A former German nurse who killed patients out of 'boredom' has emerged as the country's worst serial killer after police linked him to at least 106 deaths.

Niels Hoegel, who is already serving a life sentence for six murders, is suspected of killing the patients during his time working at two clinics in northern Germany.

Investigators said Niels Hoegel (41), injected patients with lethal drugs and felt “euphoric”  when he revived them. He claimed to be devastated when he failed.



Hoegel admitted to giving patients drugs that can cause heart failure or circulatory collapse, so he could then try to revive them and be hailed as a saviour.

When quizzed further by police he said he was unable to remember the full extent of his activities, though bragged: "To be honest I stopped counting after 50."

Prosecutors said he is now suspected in 38 cases in Oldenburg and 62 in Delmenhorst, but that in five of those cases further examinations are needed.

A thieving petrol-addicted monkey has been caught red-handed drinking fuel from motorbikes.

The petrol-addicted animal has been targeting parked bikes at the market in Panipat, in the northern Indian state of Haryana.

But they were stunned to realise the true culprit was a 'monkey'.

The animal was consuming so much petrol it was 'always high' and would even refuse gifts of bananas.

Gaurav Leekha, who runs a volunteer organisation in the city, said: "The monkey was clearly addicted to the petrol.

"It would refuse to eat even bananas and nuts if anyone offered it."

A reminder that you should never take life for granted. You only get 1 shot. Some people went to sleep and never woke up. Many others have lost the battle to cancer and other illnesses. Many are still fighting. U never know when your time will be up so don't waste another minute. It's also a testimony about the goodness of God.

I think I had to go through this again to remember how merciful God is to me; Lord knows I don't deserve it but He saves me time and again anyway. I keep saying I need to write a book. I really, really do.

A babysitter has been charged with murder after she crushed a 9-year-old girl to death by sitting on her as punishment for being naughty.

Veronica Green Posey, 64, was arrested in Florida following the death of Dericka Lindsay, who is believed to have had a heart attack.

Dericka Lindsay, 9, went into cardiac arrest after complaining she couldn't breathe when 64-year-old Veronica Green Posey sat on her for about 10 minutes.

The schoolgirl was rushed to hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead.

Posey told cops in Florida she had sat on Dericka to punish her for being "out of control", Pensacola News Journal reports.

The girl’s parents Grace Smith and James Smith also face neglect charges. Posey is free on $125,000 bail. Jail records don’t list an attorney.

In Grace Smith's arrest report, she said she had called Posey over to her house for assistance with disciplining Dericka.

Grace Smith told the investigating deputy that Posey struck Dericka with a ruler and a metal pipe, before Dericka ran to an armchair.

And in James Smith's arrest report, the paper said he told the deputy that Posey sat on Dericka in the armchair for an estimated 10 minutes before Dericka complained of not being able to breathe.

On Tuesday night, unknown gunmen reported to be wearing Army Uniforms ambushed and killed 9 people and injured three persons in Rim Community of Riyom Local Government of Plateau State.

According to New Telegraph, those shot dead on the spot were initially 7, but later 2 out of the 5 injured, died in the Hospital where they were rushed to.

Media Officer of OPSH Captain Umar Adams this morning confirmed the last night attack in Rim.

He said the victims were ambushed while on their way from Makera Market in Riyom LGA. He said the commander led the troop immediately to the scene and spent the night there trailing the attackers but could not get any of them.

Captain Umar Adams added that the Task Force personnel were instantly mobilized to the scene on receipt of the information, “By the time our troops arrived the scene, the attackers had fled but we are still doing our groundwork to see if we can trace and apprehend them”.

He said the task force has deployed their Helicopter there and they are currently carrying out an aerial surveillance so as to track the attackers.

He denied the rumours about the attack being connected to Fulani and Soldiers, saying such allegation is unthinkable and can only come from mischief makers.

He, however said they had launched their investigation into the attack and will make public their findings as soon as possible.

Those responsible for the attack are still unknown, although a survivor claims he saw the attackers wearing army uniform.

A heartbroken Thai woman has admitted to throwing her newborn baby from a 17th Floor window because her married boyfriend left her to return to his family, police have claimed.

Netchanok Nokyungtong, 20, was dumped by her 40-year-old lover when he found out that she was pregnant.

A horrified workman told police that he saw a large object fall past his window on the fourth floor and hit the ground at around 5pm, and was shocked to find the baby boy on the ground when he ran downstairs to check.

But after telling him she was pregnant he wanted nothing to do with her and left to go back to his family.


Police Colonel Apichai Khemphet added: "This is a very brutal crime. The baby was born in a healthy condition. The mother did not have grief for what had happened.

"Her boyfriend had left and tried to tell her to abort the baby. She said she did not have money to support the child."

The 38-year-old won 116 caps for Italy across a 13-year international career and helped them win the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Andrea Pirlo began his career at Brescia and also played for Inter, AC Milan and Juventus before joining the Major League Soccer side two years ago.

Cassiel Wuta-Offei, also known as ‘Scribz’, has been sentenced to six months imprisonment for being in possession of a knife in London.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian musician, of Fount Street SW8, was sentenced to six months imprisonment at Camberwell Magistrates Court on Friday, 20 October for being in possession of an offensive weapon.

Cassiel Wuta-Offei, 25, was stopped by police near Brixton Hill on Monday, 18 September and was arrested for being in possession of a pointed/bladed article.

A fitness instructor has been found guilty of murdering his 18-month-old adopted daughter by violently shaking her and striking her head.

Matthew Scully-Hicks, 31, inflicted a catalogue of injuries including bruises, a broken leg and a fall down a full flight of stairs – on Elsie in the eight months he had care of her.

She died four days after being violently shaken and sustaining a fractured skull just two weeks after being formally adopted by the defendant and his husband.

Paul Lewis QC, for the prosecution, told the jury at Cardiff crown court that Scully-Hicks lost his temper with Elsie and caused her “catastrophic injuries”.

Lewis said: “He shook her and he struck her head against some hard surface, or he used a hard object to hit her to the back of the head. She was just 18 months old. She was defenceless and vulnerable.”

Neighbours reported they heard the former lifeguard and fitness instructor shouting "shut the f**k up" at Elsie and calling her a "little f***ing brat" and a "silly little c**t" when she cried.



The 31-year-old fitness instructor insisted he never harmed his daughter and claimed he found her unresponsive at their home in Llandaff, Cardiff, on 25 May last year.

But following the trial lasting more than four weeks, during which 12 medical experts and six doctors gave evidence, jurors unanimously found him guilty of murder.

I believe in tithing too and it has perfectly worked for me. Not just tithing but giving generally. I remembered I sowed a seed of seventeen thousand naira in 2013 in my church, Assemblies of God Church, Egbelu Ariaria, Aba. That money was from my savings from teaching in a primary school. Furthermore, I was about sitting for jamb then. I tabled two prayer points before God. I implored God to please grant me admission and provide a sponsor. God did the two and I can happily testify that I'm a graduate. Defended my project last week. Awaiting service currently.

I will sow another dangerous one soon. I will testify again.

You might not believe in tithe, don't discourage others to pay. That money goes a long in helping in the Lord's work. Check out those that give unto God wholeheartedly. They never lack. You might not give in church but those infinitesimal philanthropy you administer to the destitutes and less privilege around you speak blessings invariably upon your life.
