To be fair to govt I don't think electricity subsidy is totally cut off. And the electricity investors want higher electricity rates. South Africa has more electricity than Nigeria but they pay higher. Average electricity cost per KWh in SA is $0.175 according to chatgpt., higher than Nigeria. I don't think most Nigerians can afford 24hrs electricity yet. Many people till now are not paying for electricity. They find a way to by-pass billing. We need to raise disposable income, I think.
