Rufai be calming down. You are not the only one that knows people in power.
If you are both as close as you claim you won't be hustling to greet him and be seen with him in public. You can always see him another time more private.

What kind of imbecilic reasoning is this? So because of what imbeciles would say, I should not greet someone I know in public?

Ikenna, Did u even read the report?

This isnt Alaba market 2+2 economics

One doesn’t need to read the report to know that the government is confused.

Claiming they have removed subsidy yet still paying subdsidy, yet still denying that they have been paying subsidy.

If that is not confused and confusing , then I don’t know what is.

A: Try to revive the Baby or get the attention of a senior colleague to help revive the baby

Or

B: Start rolling on the floor to thank God that you will not be blamed for the baby’s death.

the pali is torn o , i wont be surprised if he comes out to say that his passport was stolen at their hotel or that he lost it when going somewhere .

And what about the pieces of @ passport that were on the floor? Were those lost too?

Was it picked by Him or immigration? Where are the pieces, wether fake or real?

Please, Don’t tell me you threw them away, wether you are the Man or immigration.

The people there begging him to calm down, did they not see that it was a fake passport? Did they not check to see how much damage the woman caused , so they can gossip about it on social media?

Are you beginning to see how unsmart the claims and actions are?

i won't be surprised if immigration officials tutored him, but to me his response is okay. The only way to help his wife out of the problem is to tell people that they were just acting it, that it wasn't real. if he claims the incidence is real , the woman will go to court oo and it wont help the man matter at all

I get your reasoning, and it makes logical sense.

All I would ask is for Him to present His untorn passport, immediately. And compare the travel stamps with that of His Wife and Kids. (Except, of course, He is working with the immigration people, as you alluded)

Smart man , he quickly made a u turn , he needs the wife if he really wants to go back to Europe, the best way to do that is to make the woman happy , get a new passport, and start been a nice supportive husband. In public eyes ,so that his wife won't be jailed .

He may be smart with His intention, but He is not so smart with His reactions/explanations.

She is Actually trying to give a reason for such an unreasonably foolish and possibly criminal action, in public.

She did not even have the courtesy to apologize to all that she had offended and hurt by her actions.

Even her kids may be mocked by their friends.

Why did she not tear he passport at home?

And who says he cannot get another he passport ?

Nigeria is a SHITHOLE with NO redeeming feature.

Even the MOST patriotric Nigerian will NOT be able to point to ONE good thing about Nigeria.

In Nigeria, NOTHING works!

Corruption is the BIGGEST and FASTEST developing sector in Nigeria and it's not even close.

Just yesterday, the Nigerian Team lost to a WHOLE Team USA in Basketball with 74 points to their 88.

I was shocked!

Basketball is a BIG sport in USA. Probably the biggest after football. And NOBODY can deny the fact that they have the BEST of the best equipment.

I expected the Nigerian Team to be completely DESTROYED. Yet the fought a good fight.

The point is Nigeria has EXCESS talents!

But the system and the people at the top are WICKED and OPPRESSIVE. There are people in power actively WORKING against the masses to ensure POVERTY, PENURY, SUFFERING and STARVATION and BACKWARDNESS remain the norm INDEFINITELY.

Every SENSIBLE Nigerian should be working hard to JAPA. Even if it's to Ghana.

“ Nigeria is a SHITHOLE with NO redeeming feature.”

Yet

“ The point is Nigeria has EXCESS talents!” (which is one redeeming feature)

Japa to where? Which part of the world is making sense To you right now? You are even mentioning Ghana that is fast becoming like Nigeria on some negative indices.

Postpone FEC meeting where you should be discussing practical solutions to addressing the demands of protesters to have Service Chiefs meeting, where you can strategize on how to silence protesters.
Politics / Re: Protests: DSS Arrests Tailor Mass-producing Russian Flags by TheGift: 4:20pm On Aug 05
nairalanda1:
In other words, they want Putin to remove tinubu from power, and replace it with a russian aligned government

To be honest, it would be good to get rid of this current government, but it won't get rid of our debt, our resource dependent economy, corruption, strife, and crisis. Nothing would change.

Nigeria is in trobule because at independence, the economic model we chose was sell raw materials to everyone, and share the revenue equitably. Well, since the 1970's, the population growth has outstripped the ability of the revenue to cover for it. We saw the first signs in 1976 when the government could not sustain free primary education for everyone despite having oil money income in record amounts. And there have been other signs too.

We need a government, and I don't care if it is backed by Russia, IRAN, china, USA, or whoever...that would take us from a resource dependent state to a nation that has a wide tax base and uses its resources to make products for the world market. That is how countries like China, and Japan and so on are able to stand on their two feet.

But we won't do it. We lurch from one bad government to the other, a governments of stomach infrastructure. GEJ supporters boast about Sure P, Buhari and tinubu supporters boast about their own Trader Moni projects and student loans. We boast about how army built a lot of infrastructure, forgetting that those infrastructure have deteriorated because there is not enough money to repair them..because not enough tax. We pretend we are rich, and use loans to cover up our asses. We are running a government that wants to share money, that wants to maintain wasteful subsides, and we have an oppositon that is the same.

And we keep on getting poor. IN 1965, Nigerians were suffering. TOday we are suffering. Yet we do not want to face the root of our suffering...which is our collective failure to develop an industrial socieity that exports. We want cheap money and subsidiszed fuel ona financial base that has been shaky since the 1970's...we used oil to hide the cracks.

Maybe we should just continue...or maybe, our government should stop sharing money, fight corruption, and wake up to its responsibilites, and people should stop wishing for Easy street. There is no free pot of gold anywhere. No free money, and subsidy is not sustainable anymore. Not on a budget of 30 trillion...which is the money needed in one year to make progress in fixing NIgeria's power sector to a point where it can power every house and factory in the country.

Nation building is not easy.

But all we do here is shout agbado and obidient, abuse each other';s tribe., call Igbos evil, call Yorubas evil, call Hausa Aboki, and fulanis murderers. We don't want to solve the problems we have together. We just want to get our side into power so that we can chop money

And if you propose any sane economic thing...either you are obuidiot or agbado.

Anyway, make we dey continue. When we are ready to be serious, call me.

Last post.!

Please keep posting ooo. We have very few voices of reason left. Everyone is only thinking based on right or left. No.more objective reasoning .

Government empowering a billionaire elite in my books means collaborating in business engagements in other to create employment opportunities for the masses. If the government does not empowered him with providing him with such business license and maybe some other incentives, will the cement production plant come into fruition? Wouldn't this help diversify dangote's strong hold in the cement business?

If we have 30 billionaires with 30 cement production plants within the nation, imagine what that will do to the price of cement and block?
