ikorodureporta:
Despite the jappa tide flowing allover, there are some people who don't have jappa in their agenda even though they are not doing well...
Some reasons may include weather, culture, food, caring for loved ones here, lack of strict laws here, etc.
They've decided to remain in their "comfort zone"...

Are you one of dem

Because the condition does not determine my orientation

Because the entire world is going through various crisis conditions

Because In every challenging condition , solution minded entrepreneurs like me only see opportunity

Because I don’t want to be a second or third class citizen in my resident country.

Because Dangote and Elumelu with all their money have not Japa’d.

I can go on and on

[quote author=Nonexisting post=128494908 Poor people are very myopic….. Why someone will rent a house and upgrade it when he should be thinking of building his own is something I still can't figure. [/quote]

Do you think those rich people did not also rent and upgrade houses before they built their own?

Will you not stay somewhere while building your own house?

Who says you can’t upgrade the house you are renting while building your own house.

What if it is cheaper to rent a house in the place where you prefer to live with your family, than to build or buy one there at the moment.

What if the house you are renting is facilitating your capacity to create wealth?

What if you own houses where people are paying rent, while renting in a preferred place?

There are many reasonable reasons why people may do this.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Greece, First Orthodox Christian Country To Legalise Same-sex Marriage by TheGift: 2:33pm On Feb 16

This thing will be legalized one day in Nigeria and life will continue as usual. It’s only on the pages or Nairaland, nowhere in the real world that one will see continued hatred towards the LGBTQ community. Users here type their opinions from the comfort of their rooms. They are afraid to broadcast them anywhere else, especially within earshot of fellow human beings.

Nowhere in the real world will see continued hatred towards LGBTQRSTUVW? Only on Nairaland? Says who? Have they finished with the hatred in the countries that have legalized it, especially in the US?

Just read the comments on lgbtqrstu related posts on YouTube and the like, and you will know that same sexers still have a long way to go before widespread acceptance.

Just say that is what you wish for.

Meanwhile, are you a homosexual?

There’s is no such thing as a “Christian country”, talk less of a Christian country that legalizes same sex marriage.

Belief in Christ is an individual thing and not a communal one.

The Christian scripture is clear that marriage is between a Man and a Woman. And it describes same sex sexual relations as unnatural and abominable.

Just4000:
Men are going through a lot. Many are passing through things like this on a daily bases and they simply bottle up or let go.

He can actually seek for and obtain redress in court, if he have evidence that he trained her with intention to marry and there was no evidence of domestic or other form of violence against him. There are cases like that both by the man and even the lady that got a favourable judgement. Like the popular case of Natasha Akpoti vs Emmanuel Uduagha and lot more. Even without written agreement he can still win the case and obtain compensation or lady risk going to jail.

Men are only going through what they allow themselves go through. And that is mostly due to their ego and inability to thus let it go.

Be careful about promoting going to fight publicly in court of law though.

Letting go is more for your sake and your mental/emotional health ,?than about your pride and ego.

A woman ditches her sponsor for a new love, but her ex storms the church during the televised wedding, shouting, "Oga pastor, I took her from the village, I trained her, it will not happen!" Ushers quickly intervene, halting the vows. Shocked viewers left wondering what's next.

This experience can be so painful.

Was He training Her to train Her?
Was He training Her to marry Her? Or was He training Her because He was legally married to Her?

Now that due to Her training, She has trained Her sights on some one else, shouldn’t He be grateful or at least accepting of the results of His training?

If He truly loves Her, then He should let Her go.

One random person? You obviously joined Nairaland well after Peter Obi defeated APC in Lagos State.

And the people that went to Alausa to climb pole to sing National anthem, which is their wont by the way, that is also one random person àbi?

I don't even care about anyone calling Lagos no man's land, it's your pretence that it is only a few people from "a certain place" that do it that I am challenging.

“Pretense” Who are you , that you think I would feel the need to pretend to you?

You obidient strive in vain to be held accountable for all sort of lunacy n foolishness you display online but nobody is fooled.

Some who might not be obidient may have joined in the foolishness but my address goes to the hoard of fools insulting the Eagles on TundeEdnut post n they are 99.999999% obidient

Obviously Tunde Ednut as well as Peter Obi are living rent free in your head.

A coach is unable to proffer mean his team can transition ball from goal keeper to attacker for a while 90 minutes n some foolish Nigerians think a single player should be blamed for that.

In the light of the hyperinflation, How are you surviving in this economy?

By cutting down on expenses- especially fuel related expenses (fortunately my house, business and offices are in the same region)

Investing more on rechargeables and alternative power.

Buying in bulk when I can- to get good discounts and to avoid paying higher costs later.

Alway looking for and negotiating better deals.

Selling stuff I know I don’t need and will
Likely never use again.

Charging and Earning in forex when I can.

Placing funds I know I have to pay in the future e.g rent, in fixed deposits so that it at least yields something before I have to pay it.

Being tougher on waste in my house, especially waste of food

Keeping money in hard currency until I need to spend it.

Etc

My gf has just delivered a baby girl, am now a proud father, it very true that babies bring goodluck, my baby has brought grace and goodluck to me all thanks to God.

It was really hard in the begining but i pull through, secondly be mindful of your words, words are powerful, i remember having a conversation with my then gf 2 years ago about having a child, i didn't meant any of it, this was what i said that day to her "in 2024 am gonna have a child by any means" and it come to pass.

I wasn't ready, every attempt to abort didn't work out, i pray God should forgive me for trying abortion.

THE FACT (1) Word are powerful anything you said about yourself may likely come to pass. (2) every child born bring grace and blessing to the parent, everything keep working for me.

Despite being an apprentice am able to take good care of my baby and the mother.

People rarely talk about how much thinkering men go through in finding/choosing a life partner.

I'm at that point in my life and is really not an easy thing or decision.

Stop searching up and down, with your eyes darting from one damsel to another. Just pray for your own to come to you at the appointed time. Then Focus on your work, on discovering and living out your purpose. Your reason for being.

That is how I met my wife , who is virtually everything I needed in a Wife. And a most
Amazing mother any child could ask for
