Infertility awareness week 2019
Infertility is hard and this part of the world makes it’s even harder. Infertility is still a major taboo, even in an age when people are more open about other types of medical issues. It's at the intersection of a lot of things that are all taboo on their own: sex, money, religious beliefs, family planning and medical decisions.

Infertility Awareness Week is not just about awareness for one week; it is a movement that has set out to reduce stigma and educate the public about reproductive health and issues that make building a family so difficult for so many. It’s also a movement to empower those whose lives are forever changed when they struggle to build a family. This is our time to work together as a community and boldly kick down the barriers that impact millions of people each day.

I know how hard it is when all human wisdom is summed up into WAIT and HOPE………….

But Know this,

You are not alone, we walk together!

Know how to be happy, even through this part of your journey…..it is but for a time

Nurture yourself through it……whatever you need to do to nurture yourself, DO IT

Be hopeful, when it’s raining look out for the rainbow, when it’s dark watch out for the stars

If plan A fails remember you have still have 25 letters left……get all the help you want

Whatever decision you make, don’t let world people guilt you about it…..it is your journey, you call the shots!

Please don’t let the stress overtake your life. Don’t let it break you, no matter how things get.

Fertility may have challenged us but we become stronger because of it…..

Don’t tie your sexuality to your ability to procreate or your partner to the infertility factor….support and love each other

Most importantly, in our darkest moments,our driest deserts, the most difficult hour of the journey; when we feel that God is most absent, that is when He is doing the most intimate work on our hearts and souls….Trust His process, He already said “none shall be barren in the Land” you will carry your babies (Amen)

My myomectomy procedure went well on Wednesday, I was suppossed to be discharged on Friday because I did not pass gas and no number 2, the doctor did not release me. The gas pain ..oh my God, I cried..eventually I passed some gas and did number 2 on Friday evening and I was discharged yesterday. The pain I'm going through right now is much I can't even find a good position to sleep on the bed. I hope it keeps getting better as I take a walk every day as Instructed by my doctor

It’s a BIG FAT POSITIVE!!!!
I’ve been a silent reader for about 7months now, to be candid I have learnt a lot here. I would like to say a big thank you for the assistance, support, prayers, motivation and encouragement.
One of the mamas here prayed that this month of March there will be good testimonies and I claimed it.
Everywomen here our wombs are blessed. We are all fruitful we will testify to the Lord’s glory and tell everyone that he is worthy. This year is our year let’s keep strong and continue pushing. This year is our year the devil has lost this battle already.

I just did a HSG this morning (2 hrs ago), I'm still lying down to rest.
My sister, it is painful!!! But bearable considering that the benefits far outweighs the pain. Ant it's just for about 10 minutes.
I didn't take any drugs and still haven't, but I'm fine now & no pain anymore.
You can take the drugs you were advised to take.

Hi Mama, not sure about doing HVS and HSG on the same day ......considering that HVS is to check for infections and the process of HSG could aggravate things God forbid there's anything.

I took a garlic/clove/tumeric combo during AF till the day before the HSG.

But if you are sure there are no indications of any infection, then I will say go for it but please ask if they will give you antibiotics to use after for a couple of days ( I was given capsules to use for 3 days, twice daily).....that's more important.

Good morning my people!

I intend to go for HSG tomorrow but am scared as I heard it's really painful. Only d heavy name alone gets me scared not to talk of d process. The sonographer said I would be given ibuprofen or paracetamol before d process. I also want to do HVS that same tomorrow but before HSG. Pls mamas, is it advisable to do HVS and HSG same day?

Pls, your opinion on this is urgently needed.

Hi Mama, The cramps could be from the fibroids.......most likely

Pele...... you can try a hot water bottle/castor oil massage on your lower abdomen to help relieve it since your AF is over. It helped me a couple of times because at some point I was literally in pain throughout my cycle.

What is the size of the fibroid/the position/what is your gyneaDr saying/Do you have symptoms that may be bothering your general health or disturbing your cycle, /Do you know your cycle well/ how long have you been trying?

Please share more info so mamas can help with suggestions that can assist you.

Hi Mama,I would say you should be careful with the herbs unless you are sure of the treatment he is giving you and what he will be asking you to take. It will be good if you can talk to one or two persons he has treated so you know exactly what to expect. You can try castor oil massage, black seed oil, serrapeptase for 2-3 months before you go for the hydrotubal flushing as suggested by the Dr.

The headaches and aches may be withdrawal symptoms since you have just stopped taking sugary things....The symptoms will pass please don't be tempted to take sugar. I think it should also help with the cyst.

God will grant you success and your heart desires will be yours son.

I did my test at insight opposite Ota because I use state hospital Ota,but at the hospital the doctor suggested hydrotubal flushing which I don't want to do for Now, I want to try other option please help me, a neigbour gave me one man 's number
