko Haram. Abadam in next to a Nigerian village of the same name and military sources in Bosso earlier said the bomb had fallen in Nigeria. Boko Haram, which is seeking to carve an Islamic emirate out of north-eastern Nigeria, killed an estimated 10 000 people there last year, and it is now expanding its zone of operations across the region's borders. Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin are preparing a 8 700-strong force to combat the militants. 1 Like |

Enough said: “This is basically what made the deployment of the South African experts inevitable, in view of the fact that Nigeria was running out of time and there was the urgent need to substantially address the Boko Haram problem. The top military hierarchy and the Federal Government are trying to revamp our image which is at a record low, especially going by unprecedented breakthroughs recorded by troops from neighbouring countries,” the source explained. Henry120: Proper evidence is all over this thread. You only chose to deal with the picture cause it's easy pickings, but it was never the main evidence - not even for Patches. Yes - the Israelis provide support, but that does not disprove the fact that South African mercenaries are in Nigeria. The story of South African mercenaries in Nigeria has in fact NOT been denied by our minister of defence or our minister of foreign relations. In fact, they have expressed their unhappiness at the mercenary activities, with the minister of defence saying the mercenaries will be arrested upon their return. All this has been posted on this thread already. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 9:03pm On Feb 18, 2015 |
Henry120: The pictures and videos are not the primary evidence of the presence of South African mercenaries in Nigeria. The story was there long before the emergence of the pictures or videos. So, dismissing the pictures and videos does not dismiss the story. In fact, the whole picture and video thing is a strawman. |

rka1: I can. Tons of evidence has already been posted, showing that there are South African mercenaries in Nigeria. And the pictures have also been captioned accordingly. The evidence is widely triangulated. You have nothing. And because you've accepted your inability to say who they are, you can't deny anything. |

rka1: That does not prove that the white people in the picture are Ukrainian. Fact is you don't know who those guys are. And because you don't know who they are, you can't say they are not South African. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by ThaVluit: 10:31pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
rka1: The "rumour" started weeks before the pictures were even posted. In fact, you could remove the pictures and the evidence still remains. The evidence says categorically that there are South African mercenaries in Nigeria. Your Ukranian instructor comment is meaningless because you cannot prove that the people in the picture are Ukranian instructors. Therefore, that they are South African, you cannot deny. |
