Uniben4sure: Nne, you got my post wrong. I know that the great Igbo nation are no less than any tribe in Nigeria. I also know that the Yoruba nation equally are a force to reckon with. My dear, so long as we are still in Nigeria we need each other. Until we resolve to go our separate ways, we can't deny the fact that we need each other. And since majority of Igbo elites seem not interested in working towards separation but would rather join forces with Nigerian government to frustrate the efforts of those working towards it, is it not better we sue for peace? I think it is. Your problem is that you are still looking at things through the eyes of the demonic British created fraud called Nigeria When you get to understand that the Fraudulent creation called Nigeria should be destroyed and victims of this fraud be set free only then will you see that the points in your writeup are really not the issue |

Uniben4sure: Sometimes when I am tempted to engage my Yoruba brethren in tribal e-war, I pause to think about the quality Yoruba men and women who have impacted my life positively. I can count at least five yorubas who have made more impacts in my life than even my own tribesmen.
I am equally sure that many of my Yoruba brethren who are honest enough can attest to the fact that they have been positively impacted in one way or the other by Igbo's .
If the foregoing statements are factual, and if the majority of the two tribes adhere to the Christian faith, why then do we find it difficult to forgive each other's shortcomings? Why have the Igbo's refused to forgive the Yoruba's for the roles SOME of them played in the civil war, and why would the Yoruba's chose to attack Igbo's living in their lands because of the political choices made by SOME Igbo's or because of the comments of a microscopic few Igbo's on social media?
It is unfortunate that most of these tribal attacks have been aided and abetted by our elders and even traditional rulers who ordinarily should be in the forefront of redirecting the young ones towards the path of peaceful coexistence.
For those those of you who like to beat the drums of war, let me inform you that wars are no friends to any side as both sides are left to count losses at the end. Besides, let's not forget that we already have our lovely daughters and sisters who are married to both sides. Think about what will become of them in the event of tribal war.
I am writing this piece to make a passionate appeal to both sides to call themselves to order. All these tribal scuffles should stop. Let us apply common sense and let peace reign between the two tribes. Some people up north are taking advantage of our inability to unite to perpetuate themselves in power, yet we have refused to put aside our differences and work together.
Please, this thread is not for another tribal e-war, but for us to have a sober reflection and make amends in the way we relate with each other.
Let him who has ears hear.
Thank you for reading. You should be more concerned of how both parties can find a way to be in their own seperate space Their own seperate nation It is foolish to continue living within the same space with someone you are not related to who you are constantly at loggerheads with |

Jenny1010: The Igbo people of Eastern Nigeria are an enterprising ethnic group, and are noted for their rich culture and traditions, high business acumen and industrious savvy. In Nigeria they dominate the commercial hub running upwards of thirty five percent (35%) of small business enterprise in the country. It is common to get invited to an igbo traditional marriage (Igbankwu) and certainly worth witnessing one.
www.igboguide.org/HT-chapter11.htm Tho missing some important info (pre-wedding activities) still a good writeup But Is it not about time people start focusing on other smaller and lesser known tribes within and outside the country Most people don't get to know much about them |

Babalegba: I think the solution is very simple. Ibos should respect the customs of the people they are living with and behave responsibly. If you are going to live with a people for more than ten years then wisdom dictates that you get familiar with their customs. I read on this forum about an elected Lagos ibo assembly member who objected to the proceedings being in yoruba. If he cannot speak Yoruba then why is he there in the first place. In short I think Nigeria is better as one in a symbiotic relationship but Nigerians have to respect the host wherever they go. Nigeria should be bisbanded It should not exist It is an EViL british creation ment for peppetual neo-colonialistic slavery The earlier the victims of the evil contrapment do this the better for them |

Explorers: Remember the dinosaurs? Once the dominant species on our planet, now just a blip on the enormous time scale of the Earth. The way they were wiped out is widely debated, but the fact is that they were and what makes humans any different? Threats loom over us every day, threatening our very existence. Hundreds of Hollywood blockbusters have shown us the potential threats to humankind, from the silly to the serious. We’ll be filtering out the most realistic possibilities which could spell the end for humanity. It might seem implausible right now, but even scientists have a ‘Doomsday Clock’ rapidly ticking towards midnight, and guess what happens when that clock hits 12? This clock has been ticking away since 1947 and the time is changed when experts on ‘Eschatology’ the study of the potential ending of the world or the ultimate fate of humankind believe the world is edging towards the brink, be it because of nuclear tensions between countries or climate change slowly destroying the world and our habitat. Hundreds upon hundreds of people have attempted to predict the end of the world, the first being 66 CE but we’re still here. Reasons for the impending doom of all life has ranged from the return of Christ to the Hadron Collider supposedly being able to turn the entire planet into a black hole. The Mayans had a whole calendar which supposedly predicted the end of the world, ending at precisely 11:11pm on 21 December 2012, another failed prediction to add to the list. But the following are current predictions that might actually pose real and imminent threats to the future of mankind.

saintopus: This is the staggering truth that most Blacks are unwilling to accept. The few White-minded blacks are too microscopically insignificant to create the much needed breakthrough. Africa and blacks are where we are today because of long standing poor mental habits leading to poor choices. They are everywhere from religion to science up to leadership. The story is the same. Take a closer look at leadership and politics. The most outstanding African leader was Nelson Mandela. After that great soul how many have came out of Africa? None!! Nelson Mandela is not an exemption I actually consider him a very big fool Only a fool starts a movement to liberate his people from oppressors only to latter go into an agreement with the same unrepentant and unremorseful opperessor You went to jail for a reason You came out from jail and went the opposite direction from what you went to jail in the first place for Your 20+yrs in prison was nothing but a total waste This behaviour typifies the present day black man and the black society Lack of perseverance, lack of mental toughness, lack of honour and most importantly lack of SHAME |
