Leauwizzy:don't mind the bad belle. The office of the Accountant General of the federation is responsible for the payment of salaries to anybody working for the Federal government. So I don't know what agency he is talking about. Besides, I wonder which agency of government is not competent for Christ sake?!. Summary: budget 2020 has been signed into law, the ministry of finance has no excuse whatsoever not to begin implementation. But the issue here is no one knows how much precisely cos neither the DG, the minstry of finance nor the minister of youth and sports development is coming up with any figures. I remember during Goodluck, the then DG, Gen. Tsiga stated it as soon as the then president approved, how much will be paid, how many months arrears will be paid and all that. But this govt always keeps things secret, too bad! |
Thank God he is safe. But let me ask; was he on an illegal or legal trip? And was the issue reported to the NYSC? If yes, what was their response? |
You are a bastard |
Enwhen:my brother, its not true. NMS is only a secondary school o. And last time I checked the Nysc act, Nysc is only meant for graduates of higher institutions. An ssce holder, like those from nms can not, and I repeat"can not" partake in the Nysc scheme cos they are not qualified to. Always check your facts before bringing them forward. |

Simplyleo:. My brother, that is how very unintelligent we have reduced ourselves to in this country. I wonder when building a facility as big as that, with tens of billions of naira, that the governor and his family and other top government functionaries will enjoy, has become a yardstick to rate a governor as hard working. How does that impact on the life of the common man?! N.a. wa o |

tbabs10166:Not just wolves. The guy is a below average player. I see Mancity getting another left back this summer, as long as Pep remains |

