When Ini Edo‘s shock divorce from Philip Ehiagwina was announced in December 2014, we heard a lot from sources connected to her ex hubby about what caused the marriage crash.

However Ini stayed mum on the subject of her divorce until yesterday when she appeared on Y Naija’s Rubbin’ Minds where she addressed the cause of her split as well as reports that she is dating actor Mike Godson.

Here are the three things she said caused her marriage ended

My marriage fell out because of differences. We couldn’t find common grounds and agree on certain things so we fell out.
We were far apart from each other.
He was the last child, so his family members kinda interfered in the marriage.

Rocking a red jumpsuit, Nigerian/American joined Swift on stage at The Staples Center on August 22, where she belted out a stripped-down version of the pop star’s song, “White Horse,” with her.

Reuben Abati Has Something To Say About Perception That GEJ Was Always Drunk While President

The former special adviser on media & publicity to President Goodluck Jonathan, Reuben Abati is clearing up some misconceptions about the former President, namely hat he is not an alcoholic.

While appearing on a recent interview with Ogun State Radio Station, Rockcity 101.9 FM Abati cleared up rumours that GEJ was constantly intoxicated, saying that this perception of the former pres. was one used to stereotype people from the South-South zone.


He said,

President Jonathan does not drink. You see, that’s one of the myths about that administration and you must understand how this thing is; it’s all about perception, communication. But I can tell you that in my 4 years of working for President Jonathan, I never found him in a bibulous situation. If he ever tasted any drink, maybe a glass of wine during special occasions. All those stories about him drinking, about President Jonathan always being inebriated, about bibulous situations inside the Villa, those things did not exist. The people must find justifications to say this is why we think this situation is this way it is. He is a very humble man; he is a very committed person to the Nigerian project if you look at the results of the elections, you’ll see that he lost the elections with about 2.5 million votes or thereabout, which means that a large number of Nigerians still believed in him and also believed in his ability and his capability of his administration to move Nigeria forward.

I’m not sure how this information about GEJ changes the price of fish in the market…either way it’s good to know that Mr. Abati remains loyal to his former boss, just a few weeks ago he wrote a piece about how his phones no longer ring, now that he’s no longer in the corridors of power

The controversy trailing Five Star Music act – Skiibii’s death stunt isn’t going anywhere any time soon!

The Five Star music crew is currently on a mission to clean up the damage the death stunt of the 22 year old has caused! KCee, Harry Songz & the man at the center of the entire controversy Skiibii appeared on Nigerian radio station Cool FM, where they cleared the air on the death stunt.

Skiibii narrated what happened that day saying,

This thing that happened has happened to me in the past, like 3 times. It happens like a sudden blackout. I remember it happened to me once while I was flying on a plane with our producer, Del B. They had to shut down the plane. At that time, doctors (carried out a) heart scan on me and said I was ok, that the blackout happens when I’m too stressed or too excited. This past Friday, I was in my brother’s house in Surulere when it happened. I was actually about to open a door when it happened. I don’t know about the pictures that circulated because the photos were taken like 2 weeks ago in South Africa. I got discharged from the hospital on Monday, August 17, 2015 and they took me straight home. When I hear all the ‘Rest In Peace’ stories flying around

Regarding the death photo, KCee & Skiibii say they do not know who sent the picture out.

When asked what manager – Soso Sobrekon did when the story went viral. KCee says they were both travelling at the time but he got word from his boys in Nigeria who were close to the Skiibii that he may have passed, which is what prompted him to put up a candle light picture.

An emotional KCee also said during the interview, “I blame my manager. As we speak now I’ve fired him, because he can’t put people through this mess, because of one silly mistake, it’s not proper, it’s not professional”

Harrysong also said he blames Soso Sobrekon.

KCee also used the opportunity to apologize to the public.

I thought Do2un handled this interview very well. He did not let KCee or Skiibii have an easy ride during the interview.

GEJ Shocked By Level Of Corruption In His Administration! Says He Did Not Know It Was That Bad.

Former president Goodluck Jonathan is currently on vacation with his wife Patience and two kids at the Mara Games Reserve in Kenya, but before he headed out on his retirement holiday he met with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, his first time back since vacating office on May 29th.

During the private meeting it was gathered that GEJ was immensely shocked when facts and figures about the corruption that went down during his administration were presented to him. According to the report gathered from the private meeting, he was quoted to have said that he’s just realizing this corruption for the first time, he apparently had no idea!


According to Mike Angelo News,

The meeting was at the instance of the 2015 Elections Peace Committee, after former President, Jonathan complained that President Buhari was not sticking to the peace accord they signed. Jonathan was reported to have also sought for understanding on alleged corrupt practices and mismanagement of funds under his administration, with a source saying the former President claimed he was hearing about some of the graft allegations for the first time.The report however claimed that President Buhari reportedly insisted that all looted funds must be returned to the nation’s coffers, adding that the President also restated his pledge that Jonathan had nothing to fear at all.

