PoliticsRe: Why Fuel Importers Will Frustrate Dangote – Obasanjo by TheAlchemist: 2:19pm On Aug 06, 2024
lonelydora:
I have said it over and over again. Both FG and Dangote have blame in all of these

But I want Dangote to win. That refinery will help our economy. Let's leave politics aside.
If dangote refinery will guarantee Nigerians quality diesel and pms, better than what is currently being imported then I hope he gets at least 70% of the Nations market share.
PoliticsRe: Federal Lawmaker Defends Dangote, Accuses NNPCL, NMDPRA Of Sabotage by TheAlchemist: 9:52am On Aug 02, 2024
You mean dangote completed a refinery of this magnitude without ensuring how he would source his crude, there is a serious problem with his supply chain management team.

BusinessRe: Tinubu’s Order Won’t End Dangote Refinery Woes – Experts by TheAlchemist: 3:55pm On Jul 30, 2024
I hope Nigeria still has some oil blocs onshore or offshore which can be sold to Mobil, Chevron or Total in exchange for their current crude oil production. They can work out the discount rate to be applied to the oil blocs. This will ensure Dangote gets more than the required crude oil for his refinery. This is a simple solution out of this.... NNPC does not have enough crude to supply to Dangote Refinery.

PoliticsRe: FEC Orders NNPC To Sell Crude Oil To Dangote, Other Refineries In Naira by TheAlchemist: 6:27am On Jul 30, 2024
Uranium222:
It is not enough, let NNPC supply the 15 cargos which is the full capacity of dangote refinery. How can we be an oil producing nation and not be able to supply full capacity of an internal refinery?
Stop selling any atom of our crude to any foreign country, let the masses enjoy the full benefits of the nation.
Why did Dangote with zero experience in the oil and gas industry build such a gigantic refinery, the answer is simply to kill any form of local competition.
PoliticsRe: FEC Orders NNPC To Sell Crude Oil To Dangote, Other Refineries In Naira by TheAlchemist: 5:56pm On Jul 29, 2024
Now that Dangote will pay Naira for crude supply, Nigerian get ready for a pleasant shock angry from Alhaji Dangote

PoliticsRe: Mele Kyari Ask Dangote To Name Those Behind Fuel Blending Plant In Malta by TheAlchemist: 7:03am On Jul 24, 2024
How do you expect a whole Tinubu of OandO to be receiving pms and diesel from a newbie in the oil and gas sector.

Dangote is a green horn in the oil and gas sector, he either agrees to a sharing formula with the cabal which is usually a 60:40 arrangement in the industry or watch as they turn his refinery to a push and start.
BusinessRe: Akinwumi Adesina Says This Dangote Issue Is Shocking - Otedola by TheAlchemist: 12:36pm On Jul 23, 2024
I think the problem is sharing formula. The cabal may want a sharing formula importation 60% dangote to supply 40%.. I want to believe this the crux of the matter.
BusinessRe: Dangote Refinery: We Paid Lagos State $100m For Land, FG Gave Us No Incentive by TheAlchemist: 7:43pm On Jul 21, 2024
Obviously the cabal are arm twisting the FG not to extend fuel subsidy to Dangote. This is likely the real issue.

The world of international oil politics is also govern by certain unwritten rules, Dangote is beginning to learn the bitter truth.

Codes151:
can you imagine. This is why I said one man cannot own a refinery especially when it has to do with our resources.

I blame nigeria for being so stupid.
A refinery they should have like 5 today but sentiment and tribalism didn’t let them. Due to location.

Today look at this thief.
Nigeria own 7.5%?
Na the audacity. This is fraud. This country is a mess.
Dangote has given Nigeria 7.5% and u dey vex, be grateful and thankful. If we continue to annoy Alhaji, he will simply buy the remaining 7.5% and leave the Giant of Africa with 0.0%.

PoliticsRe: Disquiet In Presidency Over Nnpc’s Non-completion Of PH Refinery, OB3 Gas Pipeli by TheAlchemist: 8:07pm On Jul 09, 2024
RhinoChest:
With these failures by NNPC?

Port Harcourt refinery should be working by now!

Also, give Dangote the required crude he needs at international rates to supply locally. The Nigerian gov won’t lose revenue doing that.

Once Dangote starts supplying all our local needs, subsidy even if brought back, it would be cheaper than what we pay to international suppliers.

The subsidy should last until CNG and solar charging spot for electric cars and lorries are installed across the country. Sun is free, the solar charging infrastructures can be installed in some filling stations, together with CNG.

The effects of subsidy removal won’t be felt if alternatives are available in mass quantity. If I bring electric cars to Nigeria, Nigerians will buy in quantity if only the charging spots are ubiquitous. Food transporters will also buy electric lorries, making the cost of food prices cheap, but how will they charge it? Diesel price volatility is partly why there is food inflation.

The President should make the energy problem a multi pronged solution. Diesel, PMS, CNG and Solar charging spot should all be available, after which you can say “to hell” to subsidy.
An effective rail system between north and south is enough to lead to massive reduction in food prices. Will the cabal in the transport and oil sector allow for the development of such rail system?

I hope you know that Dangote hates competition, so he is not lamenting over the never ending date for the completion of the ph and warrior refineries.

PoliticsRe: Dangote, Elumelu, Rewane Enlisted As Tinubu Inaugurates Economic Team by TheAlchemist: 5:55am On Jul 05, 2024
SmartPolician:
Osinbajo a lawyer. He cannot do anything.

If I ever become the president of Nigeria, I will hire an American economist as my coordinator of the economy. Give him terms of service, pay him good salary and give him targets.

Such a person won't have any vested interests and will go against evil men destroying Nigeria's economy. If he doesn't meet my expectations, I will sack him and send him back to his country.
Lovely solution, even Dangote trusts the running of critical parts of his companies to Indians, Chinese and other foreigners, he only leaves the paper pushing stuffs to Nigerians.

We talk, drop comments move on until the next ritual killings. Come again repeat the same cycle. We are all obviously confused or somewhat unknowingly complicit. Ritual killings is not only a Nigerian issue but is wide spread across Africa. Maybe there is a curse on Africans.

This has become a recurring decimal... to abolish ritual killings we must do away with all forms of traditional practice... and you will be surprised how this land will start flowing with milk and honey.

Building the biggest refinery in Africa but yet allowing lapses in safety standards is simply not good enough.

Hopeful this would serve as a wake up call for a complete review of safety protocols at the refinery.
