So Dangote built such a gigantic refinery without any plan B of how to sell his petrol. I guess he got blinded by his plan to chop fuel subsidy. Interesting times ahead. |

HydraFeeds: Lagos can handle fire outbreak efficiently .
Lagos is a site for great projects like thermal stations and refinery and since Lagos has a lot of resources,it can handle nuclear reactors as well .
In life ,there's no perfection and designers always forgo bugs that have minimal effects on the products. Lagos is already choked up... The nuclear reactor can be sited in the East. |

Career › Re: Indians Taking Over Jobs In Oil And Gas’, PENGASSAN Raises Alarm by TheAlchemist: 1:38pm On Aug 24, 2024 |
santaclaws: This is because the government agencies we have don't protect our own citizens and always respect anything wrapped in white/yellow skin, even if it's rubbish... A lot of Africans are also parasiting on Nigeria's economy. A lot of Ghanaians, Cameroonians, Beninese, Nigeriens, Chadians are working in this country without papers, but our own citizens can't get away with such in their country.
A lot of Indians cannot match the knowledge and mental tenacity of Nigerians. Most of these guys don't even have degrees and the ones that do actually have lower grades. Their 1st class degree grades in India is equivalent to Nigeria's 2:1 & 2:2 in most cases, but employers don't know this. The real first class equivalent in India is Distinction, but trust some Nigerian employers and half-witted HR to be jumping up and down thinking they know it all and downgrading their own people.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just keep quiet if you don't know Indians! I have worked with Indians and I know their behavior. Indians are far more dubious than Nigerians, in fact, I would trust a fellow Nigerian twice as much as I'd trust an Indian national. Same Indians who open call centers to operate fake tech support scams in their country? A whole building can be full of Indians running international scams and collecting salaries, like it's a legit business.
As for hard work, every Nigerian is hardworking, especially if you provide them with the right environment. Did you see where it was mentioned in the article that these Indians are paid in dollars (USD) while Nigerians are paid in Naira even for low level jobs like vulcanizing? Use your head and stop accepting slavery, unless you're not a Nigerian yourself. 1st class this, 1st class that, the only 1st class, I respect are those who have the ability to think outside the box.... All this shout of 1st class this 1st class that should be muted. |

The oil and gas industry is simply following Dangote's template. The sustained success of Dangote enterprises is built on the Indians and other foreign nationals. See how Nigerians have mismanaged all the 4 refineries in the country. |

[quote author=ActiveFarms post=131543338]Thank you. I am ashamed many people do not deeply reflect over my post. If we use 20,000 acres for soya and maize production, we can produce way over 2-5 Million eggs daily and add cattles for meat and beef production. It's not like Starlink can't have vast land to explore opportunities but, rural lands should be used for agricultural developments mostly and not what they turned the bulk of US
The land given to starlink is simply a drop in the ocean... Technology that allows Nigerians to work remotely, earn good wages in dollars while living in Nigeia, think of the giant leap in E-learning, knowledge transfer, the list are endless. |

Eriokanmi: You're right. Dangote in America would've been worshipped for contributing immensely to their economy. Nigerian leaders are destiny killers. See the way they're dragging him, including the man accused of having a blending plant in Malta, cos of their selfish interest? Can you tell me just one Athlete that Afica's Richest Man Alhaji Dangote is actively sponsoring at the olympics. How many Athletes do you see wearing Dangote's company's logo at various international competitions. America can never worship Dangote.. What happened to Donald Trump would surely have happened to Dangote, if he was doing his business in America. The CBN dollar racketeering to build his refinery has been swept under the carpet. The day I watched Elion Musk shorts on youtube I was blowing away by the brilliancy of his mind, I then i ask myself do we have such Visionary Billionaires in Nigeria? Imagine setting up such a gigantic refinery without taking care of the source of your inputs. Who puts the cart before the horse...only in Nigeria. |
