Hi, we can't be sure you've been placed in a batch o. You need to confirm if your application has reached PENCOM in Abuja, if it has they'll tell you your batch.

PENCOM can be reached via 094603930.

About a certain amount being remitted to PENCOM, I've not heard that before. I wasn't told

exactly brother. As much as the deceased was employed before 2004, definitely such civil/public servant already made some contributions prior to aforementioned year thereby entitled to Accrued rights


Contributions is only being paid first in other to cushion financial constraints faced by dependants of the deceased.

All employees who started work before 2004 are entitled to both accrued benefits and contributions, only that the latter might be paid first

Oh, really?... So does that imply that as you're placed on batch 91, when contributions reach 91 you'll be paid, and you still have to wait for accrued rights to reach 91 too?

Ermmm, I don't think the year of death really matters. It is when your application reaches PENCOM that determines the batch he'll fall under... And it's your PFA that will determine when your application reaches PENCOM...

Just spoke with them now, I gave the lady my dad's pin and she confirmed our batch as 97, also told me the last batch they paid is 84 for death benefits

Hi guys, so I was fortunate to have my call picked today and the man I spoke with made enquires on my behalf.

He said the last batch of DB they paid is 85 for contributory and 82 for accrued rights... Though I don't know the difference between the two, when I asked he didn't explain, he kept repeating it. I just thanked him and hung up....

Concerning my late dad accrued rights with PENCOM , I processed all docs with PFA & had been forwarded since June 2019.

Yet to see nothing despite contacting PFA with a response that they still awaiting directive from PENCOM- data bank. I called the above regulatory body contact to knw our batch but nt available

Please call them again, keep calling they will respond. When you call, don't choose the option that says "...for death benefits, press 2..." Because it won't go through, press "0" it will link you to their help desk, or you can press any other number from the options.

That's what I do whenever I call them and if anyone picks I tell them to put me through to death benefits department and they do.

By now you should have known your batch cos you submitted since June, even me that my PFA just sent mine last month, I spoke with pencom last week and was told I've been placed on batch 97

No one can knw when such funds is remitted except u monitor the RSA online (NOK)

I don't think so. I read that somewhere too but when I asked my late Dad's PFA they said it not so
