I didn't say any R-rated movie that makes #400m isn't a success, I categorically stated MCU and DCEU because of how popular they are. In fact, there is no household/family (currently) that one person is not conversant with either DC or Marvel's characters. For unpopular movies, like the core horror movies, I will say #400m is a huge success, but not to DC or Marvel. That number for DC or Marvel is not encouraging at all.

Secondly,
Social media reviews can't be taking that (much) serious cause they often come with feelings and much sentiments - like there is no way the majority of the goers won't speak good of the movie since most are either fans or ain't professionals/expert in critiquing. And also they are not allowed to vent their thoughts exponentially pending when the coast is finally clear to do so, which is after RT embargo has been lifted.
Do you remember how there was 7mins round of applause for the "JOKER" movie, but what happened when critics dived into it? Despite that movie was a masterpiece.

Bro, the embargo lifted are mainly/mostly for fans servicing reviews by anyone who watched it. That's social media review, what I said was for "Rotten Tomato" reviews.

If you don't know; MoS had almost overwhelmed positive social media reviews when it was first premiered for few to watch, but what happened later.......you know the rest...

You think you are more DCian than some of us here (you are definitely not), so stop acting like one..... We all love DC in our own respective ways.

I want BoP to succeed like every other "right-thinking" DCians out there, but the over delay is making me uncomfortable (despite I don't give a damn about RT).

Even when you follow the trend of MCU you will notice that all their movies RT scores embargoes were usually lifted 3wks before their premiers except for Captain Marvel which was delayed and we all saw how messy that movie was despite it being certified fresh.

As I said I m giving my unbiased review.

this is the best thing coming out of DCEU. This movie was so real. This movie deserves a billion dollars not that piece of trash called Aquaman. DC messed up by not releasing this good family movie during Christmas .

As someone who has read all Shazam comics since Geoff Johns started writing shazam, the casting was 100% accurate, the story was good that I didn't check whether the CGI is bad or not, or even notice whether everywhere is dark(as usual), the humor were well placed. Characters development were good.
Some people are saying they copied power rangers which is not true , Shazam family appeared before power rangers.
Also love the fact they referenced fawcott (the original owner of shazam that DC destroyed )
where were these people when DC were making trash.

I must confess I really enjoyed this movie
Shazam family casting was just accurate with the comics and the story was just too real.
