Nairaland GeneralRe: Do Real Men Cry? by theORAKU(m): 8:36am On Dec 21, 2005
REAL men do cry, but over what?

it really must be worth it.

For me, I will never cry if a girl tells me its over. Its simply crying over spilt milk. because when a woman is fed up, there's nothing u can do about it.

Under what condition will you cry? cry cry
Lets hear.

CareerRe: Outstanding Achievements of Nigerians in the US by theORAKU(m): 4:48pm On Dec 20, 2005
Its so good to hear naijas making wave around in the US.

You have all forgotten about the father of the internet, Phillip emeagwali.
that guy has been voted 35th greatest African ranking among people like Mandela, Nkrumah, Pele, Bob Marley, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King.

CNN Calls Emeagwali:
A FATHER OF THE INTERNET

"Who is the
Father of the Internet?"
is like asking:
Who invented
the supercomputer
that gave rise to
the Internet.

In reality,
no one individual
invented the Internet alone.
It has many fathers,
as well as mothers,
uncles, and aunts.

It was not even born
at one place
or time.
Instead,
it grew organically and
incrementally,
following trails
that are non-intersecting.

Take the trail of
Philip Emeagwali,
whom CNN called
"A Father of the Internet."

Emeagwali theorized
that 65,000 computers
around the Earth
could forecast the weather.
His theoretical supercomputer,
with 65,000 nodes,
is known today as the Internet.

Using 65,000 processors,
he invented a formula
that inspired
the reinvention of the supercomputer
as thousands of electronic brains
that occupies the space of
four tennis courts.

Bill Clinton explained,
in a televised speech
(as president)
that Emeagwali's formula
helped give rise
to the age of information.

Yet his invention is one that,
unfortunately,
few of us recognize.

Certainly,
inventions such as this
deserve better.
After all,
can you send your email
without computers and
the Internet?

** something i found on his site http://www.emeagwali.com **

Come to think of it it seems as if the whole thing is stagewise for most nairanians.

At first, core ajepako>>ajepapko>>ajepakoplanta>>ajepakoanchor>>ajebuta>>ajebutaplanta>>ajebutaanchor>>ajebutacore.

so where do u belong?

i belong to ajebuta based on this classification.

hi,
doctor:
undecided angry SOME OF YOU SPEAKS LIKE A KID,AS IF YOU ARE A FOREIGNER. SOME COMPARES EEDRIS TO 2FACE,OTHERS ABUSED HIM.
WHY DON'T YOU ASK YOURSELVES WHY HE IS DOING ALL THAT YOU ACCUSED HIM OF?
GET TO THE ROOT OF A MATTER BEFORE PASSING JUDGEMENT. I AM NOT HIS FAN. BUT VIEWING YOUR OPINIONS,IT;S LIKE YOU HAVE DECIDED TO BRING EACH EVERYONE ONE YOU A GOOD RAPPER. WHY DON'T YOU SEND HIM WORDS OF ADVISE INSTEAD OF MAKING UNGRACEFUL POINT HERE.
IF YOU DON'T LIKE HIM SEND THE WORDS TO HIS MAIL OR TO HIS PRODUCER.

DON'T BE SELFISH,SPREAD OUT THE WORD
big DOC, please kindly teach your kids how to speak.

Moreover i was referring to hot angel's commenet when i wrote" she's really an HOT angel" not eedris.

Any star wey f!@Kup, we go treat am hia; because these guys come on tv(indirectly our homes) and are supposed to be role models for the younger ones.

Of Course, what is wrong with Nigeria, that I will not be proud of being a nigerian huh, nothing to me, so yeah, I am a proud Nigerian.
There 1001 things wrong with Nigeria!
To start naming them, we will need a fresh thread where every nairanian will have something to contribute. This is a country where basic and necessary things don't work.

I am proud to be a nigerian not because Nigeria is a good or fantastic country
but because i aint got any other place but here.

Be proud of what u have.
