Nigerian Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has claimed that the burial rites done for the late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari was an arranged plot.

The controversial news breaker said that Mallam Kyari died in Ikoyi and was cremated -A time period was not specified. Kemi further revealed that the corpse that was buried today was one Dauda, an inner aide of the late Abba Kyari.

The NCDC has replaced Funke Akindele with Toyin Abraham shortly after her recent disobedience of the government’s social distancing order in Lagos.

Funke Akindele was prosecuted after she held a house party to mark the celebration of her husband’s birthday, the video from the house party they held surfaced on social media as proof. The likes of Naira Marley, Eniola Badmus and many more were spotted at the party despite the lockdown order by the government and the need for social distancing.

Because of this, she was alienated by Dettol Nigeria and the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control after flouting the social distancing order imposed on the residents of Lagos in view of the Coronavirus outbreak ravaging the state.

Now she has been replaced by her colleague in the movie industry, Toyin Abraham. The NCDC shared a post on Twitter today with Toyin Abraham

A video gathering momentum to go viral on social media and it shows a Nigerian mother crying bitterly over her lifeless son's body on the roadside at Npkor, Anambra after men of the Police force reportedly killed him.

Twitter user, identified as King Absolute shared the sad video on his profile and tagged relevant human rights activities to help call the officers involved in the impunity to books.

According to him, the young man and his mother were on the roadside before an altercation happened between the officers and the boy who was reportedly shot dead without hesitation.

People gathered around the lifeless body as his mother and other known person brood and mourn bitterly in public, The Police complaint unit has responded to the video and have initiated an investigation

It is a Sunday and having to remind ourselves of 'the humanity' in us even in these perilous times should take over church preaching today. A Ghanaian man has shared a touching story of how he took up the role of a father shortly after his younger sister died from childbirth complications.

The story obtained from 'Humansofny' page on Instagram is one of a brother and his younger sister who felt so disappointed that she got pregnant and he did not know until she was 7months gone. The man recounted how he had no choice than to forgive his sister and assumed the responsibilities of taking care of her till the inevitable happened.

Fans will have to wait at least a week before the next installment of Quarantine Radio.

The show's host, Canadian rapper Tory Lanez took to Instagram on Tuesday claiming the platform had suspended his live-streaming function until March 14. The rapper posted a screenshot of an app message that read: "Based on the previous use of this feature, your account has been temporarily blocked from taking this action ... We restrict certain content and actions to protect our community."

Lanez captioned the post, "THEY DIDN'T WANT ME TO WIN"—a reference to the broadcasts' record-breaking viewership.

Shortly after Lanez announced the temporary block, he created a new Instagram page specifically for Quarantine Radio. But it wasn't long before that account was also stripped of its Instagram Live capabilities again.

"This is crazy at this point ... I had 350k live, Instagram cut me off," Lanez said in a subsequent video. "I made a whole brand new page n***as ain't never heard of ... I just got to 100,000, Instagram shut me off."

A four-year-old female Malayan tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The tiger, named Nadia, is believed to be the first known case of an animal infected by a human with Covid-19.

The Bronx Zoo, in New York City, says the test result was confirmed by the National Veterinary Services Laboratory in Iowa.

Nadia, along with six other big cats, is thought to have been infected by an asymptomatic zoo keeper.

The cats started showing symptoms, including a dry cough, late last month after exposure to the employee, who has not been identified.

"This is the first time that any of us know of anywhere in the world that a person infected the animal and the animal got sick," Paul Calle, the chief veterinarian at the zoo, told Reuters news agency on Sunday.

He said he intends to share the findings with other zoos and institutions researching the transmission of Covid-19.

"We tested the cat [Nadia] out of an abundance of caution and will ensure any knowledge we gain about Covid-19 will contribute to the world's continuing understanding of this novel coronavirus," the zoo said in a statement.

Nadia, her sister Azul, as well as two Amur tigers and three African lions who showed symptoms, are all expected to make a full recovery, the zoo said.

The big cats did have some decrease in appetite but "are otherwise doing well under veterinary care and are bright, alert, and interactive with their keepers", it said.

The zoo said it is not known how the virus will develop in animals like tigers and lions since various species can react differently to new infections, but all the animals will be closely monitored.

A 55years old man has reportedly died from the complications of coronavirus in the Lagos University Teaching Hospital LUTH, Idi Araba.

According to reports gathered from multiple sources, the man was taken to the government-owned facility by his family members and claimed to have had only fever/tiredness, He didn’t disclose his travel, medical history

A reliable source at the tertiary hospital told Punch that the man died of COVID-19 complications.

The source said the hospital discovered that the patient had COVID-19 after he tested positive to the virus when a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test was done on his blood posthumously.

“Fingerprint antibody test was done on him, confirming his COVID-19 infection,” our source said.

