In a bid to keep them as customer, u pay them once they give you screenshot (which turns out to be fake when the Bitcoin never delivers)...

Some of them sell flash coins too... you rush to pay them after seeing the coin on zero or one confirmation in your wallet ... coins disappear from your wallet history totally few mins later ...

There are several other people here claiming to be traders who are ripping people of their ecurrencies on daily basis... they post bogus and lengthy adverts without any identity... they are not traceable anywhere and have no reputation or identity to protect... Most times just a WhatsApp number without a face to it and no other number or social media linked to the trading number.

First, we both don't know anything, so let's not assume. The money could be from and for anything, including kidnapping ransom or fraud!

The opportunity to accept to pay back after spending a money erroneously sent to one's account without being charged for a crime is only afforded to "business (company) account"! For a personal account, once the money is spent as of the time the account is flagged, you have committed a crime! You can be arrested, charged to court, and go to prison for it even if you bring back all the money and ready to refund every penny at this time.

Let me even blow your mind on why a personal account is dangerous for running a business:

Let's say you supplied some products to a customer, and he transfers money to your account via a stolen phone or whatever (the point is that he pays you from an account s/he illegally gained access to). When the owner of the account traces the missing funds to your account and flags your account, you can be charged for a crime Once You Have Spent That Money As Of The Time Your Account Was Flagged. It doesn't matter that it's a payment for the products you supplied! Nobody will listen to you! The system automatically designates you a criminal once a fraudulent money is traced to your Personal Account and you have spent it! A lot of naive "innocent people" are in prison for this. If it's a business account, you can explain your way out and pay back the money without going to prison!

So, here's the rule:

"For a personal account, thou shalt not touch any money coming from an account thou knowest not!"

This is how your system works. As a law abiding citizen, you must understand your system and protect yourself from the system; if not, you'll pay for your naivety. A lot of the people charged for certain financial crimes are innocent, but they're paying for their naivety! Ignorance of the law is never an excuse!

I understand you’re point but let me also blow your mind... I’ve had a case almost similar to this before ...

A guy paid me from a joint acct he runs with his sister who’s in the US for some usd which I was to supply him ... unknown to me, he was having issues with his sister and his sister didn’t know abt the transfer ... his sister flagged the transaction about 4 months later and my acct (personal acct) was out on hold ...

I went to the bank and met with my acct manager and he cldnt explain what happened but I pressed him till he was able to get all those info abt what happened...

If the law was ABC as u stated above, immediately my acct was flagged as recipient of fraudulent payment in an unauthorized transfer, police shld have been waiting to arrest me at the bank ...

I simply told my acct manager eventually that I will transfer some funds into the said acct of mine to make up the amount i received and they Shld rather put the amount on hold and not my whole acct and that was it...

The amount was held while my acct was free ... they eventually freed the money to me when the guy resolved the issue with his sister and the sister gave the order for her bank to release my money ...

There are things that are not clear cut in a letter system and only requires us to apply wisdom in handling

Like I said, running a business with a personal account can put you in this kind of risk. Your "expecting money" story cannot work for a personal account as far as the law is concerned, even if in reality that is what happened!

You don’t get the point... in this case, the recipient of the money has committed no crime ... when all boils down, she will add what she spent from it and tell bank to reverse it ...

We both know the funds came from politicians and bankers trying to move govt money or probably from an Acct of a dead person without Next of kin ... in such case, as the recipient has refused to send the money to the new acct provided, they dare not involve the law ... they will def let the money go eventually ... that’s the point

If you “claim” you were expecting money when you weren’t that in itself is fraudulent ,your conscience should rule and not wait for the bank to prove the source.

If you keep any money wrongly credited to your account this could lead to you being charged with retaining wrongful credit' under the Theft Act 1968. You would be guilty of an offence if a wrongful credit is made to your account and You know the credit has been made incorrectly and don't take steps immediately to cancel the credit and start to spend it instead.

I put it to you that if the bank had not frozen that account and the dodgy phonemail had not come they will spend that money one time.This is now coming to light only because they have been found out and afraid.

We all cry the government is corrupt and Nigeria is not doing well but we in the grass root contribute as well.

In the end Honesty is always the best policy.This is just my opinion and you will have others that share yours.

Lol. First, you have to have been receiving that amount of money before for your claim to be credible. Secondly, the law usually doesn't even favour the common man in the first place. So you acting as if you are in a Utopia is funny. Thirdly, by the time you are in jail if the people you took the money from are dangerous people, they will make sure your loved ones have no rest. What you stated is plausible only if the account is a company account that has huge cash flow.

You can't make this claim with a personal account, which is why it's very dangerous to do business with a personal account in Nigeria.

You need to understand the system you live in!

I have personal accts with such inflow and outflow cos I run other businesses with my personal acct which can’t be run with my company Acct cos of different names of business...

Whatever the case might be, anyone can be expecting a million naira anytime ... cld be pension or some type of benefits or from family and associates ...

If the bank can prove the source of the money not to be from my business partners, then all they will make me do is return the pet I have spent and not criminalize me ...

Now this is what really happened...

Some group of people in government have used your mums acct and some other accts to cash out from government’s money by spreading multiples of such money to known and unknown accts ... they have insider bankers who run the job for them.

They will then contact each person to transfer the money to other accts they can easily take out the money from...

Don’t send the money to them... tell them you will wait till your bank wish to process a reversal to wherever the money came from initially ...

If you’re not greedy, you don’t need your body to dey pepper you to the point of wanting the remaining 2 million