According to a source quoted by the report, the outcome of the meeting between Buhari and Jonathan formed the motive behind Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo’s declaration at the weekend that the target of the administration’s anti-corruption war was not Jonathan.

This is crazy!

22 year old act Skiibii Mayana who was signed to KCee’s FiveStar Music last year has died! There are no details on his cause of death as yet but according to reports he slumped and died at his home this morning.

Just yesterday he visited radio stations Naija Info & Wazobia FM in Lagos with his label mate Harrysong to promote his new single which he dropped yesterday called Sampu. He even recorded a snapchat video with Harry, which you can see below.

According to reports he was dressed & ready to go out to promote his single, when he collapsed and died. A photo of him dead was posted distastefully posted on Instagram…this is terrible…so young.

In Africa there is so much pressure on women to not just get married but to get pregnant on their wedding night, but actress Stephanie Linus Idahosa who covers this month’s edition of Genevieve Magazine did not fall for the pressure.

The actress who married Linus Idahosa in April 2012 explained to the magazine why she waited 3 years to have a baby. She said,

Waiting this long to have a baby is a personal choice and God ultimately decides. You have to be ready mentally and physically. I had a lot of films that I was shooting and I was travelling a lot too. My movie is out now, and I cannot even promote it across Africa like I wanted to do because I am stuck in one place. Its also God’s timing. Neither my husband nor I were pressured. I feel this is the right time for it to happen. Right after we got married, I was on set shooting. But this year was different. It’s the perfect year for me to get pregnant.

Majek Fashek Finally Confirms Addiction To Drugs & Alcohol. Warns People Not To Use Drugs.

We had already told you that struggling reggae star Majek Fashek is currently undergoing drug & alcohol rehab in Abuja. Yesterday (Aug 10) the embattled entertainer held a press conference in the capital city, during the press briefing he was flanked by his treatment specialists and Charly Boy.

At the press conference Fashek who is now a shadow of the man who made hits like Send Down The Rain confirmed he is in rehab for drug & alcohol addiction. I don’t know about Nigerian but I know in Western climes the first step in treating any type of addiction is to acknowledge and admit said addiction, which the music star did yesterday.

Perhaps now a changed man Fashek, gave kids a strong warning about the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse.

People should stop the use of alcohol and drugs because being drunk will end up destroying your career and your plans for the future. Coming to the rehab is not a bad idea because I realised that I am addicted to alcohol and it was beginning to affect my output and what I enjoy doing and decided to seek for help. I am not the first singer or person that will go to the rehab; most renowned celebrities we know today go to rehabilitation centres to cool their memory.

Speaking on why he finally admitted his addiction to drugs he said,

I publicly admitted to addiction to alcohol because so many things are being said about me on the social media and nobody forced me to the rehab. Propaganda of scandal was being monotonous to my generation. I want to run from the stress of Babylon of Africa and I need to be credited for the works I have done.

He also cleared the air about the long standing rumour that he was deported from the United States where his kids still live, saying he was never deported. He also added that he is fighting to protect the legacy of his kids.

The consultant and psychiatrist treating Majek Fashek, Dr Vincent Udenze at the press conference said his rehabilitation would take a while and that it would be a journey.

Majek Fashek Finally Confirms Addiction To Drugs & Alcohol. Warns People Not To Use Drugs.

We had already told you that struggling reggae star Majek Fashek is currently undergoing drug & alcohol rehab in Abuja. Yesterday (Aug 10) the embattled entertainer held a press conference in the capital city, during the press briefing he was flanked by his treatment specialists and Charly Boy.

At the press conference Fashek who is now a shadow of the man who made hits like Send Down The Rain confirmed he is in rehab for drug & alcohol addiction. I don’t know about Nigerian but I know in Western climes the first step in treating any type of addiction is to acknowledge and admit said addiction, which the music star did yesterday.

Perhaps now a changed man Fashek, gave kids a strong warning about the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse.

People should stop the use of alcohol and drugs because being drunk will end up destroying your career and your plans for the future. Coming to the rehab is not a bad idea because I realised that I am addicted to alcohol and it was beginning to affect my output and what I enjoy doing and decided to seek for help. I am not the first singer or person that will go to the rehab; most renowned celebrities we know today go to rehabilitation centres to cool their memory.

Speaking on why he finally admitted his addiction to drugs he said,

I publicly admitted to addiction to alcohol because so many things are being said about me on the social media and nobody forced me to the rehab. Propaganda of scandal was being monotonous to my generation. I want to run from the stress of Babylon of Africa and I need to be credited for the works I have done.

He also cleared the air about the long standing rumour that he was deported from the United States where his kids still live, saying he was never deported. He also added that he is fighting to protect the legacy of his kids.

The consultant and psychiatrist treating Majek Fashek, Dr Vincent Udenze at the press conference said his rehabilitation would take a while and that it would be a journey.
