aishababa:

There was no biafra before and after amalgamation. Nnamdi Azikiwe, your founding father, was a willing partner in the Nigerian project and became president after independence. Is it because of the ojukwu debacle and perceived marginalization that you want to repudiate Nigeria?

It is evident you are hardly refined or sufficiently educated to any level if the grubby slime from your mouth is anything to go by! You are not only in dire need of sound education but moral discipline on conduct and comportment in public.
Madam
Biafra existed even before britain
If you don't know this
do some proper research
PoliticsRe: Biafra Will Be Totally Different From Nigeria. Here's How! by theDEVILisHERE: 12:38am On Oct 07, 2015
abikubu:
The statement in bold is your own and not mine. How dare you put the Palestinian question into the same bigotry as ibos'? Palestine was a country until the creation of Israel and the subsequent wars, especially in 1967 which displaced millions of them. Their right to return to their country and end the Israeli occupation is the matter before the UN in the form of "Two-State solution to which overwhelming majority of UN member states ascribed to.

Before your schizophrenic wish for ibo's own country deteriorates your already intellectual feebleness further, there is no comparison between the Palestinian issue and biafra.

In your disorganised delusions you flippantly declared 'biafra has Nine States" without saying which states have signed up to join biafra or whether there is an official request pending before the Nigerian Parliament!

At this juncture, I must reiterate that leaders of old biafra had declared biafra dead or ceased to exist, yet people like you who have nothing better to do than mischief keep throwing up tribal bigotry around ibo issues as if you are the only tribe in Nigeria.

As stated, Nigeria did far better without the Ibos during the war and emerged relatively unscratched while the ibos saw hell on earth without Nigeria, just to stress the point of who is the armed robber and victim!

In short, your confused noise about building your biafra by displaying a collection of foreign pictures without exploring the wherewithal, the origins, architectural history, the wars fought, history and development of the nation state, philosophy and economy has taken your hallucinations to raving madness.

Lest you don't know, UN has no mandate to divide a sovereign country into tribal countries or even to interfere in internal domestic politics of member states as far as no one tribe is being persecuted. But then your bigotry won't let you see reason.
Mr man
Biafra existed even before Britain
So your opening analogy is already floored
As for palestaine
They occupied a land owned by an exiled isreal who where ravaged and taken into slavery by the romans
The isrealites after so much persecussion in the hands of the descendants of the romans (contemporary europeans) decided in the 1940's to return back to their original ancenstral land which resulted in conflict with the occuping palestinians (called philistines in the medivial era)
Ask your self
Are this names jerusalem, bethlahem, galilie. Palestinian names
If they are
What do they mean in arabic or what ever language the palestinians speak
Remember every name has a meaning in the language it came from

Stanley enow cannot sell if he's a Nigerian artiste doing the kind of music he's doing now

CultureRe: Igbo Men And Inter- Tribal Marriage by theDEVILisHERE:
Although I will say in general Igbo men are more restricted by their relatives/community from marring outside than Igbo women and that probably due some issues like

Cultural and bloodline preservation cause Igbo men are the very foundations for preserving the igbo societies igboness

Igbo man are out numbered by Igbo women so if they marry-out more who will igbo women marry

Mistrust issues with other ethnicities

The family/community economics is centred around them

1 thing is sure tho
If he's convinced about you he'll surely marry you regardless of where your from

There are jocular anecdotes told of the Igbo people...a couple of then I favor...if you get to a strange land and find no Igbo man therein, you Berra port or while theres war in Syra, or any other place for that matter, the Igbo man is defying all odds to do his business in the midst of it! The doggedness, tenacity, the business acumen and industrious spirit of the Igbo man..amazing..admirable!
I went through a thread of a certain nairalander whom whimsically stated her admiration for Igbo men...I smiled to myself on her newfound dedication; a thought occurred to me to get the issue of intertribal marriage to the front burner..albeit focusing on the IBO tribe..I detest generalisation in any context, but there are some perceived stereotypes which borders on some inherent truth...this brings up the question:

Why is it that some or most Igbo men no matter their love or commitment to any woman that is non-igbo will leave that same woman and must marry one of their own? ..no matter the stand of the man,the relatives,Umunna..especially if the man have sisters would subjugate the non Igbo wife of their brother and frustrate to the point of ruining the relationship of their brother to his non Igbo girlfriend or wife so that he can marry "properly" an Adaobi..on the flip side, the Igbo females have less trouble marrying non-igbo men...I understand there are Igbo men and women whom have had the liberty of choice to marry non-igbos..that given, the above stated is a fundamental issue...now will the agitation for Biafra fuel the prejudice of intertribal marriage of Igbo sons to non Igbo women? Why do the igbos kick frantically against their sons marrying non-igbo women?
What most of you have not realised is that Igbo men are actually the most married-out of both men and women in Nigeria and the whole of africa
They are the most traveled of all african men and have married from all over the world
Usa, canada, brazil, many european countries, asian countries (china, japan, vietnam, india, Taiwan, thailand etc), russia, you names it
In Africa they've married from more nationalities than any set of african men
Even in nigeria they have married from more tribes than any set of nigerian men
Hausa, fulani(this I know of), kanuri, yoruba, the middle belt tribes as well as from their close relatives in the former eastern region
It might be a small % of igbo men that do this but it doesn't change the fact that they've married-out to different people more than other of the fellow country men

