meobizy: How did Rico fail the cooking strategy yet Whitemoney perfected it despite being less entertaining?
It’s not by who talks the most on the first night. Remember Saskay was vocal on the first night, how did that turn out in the long run? Cee C was quiet for a full week until she got comfortable and her real demeanor surfaced.
The blame regarding boredom should be shared among the producers and certain housemates. There were many times the production team didn’t care to engage the contestants in any way possible; the boredom rubbed off on us. A handful of entertaining housemates can’t carry the show. They will lose steam eventually. This season doesn’t seem any different because the show is already running on a profit. If you like knack head for wall, Kayode’s bank account is swollen and will swell even more as weeks continue. The housemates have played the get-to-know-me game yet the production team, devoid of ideas, will force them to play it this week in addition to the what-I-like-about-you game.
I’m sitting this season out. Start another BBMzansi. That show had life and diversity. You don draw conclusions already set the show no go dey interesting?Well ,let them just play the game and we'll see how it goes. |

peacettw: Did anyone see the squid game symbols? If Big brother is trying to enact the film to some degree, then I think these will be their next move 1. The new housemates coming in this evening will be in a different house... It kinda makes sense since the space is already quite small
2. Earlier on, I complained about the colors being too dark. BB may actually want to alter their mood from the word go to make them turn on themselves.
3. I feel there are obvious clues in the house that the housemates should pick up on that will help them in the first game...the pictures on the walls and a whole bunch of items in the room which seem a bit off.
4. Me thinks the first week will be brutal just like squid game wherein the housemates will feel comfortable at first and then some game will cut their number into half.
On that note, my no 1 submission is redacted. It makes better sense that all the housemates will first be in the same uncomfortable and poorly lit space. BB will start with a game akin to the first game in the series 'Squid Game' that will lead to a tsunami of the housemates leaving the house.. The remaining housemates, our true contestants, will then be ushered to a brand new, spacious and better decorated house and then the real game will finally begin.
What do you all think? There is a bigger house downstairs I believe. The small house the housemates entered last night is the hoh room and the secret room merged. It seems the new housemates today will enter the normal bbnaija houser downstairs, and the housemates upstairs will be reduced like you said by some game, and them the remaining will be moved to the big house downstairs. If you watched Ebukas tour of the house, you will notice that he toured the big house downstairs and not this one. This one appears to he a merger of the rooms upstairs |

This show doesn't attract as much attention as football, yet that doesn't stop political discussions. The front page still get filled up with football updates and everyone enjoys it in peace. So let the fans of BBN enjoy thier show in peace. The country is already hard enough, let people relax in whatever way they like. You aren't superior to anyone for not liking the show. Do you and let others be. Very funny, like is it the only show going on at this Time? They are literally lots of shows and big programs going on on several channels at this time but because this one is hugely popular, they tend to malign it.It is not the fault of the show that it is popular and no one is forcing anyone to watch it. |

NemoDatQuod: It may not be a fabrication. Last September, one of my best friends left Nigeria and a salary of N36m with a bank and came out here with his wife and children for a masters degree. He is about completing his thesis and has no plans of going back to Naija. If you are hardworking, professionally educated and you are not a Nigerian thief, you will quickly realise how so very dangerous that country is.
Moreover, N36m is about £48K in Pounds. An individual who is a professional should be able to make at least twice that in a year, after a masters degree. Their children will go to schools that have already been paid for by the taxes taken from every citizen. They will be relatively safe compared to Nigeria. Naturally, they have had to give up some stuff to come here. The huge house in Lagos and the camaraderie between friends and neighbours in Nigeria which they may not be able to replicate here. But at least they will still be alive and their children will have a chance at life, meaningful life where if you work hard, you can become the best you can be. And you don't have to become a Nigerian thief to be successful. I tell you |

babzo: This story is really inaccurate.
Neither of these two guys were accused of stealing or fraud, but rather not stopping fraudsters? But why has the same system not sent the CEO of Western Union and Moneygram to jail?
Why jail them? Why not fines? Do bank owners or managers get jailed because fraudsters keep money in their banks?.why havnt the managers of Western Union and Moneygram being jailed since all these years?
The story is 100% wrong. Neither of these two men stole any money. I know many grateful Nigerians who used Ping Express to support their loved ones in Nigeria to the anger of the Big 2 ( Western Union and Moneygram). How can you jail a bank MD because fraudsters have accounts with the bank? Something is seriously wrong here. Why have the MDs of Western Union and Moneygram not been jailed for all the billions fraudsters have sent through their companies? Oh I forgot those are not immigrant owned businesses. Worst case they will be given a fine. Or maybe it's because they are "small boys"
All the people who used Ping Express never gave a dime in cash to the company, they sent the money using their bank debit cards. So why have the managers of the banks from where the money came from not being charged?
People will think this is $167 million cash somewhere. No $167 million anywhere. That's the total of funds they legitimately sent on behalf of people.
$50, $100, $200 here and there from 30,000 customers over 5 years. I myself sometimes sent $15 and sometimes $300 or more.
The allegations is on the $1 million + sent by a Fraudster, Collins over a 3 year period. If Ping Express had not verified their customers properly; how would they have been able to track the Collins guy? But Ping did proper verification for all customers.
But the banks where the monies came from to Ping Express are not being questioned. This is a company I used for years and people came to know.
They followed every rule.
I know the stress I went through to get verified before using their services; license, phone call etc, things I never had to do with Western Union.
They are not accused of fraud, but rather not stopping fraudsters. Then why jail time? To kill their business finally?
When will the CEO of Moneygram and Western Union that Yahoo Boys have been using for over 20 years to send money, be arrested and jailed? NEVER.
Western Union and Moneygram have lost probably billions in the last few Years with the arrival of companies like Ping Express that made sending money to Africa not only faster, but cheaper, direct to bank accounts and 24/7.
Western Union that used to be only available during banking hours. They changed quickly when Ping Express and the new guys positively disrupted the system.
This is really unfortunate. But the Nigerian government have banned direct transfers to banks? It's not been easy since then |

