CFCfan: The Algerian FA has officially lodged a protest with FIFA, concerning the eligibility of Majid Bougherra's appearance in the 2nd leg WC playoff match in Algeria.

The Burkinabes claim that having accumulated yellow cards against Mali (in the group stage), and in the 1st leg playoff, Bougherra was ineligible for the 2nd leg playoff. It would be recalled that Bougherra, ironically scored the decisive goal in the 2nd leg, which ensured that Algeria won the match by 1-0, and thus, advance to the world cup.

I believe the Algerian FA at very Organized to allow an ineligible player partake in their last world cup qualification match. Burkina Faso FA should check well so they don't fool themselves.