I don't still see your piont! "Not the girl", was once number 1 on chart, same as "pray for me" is on charts too, chobams ft bez had several nominations in the recently announced headies award nominations, same as well as timi dakolo - wish me well, MI was number 1 on chart with - Bad Belle(hip - hop).

In africa charts, real Hip-hop songs are always number one, except now that a song (can't remb the name but vannesa mdee was featured in it) is number 1 and the song is very nice, followed by stanley enow - work hard (real hip-hop) at number 2!

Its about making good sounds and top class music no matter the genre, once its good, people would listen, you don't have to make songs to please them(your local people), make good songs and they would like it! After all these same local people listen to international songs!

So if our rapper can make good hip-hop they would sell! Its not rocket science!
My point is making songs purely on this foriegn sounds is not sustainable in this part of the world
1 or 2 songs that are purely on those genres will be fine
But to do majorly songs that are purely on those genres will not work out in your favour
The artist themselves have recognised this
I think if the hardcore fans of this genres really want more of the songs they like they should form some sort of union, organise themselves and raise funds for the artists to deliver some of those songs to them

Even if we can't do hip-hop like jay-z or kendrick lamar, sarkodie na ghana here he dey o! He does hip-hop and does it well.
If your doing music as an artist you cater 4 your local audience first before you think of others
Those artist you mentioned are not doing very well if not they will be toping the charts
America is not the only country that do music
Try listening to the different music and their various styles/ genres done in other countries (asia, europe etc) more often and you will understand what I mean

I agree, but that does not mean you should change the entire genre of music, see I like this song "yaylow ft lord v - hustle" its hip-hop even if they raped completely in pidgin! Listen to "shalala air by kid konnect" Sounds so african even with a yoruba verse but yet hip-hop.

Even the south africans I'm praising its only AKA and Da.l.e.s. Or maybe reason that I know rap in pure english the rest add zulu or rap in full zulu even cassper nyovest.

Sarkodie too raps in his local dialect.

Only phyno does hip-hop in his own songs, I was only disappointed with "o-set"
Downloaded reminisce abulm, out of how many songs? Only local rappers and baba hafusa made sense. The rest......rubbish.
You need to broaden your horiezm when it comes to music
You thinking process is too 1 dimentional
You have to first look at music 4 what it is first of all before you now understand why people make certain type of music

Why then should hiphop be different

You really don't have to spend so much to have a very good video ... The clarity of your video is based on the camera and the video editing. Beyonce has used an iphone to shoot a video before and the quality was awesome so you really have no reason to say you need as much as millions to shoot a good video ... Companies like Avid Group have done a couple of videos for upcoming acts at a very cheap rate and the quality has been nothing but spotless. to get to Avid Group mail them at AvidGroupWorldwide@gmail.com ...
Yea that's true
A good camera , good concept and good editing are the major things you need

Happy independence everyone.

So nigeria has many good rappers infact we are number 1 in africa, punchlines, wordplay, metaphors, flow, we gat them all, but there a clear difference between Hip-hop and a song you just rap on. Many rappers think if you rap on the song it becomes Hip-Hop, NO! For example Pit Bull is an american rapper but his genre of music is Pop. Some Nigerians have even created the name Afro-Hip-Hop whereas I don't think there is anything like that, is either you make afro pop or you make hip-hop, but must nigerian rapper especially now a days make and rap on afro pop more, the are all looking for party bangers mean while as a Rapper that makes hip-hop Party songs should be out of your way. I'm not saying is bad to do Afro Pop, I mean if you have the skills to do them, while not? But do not sacrifice Hip-hop because of it or rather just sing on them like other afro pop artist, after all the biggest afro pop songs are sang on. But my honest advice no nigerian rappers is if you doing hip-hop please focus on it alone, because if you try your hands on afro beat you would never make bigger songs than even skales(which in my opinion is an afro beat artist that can do some rhyming).