To even cap it, Yayi, a former senator and political heavyweight in Lagos has moved to Ogun and strongly behind Dapo Abiodun of APC. He alone can deliver 40% of needed vote.
Amosun that supported Akinlade in 2019 recently stepped down for Tinubu at the presidential level, meaning he's 100% loyal to APC (probably for Ministerial slot). sweetmelanin: Emotional write up but I wish you gave a balanced prospective.
Do you think Nigeria, a third world colonial contraption, wouldn't also suffer from the global economic crisis despite being largely dependent on imports & handouts from the West and China?
Of course, the West is not only crumbling under economic turmoil but is also self destructing with their perverse 'woke' ideologies - the West is surely headed for doom unless a u-turn is made drastically. It's beyond economics at this point.
Nigerians, on the other hand, do not only have a foolish habit of imitating the worst part of Western influence, but a greater evil is in the way we continuously ignore/distract ourselves from the immediate threat currently facing the country. I noticed Nigerians in Nigeria are more up to date with foreign affairs e.g. Boris Johnson's resignation, US economic issues, shootings etc.. than keeping up with the blatant and ongoing conquest mission propogated by Northern hegemony (fully hijacked by the descendants of fulani settlers) against the South & middle belt.
The daily deaths & casualties recorded Nigeria alone is worse than many war torn countries and if the status quo continues, Nigeria may become Afghanistan 2.0, fully overrun by terrorists.
First worry about how to rid ourselves of the deadly sahelian militia they have settled into our forests in the South, also worry about the sahelian 'Nigerian' military they have deployed to our states to ensure we cannot defend ourselves, because by the time they carry out that which they have been sent to do, economic downturn will be the least of worries. Don't mind him.His viewpoint is not balanced yet he is always trying to convince Nigerians to stay back.Yet he was born abroad |
Travel › Re: Why Have You Not Left Nigeria? by TheEnforcer: 12:30pm On Jul 09, 2022 |
dasparrow: I was not born in Nigeria but grew up there. I don't live in Nigeria but all my siblings and immediate family members do and they have no intentions of going anywhere because they have their careers, their properties which they own and their families there in Nigeria.
Nigerians need to understand that running away from your homeland is not always the best decision. We who are in the Americas have began stocking up on food because a food shortage is coming. Farmers are being told to get rid of their crops and livestock while farmers in places like the Netherlands are told to reduce farming by 30% to curb emissions. They are currently protesting.
The UK'S government is in shambles and Boris Johnson's cabinet members resigned on him before he decided to resign too, lol.
We Nigerians and Africans in general, need to realize that when the economic collapse begins in the West and whites can't find food to buy due to food shortages amongst other things, they will no longer tolerate Black people in their spaces and faces. What you saw Ukrainians do to Africans that wanted to leave their country at the start of the Russian - Ukraine war is child's play to what Africans will face abroad in the not so distant future.
Anybody who is still looking to japa with all that is currently going on in the world is out of their minds.
Africans just never learn. It is because you don't want to fix your country, that is the reason why an increasing number of foreign missions in Nigeria are making it so difficult for Nigerians to get a visa.
No country wants liability. Nigeria is your homeland and a time is fast approaching when our presence in the West and elsewhere will not be welcomed. Once the citizens of the countries will love running to are no longer comfortable, they will begin to show hostility and aggression towards foreigners even if said foreigners have their "papers."
We better fix our homeland before it's too late. A word is enough for the wise. You are Always anti people moving abroad.Yet you were born abroad. Look let people decide what is good enough .your reasons aren't even cogent enough. You are talking about food shortages and that people will turn on Africans in the US?Just listen to yourself. Look ,People will always immigrate from one country to another for different reasons. It isn't your job to be telling anyone to stay back saying they won't do well elsewhere. If you wanna live in Nigeria,go and reside there and enjoy your life and let others live wherever they deem fit.Eveeyone is responsible for their own decisions |