The source further revealed that the man, a 55-year-old hypertensive and diabetic patient had presented to LUTH’s emergency unit on Thursday night with “malaise, tremors, and fever.” He was also diagnosed with acute chronic kidney disease and sepsis'


The source, a caregiver, said the man did not disclose his travel history and had died “a few hours” after his admission to the Federal Government-owned facility.

Health workers that directly treated the deceased have reportedly gone into isolation haven discovered they have been exposed to the deadly virus.  The man died early Friday morning, and the Lagos State coronavirus emergency workers took away his body.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control has advised that mass gatherings of any type should be discouraged as the fear of a possible outbreak looms. In an update released by the NCDC on Monday afternoon, the National Epidemic monitoring team is on top of situation in the country as the global transmission of the virus becomes worrisome.

'The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) is constantly monitoring the epidemiological
situation in the country. In view of the rapid evolution and global transmission of coronavirus,
NCDC will make the recommendation for cancellation of mass gatherings in line with guidelines
from the World Health Organization (WHO).' 

The federal government has placed close watch on all types of mass gatherings, outlining a few to be discouraged and if can't be dallied, proper authorization should be taken from the State Ministry of Health.

Below are the guidelines from the NCDC:

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control offers the following guidance with key planning
considerations for organisers currently planning mass gatherings in view of the COVID-19
outbreak. These include:

• Religious events e.g. church services, calls to prayer, prayer meetings and other
gatherings
• Sporting events e.g. football matches
• Social events e.g. weddings, funerals, parties, music concerts
• Others e.g. youth service camps, conferences, exhibitions
Organisers of these events must ensure adequate preparations are in place, before hosting an
event. Event organisers should consider using distancing measures to reduce close contact
among people during the gathering e.g by providing more entry and exit points, more food
points, ensure handwashing facilities (with soap and water) are readily available at entry and exit
points.

PRE-EVENT OR GATHERING
1. The State Ministry of Health should be informed of the event. The location will be assessed
by officials from the State Ministry of Health to ensure safety procedures are in place. The
requirements listed below will be assessed prior to the event.
2. Organisers should provide the following information to attendees prior to the event and at
entry
o Advice on regularly and thoroughly washing of hands with soap under running water or
use alcohol-based hand sanitizer
o Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
o Avoid shaking hands, hugging and any other form of physical contact where possible

Please stay at home if you feel ill with fever, cough or breathing difficulties
o Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze
(organisers can provide this). Dispose of the tissues immediately
o Please remain in self-isolation for 14 days, if you have just returned from China, Japan,
Italy, Republic of Korea, Iran, France, Germany, Spain
DURING EVENT OR GATHERING
1. Use the gathering to reinforce messages on hand and respiratory hygiene and staying safe.
Religious institutions are encouraged to demonstrate hand washing technique before the
start of prayers to their congregation
2. Ensure provision of adequate hand washing facilities including running water, soap or
alcohol-based hand sanitizer
3. People with symptoms such as cough and a fever should NOT BE ALLOWED into the premises.
Arrangements should be made to check this on entry
4. Organisers should provide adequate human resource who will be responsible for cleaning
and disinfecting communal places such as ablution areas, all floors, toilets and surfaces such
as door handles, chairs and church benches with disinfectant or soap
5. Organisers should provide adequate waste management facilities such as closed trash cans
so that people dispose tissue and other waste properly
6. Organisers should review practices that put their congregation at risk (e.g sharing a
communal cup, receiving the holy communion on the tongue, shaking hands)
FACILITIES IN PLACE FOR MASS GATHERINGS:
1. Room with adequate ventilation and proper air circulation
2. Hand washing facilities- running water and soap
3. Waste management facilities
4. Health personnel to detect fever on entry and respond to emergencies
5. Adequate resources to disinfect after the event
Attendees at mass gatherings are also advised to review the advisory above and take note of
preventive measures.

Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo has come out with new revelations about the pregnancy saga that shook Davido in 2013. The US-based journalist reveals that she has been the one taking care of the girl, who is named Anu Adeleke since 2018.

She called out Anu's mother, Ayo for being a prostitute who slept with most of Davido's entourage at the Ibadan club she was working in 2013. Kemi further called on Davido to retake a new DNA test as she believes the previous that came out negative was altered. In more twists to her reports, if Davido's initial DNA test results were negative, it means his cousin B-Red might turn out positive as they were both believed to have slept with the lady.


Davido admitted that his entire entourage slept with Ayo Labinjoh February 2013 after a concert and a bar visit to where she worked. BRed Bayo Adeleke, Late DJ Olu and Davido's mgr all slept with her as I heard him on a set up conversation.

We are still marvelled at the shocking development about Ike Onyeoma and Mercy Eke’s relationship after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram this week. Ike and Mercy did not only unfollow each other on Instagram but they also deleted each other’s photos from their social media pages.