Can we pls see an arieal veiw? |
Lekan111:I came across all these too. But truth is they are all speculations. Nothing here shows or answers the issue of payment of arrears to corps members. Untill the FG comes out with a definite statement, (which they are not), we are all but speculating. |
I don't seem to understand what is happening with the Federal government as pe the payment of new minimum wage arrears to corps members. If you are one of those that have followed this up in the last 5 months, you will discover that it has been like a ball ⚽ juggling from either the ministry of youths sports and national development (MYSND) to the ministry of finance, or from the MYSND to the NYSC itself. You will recall that sometime in October, the honourable minister of the MYSND told the whole world (via his verified twitter account) that corps members will enjoy the new minimum wage, and that the DG of the NYSC will provide further details of payment as soon as he (the DG) gets full briefing from the honourable ministers of Finance and MYSND. Days latter, the DG said he was yet to get any directives from the Minister of finance on the implementation. But he was also quick to add that implementation will begin as soon as the FG begins to implement that of Federal civil servants. Sometime in December, the minister of MYSND told corps members in Lagos that corps members will only begin to receive the adjusted wage from next year (2020) because it was fully catered for in the 2020 budget. Take note that nobody has come out in details to state exactly how much corps members will receive and if they will be paid in arrears. The Federal Executive Council in one of its meetings in October had directed the minister of Finance to effect the payments of both the new minimum wage as well as arrears on or before December 31. Today is supposed to be deadline yet, nothing has been seen nor heard. But I have been very reliably informed that Federal civil servants received their adjusted minimum wage salaries for December, plus they have started receiving arrears since Monday. I don't seem to understand because the issue of the new minimum wage is something that has been on for well over a year now. Does that mean the FG has not been proactive to send a supplementary budget to the NASS, or are they trying to say that if Labour and Government had reached an agreement on the consequential adjustment since May, they would have waited till 2020 to start implementation, or are they also saying that corps members are less important, or they don't live in the same harsh economic realities every other person faces in Nigeria today?! Maybe they (corps members) dont go to the same markets, or perhaps they rent their own houses from the sky, or maybe the FG government pays the utility bills of corps members and provides free transportation from their homes to PPA's and from homes to CDS. I just don't seem to understand I swear, plus its very annoying. Please anyone with info on this issue could input. Thanks |
Dikegodspower:absolutely, I concur. You see, govt is very insincere about the whole issue. Ok, let us even assume there was an agreement, with the consequential adjustment, reached in June, 2019. Are you telling me that govt will have to wait till the 2020 budget to be passed before implementation?! Let us give them the benefit of the doubt and see if there is any arrears captured in the 2020 budget for the corps members, if not, I'll be very disappointed in the APC govt. |
VaughnSangrey:Who is saying everyone from the north is hausa?! And who is also saying all hausa speakers are hausa for Christ sake?! Oga, you are deviating from the original response I commented on. I advice you go back and check what I commented on and check what you posted as regards my comment. If you cant reconcile it, too bad! |
VaughnSangrey:you have not made any sense sir! |
Bazamfare:Ah!, I feel like weeping, plus I'm so so shocked at your response and ignorance! For your information sir, not everyone, who comes from the North is a Muslim. Let me give you instances; there are indigenous Christians in Kano (maguzawas). There are plenty Christians in Kaduna (Southern Kaduna), go to Bauchi state and you will find indigenous Christians (Tafawa Balewa LGA), in fact, that is where the immediate former speaker of the house of reps comes from. Go to Bornu state, Chibok, you will find Christians, kebbi state (zurus), Taraba, Adamawa, Sokoto, name them. My brother, there is no state in Nigeria were you don't have indigenous Christians. Please erase that thought from your mind and stop misleading others |
stevmatt:your sister could be a victim tomorrow, God forbid, you have to speak against domestic violence my dear brother |
wellmax:don't mind him |
chiefolododo:and you think that's enough reason to even lay your hands on your wife, not to even talk od killing her?! Oga, think well and give a better response. Happy boxing day. |
Give me just 8 billion, and I will renovate the whole complex, in 9 months. Madam, do you know what 37 billion is? That money is about 1/3 of the budget of some small states in Nigeria, and you say its misplaced outrage. Give that money to Gov Fayemi and see how about 3 million Ekiti people will not benefit from it. When the MKO Abiola stadium was built by the Obasanjo administration in 2003, do you know for how much it was built? 38 billion! Pensions are still been owed since 2006, and are been paid in small small bits, minimum wage arrears have not been paid, Lagos Ibadan road is still there, second Niger bridge is dragging, Mambilla project... I beg you madam, I know you were once a senator and it is now your duty to speak for the red chambers (at least for now), but you have to do that feeling the pulse of the nation. If the building complex is that of the FCT, why then are you telling Mr president? Why not go and tell the FCT minister? You are even contradicting yourself |
Merry Christmas to you all, on the platform. I wish you all God's unlimited blessings this yuletide, and I pray our aspirations and yearnings will come to pass in no distant time. God bless you all. The struggle continues!!! |
ivolt:I'm surprised at your statement. For your info, falana is about the most popular lawyer/ human rights activist in Nigeria today. And you want to know what he was before this govt? He was formed president of all lawyers in west Africa |
The body language of most of these Govs is not encouraging. Even that of the Federal govt isn't either. Their propaganda is too much. It is as if they are been forced to pay. Even though Mr El Rufai is not a perfect man, he needs to be commended. No matter how you see him, the man is a very proactive man and we need such kind of minds are needed in Nigeria. |
I used to know Garba Shehu as a die hard Atiku man those days. But today, he can take a bullet for Buhari... Anyway, I know he is good in his job. |
surgical:I really didn't want to respond to you cos you have shown little or no knowledge about this group nor the predicaments of the fellows here. You don't know where we were, where we are and where we are going. As such, let me just leave sleeping dogs lie and let you be with your intelligence and sophisticated brain. |
I see no pix |
surgical:sorry sir/ ma. I don't get you |
NwaAmaikpe:oga, Otedola owes nobody anything. If he has helped Christian Chukwu and all those you have mentioned, it was only out of his generosity. Why cant others also help?! Na only Otedola be richman for Nigeria? There are people in this country who spend upto 5 million in a sitting/club. Bros, Otedola owes nobody anything! Let others help too. My be you culd have helped with your little 5k and generate funds for him. The point is, let us help people in wateva little way we can |
0taPiaPia:The statement from the so called ATEN is very laughable. I'm surprised they still have the guts. They look desperate. Like @brosiye has said, only and only @ptad have the mandate to pay any monies to all ex mitel/mtel staff. Please no one should be deceived, the issue of 20 buy out has died (with the introduction of monthly pensions), except ATEN are trying to say all the pensions received since 2018 will be returned. We have gone past that one now. What we are concerned about now is how the FG will fund @ptad to pay the accumulated arrears btw 2012 to when pensions started. Please and please, lets be guided. |
valentineuwakwe:. No sir. In the govt circle, there are laid down procedures. I'm not justifying the unnecessary long time this issue of new minimum wage has lingered. The federal govt could not have started paying any wage without that circular from the NSWIC. That circular is the main thing everyone was waiting for. Now that it has been released, I bet you, the next salary alert that Federal Civil Servants will see is their new salaries. |
