It's a nonsensical and hypocritic comment.

Firstly, every religion has principles and regulations. If you're not ready to abide by them then you leave. Simple. At least, you should learn to take correction or at least take an L when your attention is called.

Secondly, people have the freedom to criticise whoever does something wrong in their opinion especially if it has to do with their common interest.

Thirdly, you're not a Muslim so what's your business with Muslim matter?

Let me answer the third part for Him. It is His business because it was the same Un-Islamic and fanatical mindset that led them to kill Deborah Samuel, who was not a Muslim.

Besides profit what else should a business owner care about?

As a business person If you really care about profit, then you must Care about other things, like the well-being of your customers, cos if your customers all drown who will patronize you?

Actors Guild has even banned all water related shoots till further notice. How does that help the profit of the boat business?

Look who is talking about Excellence, and look who He is talking about. What brand has Reno built beyond being a noise making, attention seeking, thin skinned , table shaker, who’s up for the highest bidder ?

What pedigree does he have to talk about excellence in anything , talk less of business and to a locally and internationally successful business man for that matter?

Even Reno doesn’t understand what he is talking about, hence the long epistl-ic explanation.

Reno should rest.

This is Nigeria! Infrastructural decay KILLED a young Doctor and no one faced any consequences.

Everybody is going about their lives like NOTHING happened.

This is another reason people FLEE this hellhole. In a country like US, work place hazards like these would have incited a serious of lawsuits against the government. Some to the tune of millions of Dollars for the benefit of the family of the deceased.

Paying through the nose for negligence would have motivated the government to gear up and FIX the issue.

Imagine taking OVER 8 months to fix ORDINARY elevator. If Julius Berger won't do it ASAP, take the contract to someone who will.

Every SANE person should be working to leave Nigeria.

Oga speak for yourself. Foreigners are still trooping into Nigeria to make it big. Accidents happen everywhere. A whole major bridge recently collapsed in the same US, due to the same negligence.

You say no body wants to fix the problem , so we should all run away. If we all run away, who will fix the problems?

Japa if you want to, but don’t discount the sanity of those who don’t. They may be seeing things that you obviously can’t see

PROPEACE:

If you question someone's choice to do menial jobs in their 50s, then you are implying they should comply with your mental image of an ideal career path which does not exist in real life. People that do menial jobs work for humans who appreciate and pay for it. Many of the people doing it are okay with who they are as it pays their bill. For many, it is not a final bus stop but something they are doing pending when something better comes up. I know a white lady with MSc who told me just a couple of months ago that once she is done paying her mortgage, she will retire and start taking care of people's pet and other jobs like that. She is under 40! There is nothing wrong with doing menial jobs if it is what a person wants to do. Of you find it debasing for you that's fine! Live your life and let others live theirs!

Oga, go and learn the difference between “inquiring why” and “compelling” an hypothetical person, before you argue with me.

You clearly don’t know the difference, that is why I did not read past the first 2 lines of your above comment. Waste of time

Kobojunkie:
That is nothing like Karma. What a man sows in this life is rather the decider of God's eventual Judgement against said man. God's Judgment is not promised in this life -- judgment comes after death -- whereas karma is believed to happen in this life. See the stack difference between the two? undecided

There is a difference between the last judgement and the consequences of our actions.

If you plant corn you reap corn , wether you are good or evil, that is karma. If you sleep with an infected person you catch an std, that is karma. You steal get caught and arrested that is karma. You do something evil and your conscience is troubling you, that is karma. Cause and effect.

Regarding the bolded, what gives you the right to compel others to live by your life's timetable? Some will do the menial jobs at 50 and live successful lives later on in life, some will be extremely rich in their 50s in Nigeria, but will spend about everything the have paying ransome to kidnappers and finally die of heart attack. We all have different paths in life.

Where in my comment did I imply that anyone should be compelled to live by my timetable?

I simply asked a question? Why would anyone be planing to do menial jobs in their 50s when they have spent their most productive years? Would you hire a 50 year old to do menial jobs for you when there is a younger more energetic person, that will save you time and money?

Anyway , to each his own. Enjoy your menial job.

Funny enough, Haiti is made up of mostly runaway black slaves from the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria, they make up the majority of Haitian population lipsrsealed

I hope you are not “black” cos if so everywhere you are will be riddled with chaos, violence, bloodshed, discrimination, cheating, corruption, wickedness, barbarism, backwardness and stupidity- going by your logic.

Mexico and Colombia and other South American countries dealing with same gang violence are they blacks ? The majority of mass shooters and serial killers in America, are they not white?

What is happening in Israel-Gaza or Russia-Ukraine , is it not chaos, violence bloodshed and barbarism? Or because they are white their case is different?

Stop with the racial inferiority complex, and tribalism please. It is part of what is keeping Africa from progressing as it should

if you travel legally age is not an issue. I have fellow Nigerians with over 20 years experience from Nigeria working in the same place i work in Canada. They mostly came for MBA or followed their younger wife in migrating.

The a writing Nigerian person in his 50s still has strength to hustle even if na menial jobs.

But why would anybody be thinking of doing menial jobs at the age of 50+? Why do we have such poor aspirations for ourselves?

Many people japa ing are driven by fear and not by purpose. And if you lack purpose and expression of your innate talent, then your life will be a life of mediocrity regardless of where you live.

so of what use is forgiveness?
Forgiveness is not for avoiding consequence, but for restoring the fellowship broken by Sin , the joy of salvation and sense of God’s presence.

Karma and the Christianity are two different beliefs hence God forgiving you has nothing to do with Karma as it is based on a different religious inclination

The inclinations are not different; the Bible says “ what a man sows, a man shall reap”. That is Karma, in a nut shell
Religion / Re: If God Truly Forgive Us Our Sins, What Then Is Karma? by TheGift: 12:41am On Apr 01
Karma ~ the rain falls and the sun shines in both the good and evil

Karma~ if you sow cassava, you will reap cassava, whether you are good or evil.

Karma ~ to every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Karma = consequence for actions

Forgiveness is not so much about the absence of consequence but about restoration of the joy of salvation and fellowship with God the Father

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”
