AfricaGalactic: If Marvel's releasing a movie in Oct (that's if its a movie and not a Disney+ series), it's most likely going to be R-rated. The fact Deadpool and Blade amongst others are now under the MCU umbrella further burtresses this. All this still doesn't demonstrate Joker being a factor here. A task you seem to be evading. They are releasing a movie in October 7th, the first week in October..same with what Joker did. All other marvel R-rated movies were not released in October until Disney saw the success from Joker in October. If all the other months were occupied they would have gone for November. It is obvious they want to tap from the October halloween R-rated success which Joker showed that it is possible. |

Raalsalghul: Okay oh.
I've heard, I just hope Shazam doesn't turn out to be another MoS. When Shazam2 is announced, you will complain that a shazam3 should have been announced since. Am surprised by your actions because you stood strong during the worse times (under synder) but now DC is making success and progress..... its as if you are not happy with the success. |

Raalsalghul: I don't blame Pu7pl3.
Shebi he just joined now that D.C is finding its feet.
I know what my eyes have seen supporting D.C.
2016 to 2017 were the toughest for us.
It was one heartbreak after the other. That was during the Synder era bro, and Pu7pl3 has been doing a good job so far in defending DC. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. You on the other hand abandoned us/the support and started complaining and complaining. |

teewhydope: it has been on the shazam wiki page since, even imdb has the date slated as 2021 but it's unrealistic due to the black adam release We have told him all these before. I don't know where he just got this complaining attitude from. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 6:56pm On Nov 17, 2019 |
AfricaGalactic: If am allowed to speculate;
Feb 2022: This is most likely GOTG 3
May 2022: BP2 has already been affixed to this date
July 2022: Great slot for a new series in the franchise. This is the summer period. Lot of kid-friendly movies released during this time
That leaves October. Marvel have DP3, Blade and a lot of others to choose from. Besides, a third Deadpool is long overdue by the way.
Again you're free to believe what you want. That leaves October and November, so why not go with November since they have released MCU films in November before? |

Raalsalghul: I've always stood for truth.
You guys are the ones carried away so much by Joker's success that you refused to question the develoment of other projects. Other projects are going on just fine. It is you that just want to complain about everything. You complained about the catwoman casting. Complained about shazam2. Complained that you want a black adam movie. Now that a black adam movie is announced, you complained again. You just picked a hobby in complaining nowadays |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 6:40pm On Nov 17, 2019 |

Spits! I hope you know black adam is an anti-hero? |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 6:39pm On Nov 17, 2019 |
Raalsalghul: Good question.
They had issues with Edward Norton who wanted a final say on the film's script.
Had Norton played ball, we won't have any Hulk sequel, but you'd still see him in other films instead of Mark Ruffalo.
It was the same way they recasted Terrence Howard: personal issues with the actor. Okay, so it is alright for the studio now to drop the actor because they had personal issues? I hope you won't come and cry here later on why "WB has not brought back Henry Cavill"? |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 6:32pm On Nov 17, 2019 |
AfricaGalactic: February, May & July (2022) have all been taken. An October release date could be a Blade remake or Deadpool 3. Hell, it could even be New Mutants. We don't know yet. I still haven't seen anything to link Joker to this decision but, oh well. You can believe what you want to believe. What stops them from releasing it in November then? They usually release their movies in nov, why October now if not for Joker and its success during the Halloween in Oct |

NeededGist: Ohh I get it now. Well you see the companies are gonna enjoy the edge CBMs are having right now. I don't think there will be a CBM fatigue. But 9 CBMs, Damn 2021 is going to be hot. Hopefully we get more R-rated movies. I feel pity for other studios that might be releasing normal movies. Those films will just get crushed by either MCU or DC films, unless they are top rated movies. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 6:23pm On Nov 17, 2019 |
AfricaGalactic: R-rated movies have a history of being released in October most of the time. With the acquisition of the Fox X-Men properties, this will be a perfect slot for Deadpool 3 as the trilogy has to be concluded obviously. Note that even this is tentative. If you choose to believe that Joker is the reason, then all i can say is "Lol. OK. Sure, mate". Deadpool 1&2 were R rated but they were never released in October. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 6:18pm On Nov 17, 2019 |
teewhydope: jeez why are u so outdated. this is a standalone black adam film, his origi story, before billy's existence. why would you expect shazam to be there? i already read some months back that black adam and shazam won't meet until the third film. It is obvious his just wanna troll now. It's a shame that Ra's has fallen Even if they announce that Shazam 2 is getting made next year and the shazam family will met black adam, he will still look for something to complain about. |

Raalsalghul: Even when the Hulk film flopped in 2008, Marvel/Disney didn't get rid of the character onscreen, they kept on featuring the character in other installments.
This shows how much faith they have in their characters. So why did they re-cast the Hulk character back then after the hulk film flopped? |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 6:10pm On Nov 17, 2019 |
AfricaGalactic: Nice scan. Still can't see the relationship with the Joker though. Marvel has never slated any MCU film in October for the 10-11years that the MCU was formed. After Joker success, they announced a date in October 2022 (7th Oct to be precise) for an unnamed MCU film. If you can't see the relationship, then it aint my fault. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 6:01pm On Nov 17, 2019 |
AfricaGalactic: Nobody knows the reason for Marvel's decision. At best your assertion is just guesswork. You guys should learn to celebrate your W without pulling Marvel into the picture.
You have no link. You have no evidence. Just inferences and inductions.
So basically just another cheap attempt at trying to knock Disney/Marvel.
Oh well... Kevin feige announced that they will be having upcoming marvel films and included Oct 2022. Something they have never done before in the MCU as they never slated any MCU film in oct. Why don't you go and do some research and keep me out of your misery.

TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 3:59pm On Nov 17, 2019 |
AfricaGalactic: That Disney's announcement of four movies a year is BECAUSE of the Joker?
A link to the evidence for this assertion would be nice. You saw in my statement in the post that disney put a marvel movie in October 2022, something that they have never done before. If that's not enough that Joker struck a nerve in disney, then keep waiting for link, mtttccchhhwwww |

For some to think that a movie which a studio decided to put head-on with Avatar2 is going to flop is laughable. NeededGist: This has been known since, someone talked about it sometime ago, I can't remember the thread perhaps it was even on quora that I saw it. And also I don't see how it's related to Joker's success?
What do you mean by Comic book fatigue? Comic book fatigue is when the audience will start getting bored with CBM. Take for example, DC has 3 movies for 2021, MCU has 4, Sony marvel releases 1-2 movies... That will be about 9 CB movies per year alone |

NeededGist: Have you seen episode 2 of The Mandalorian? I haven't seen it though but its been getting Mixed reactions once again I told you so, but I am yet to watch ep2. From what I read, people are not happy that the show is just 32minutes. And out of the 32minutes, 6 minutes is for recap, intro etc. Will let you know what I think when I watch it. BTW, What are your thoughts on the new 4 MCU movies + MCU TV shows per year slate? Is it going to affect the DCEU? |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by TheKingIsHere: 11:04am On Nov 16, 2019 |
TheKingIsHere: Joker really struck a nerve in Disney as they announced that they will be releasing 4 MCU per year, in addition they will be releasing several MCU shows that will connect to the movies.
Doing this, is an indirect way to oversaturate the CBM market, leading to comic book fatigue.
Also, they have put an unnamed MCU movie in October 2022. First time Disney's marvel will put a movie in October. Take note that these are Disney's marvel plans. Sony's marvel will also be releasing several movies yearly. So we might have 5-6 marvel movies in theaters yearly. Lol. The CBM fatigue will be massive |