You Think Nigerians don't like hip-hop? That's the lie they tell every artist, infact majority of nigerians listen to hip-hop when its good, yes majority. You can try this little survey and ask people on you BBM/Whatsapp list which genre they listen to and you would see the results. So if they listen to hip-hop it means you can make hit songs ot of hip-hop, yes you can. Bad Belle was a hit song, but sadly the only Hip-hop hit song that came out from nigeria within the last 2-3 years, not because other hip-hop songs could not make it, but because they were no other hip-hop songs, sadly even MI gave more afro pop on his album and I'm sure he would be surprise that it was the hip-hop track that turned out to be the Biggest track on the Album.
King-Kong was close to what should hav been called a Hit song, but the song did not really hit like that. Yung 6ix - Doinz, hotyce - Kilofoshi, Ill -bliss - Bank alert, phyno - asai amongst others, as you can see these songs where popular to some extent, but did not really hit that mark, the reason is because all these songs where done by different nigeria rappers who once in a while. Their head correct small say make them make hip-hop, they lack consistency and in seconds would jump back to afro beat, now imagine aall these songs listed above was droped by one person..... All would had been hit songs, and it is possible for a rapper to sit down and make good hip-hop sounds like this continuously, but they just won't.

Even davido did an Hip-Hop song(fans mi) and it was bigger
than all nigerian rappers song. Forget meek mill, its not today nigerian started featuring american artist, some of they songs never became hit song.

And some times they will and shoot no video for it, then shoot video for their afro pop song? Example MI(sadly, its very sad to me cos I took him as a role model and my best rapper) shoot the video(which was poor BTW) for Bullion Van was NO NO NO, I mean there is Millionaire champagne, there is human being, their is Third Mainland Bridge, their is Back from the future, why shoot video(promote) for Bullion Van?

But the case is different in the rest of africa, and for years upon years the biggest songs in africa are Hip-Hop songs, south africa is a county where their top ten chart is most times 100% Hip-Hop this is something nigeria rappers can't do for only God knows why....

Stanley enow. Cameroon rapper/Hip-Hop artist drop an album and made charts 3 times and still counting with hip-hop songs 1. Njama njama cow ft sarkodie 2. King Kong ft dj neptune 3. Work hard. And he is a very poor rapper with terrible voice. You can imagine. They play his songs here in nigeria more than nigerian hip hop songs.

Caspper Nyovest. Even here in nigeria everbody knew and could sing shebeleza doc doc shebeleza, all the way from south africa, pack channel o awards like say na water, even my aunty where no no anything was singing shebeleza after watching the awards, MAMA best Hip-Hop artist award winner, droped an abulm and shot about 6 videos which peak charts simultaneously, all hip-hop. 1. Gusheshe 2. Doc shebelaza 3. Doc shebelaza remix ft talib kweli 4. I hope you bought it 5. Phumakim 6. Ghetto 7. Tsilib , all sick Hip-hop tacks, One Abulm! Why Naija no fit do this kind thing ehn? He is a very good rapper no doubts, but nigeria have very good rappers too! Why can't we win that MAMAs?

Sarkodie. This one una know. He still does real hip-hop upon his success unlike some people like MI

A.K.A. The guy came to Nigeria and was felling like the biggest star in the country, na Hip-hop bring am to that level o! His song "all eyes on me" was the opening song performed at the MAMAs and later grabed an award, songs like Congratulations, Run Jozi, where even big songs here in Nigeria.

So Nigeria Rappers, I Take God Beg una, I'm part of you guys too, Let us Dedicate our time and Money And effort, amd make good hip-hop songs! Leave afro beat for afro beat artist! They won't leave afro beat and do hip-hop! Abeg! Ehn!

Producers too have a role to play. Only few producers now like Kid Konnect actually make time out to create hip-hop, even MI is now using Sarz on shekpe. Kid konnect had to make beats and force feature rappers to rap on them. Songs like shalala air, Badagry, 4 horse men, Dictator Rap. All good Hip-Hop songs.

Me, I'm just saying my mind.
I love Hip-Hop and its Sad to see my country does not make them so I've too look out side to find them.
Thanks.
Rap music is indegenous to African americans
For you a local artist to impact on your locality with a foriegn style of music you need to add your own local spin to it (both in words and in sound)
Case in point the corrent reigning Patwa (reggae/dancehall) artists in the country (Patoranking, Cynthia Morgan, Burna etc) do not speak pure Patwa or do not use pure Patwa sound but are impacting more than those before them (with exception to the 80's/90's reggae artists) cause of their ability to add some local twist to the original sound and language
You do the music 4 the people not 4 yourself or your friends
You have something to offer
The people have what they like/want
Find a point where what you offer meets with what the people like/want and deliver your goods

Read the statement personally signed by him below…

“These cowardly attacks expose the real faces of the planners and perpetrators of these crimes.

What quarrel do they have with the good people of Nyanya motor park? What issue do they have with innocent people in market places in Maiduguri, Yola and Kuje? It is clear this battle is not ideological.

It is between the forces of peace and order and the evil forces of murder and destruction”, he said.

He said the security agents including the police and army have been instructed to be extra vigilant in this time.

He sympathized with the families of all the victims that died in the attacks.
