The Dean household is showing Wizkid so much love! A few hours after super producer Swizz Beatz (real name: Kassim Dean) shared a video if him vibing to Wizkid’s Ojuelegba, his wife, Grammy award winning singer & songwriter Alicia Keys also posted a video on her Instagram jamming to Wizkid’s music.

First she shared a video of her and her hubby dancing to Caro, which she captioned,

She then followed it up with another one of just herself in a blue jumpsuit and matching scarf swaying to the song of the moment – Ojuelegba! Saying, “This song makes me happy #goodvibes @wizkidayo ?”

Wizzy is currently in Ivory Coast for a show, where he hung out with another music star Akon. He reposted the videos and shout outs from Swizz Beatz & Alicia Keys, obviously humbled by the recognition he is getting from the megastars.

The annual “Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith are getting divorced” rumours are here again.

This time it all started when RadarOnline reported that:

Will and Jada have decided to “pull the plug” on their 17-year marriage and that they already have a “secret divorce deal” in place to divide their $240 million fortune. They claim an “insider” said that Will and Jada are “exhausted from trying to maintain the facade of a happy union,” and have “decided to pull the plug in a carefully choreographed manner, [and] agree announcing their split at the end of the summer is the right move.”

The Balogun’s have yet to show their baby’s face and reveal his name, but by Yoruba tradition the naming ceremony will be today so we guess once all that is done we will be seeing a lot more pictures of Baby Balogun. So far Tiwa who had her baby in the United Kingdom has remained quiet about the arrival of her newborn.

This is her first child and the third for Tee Billz.

Over the weekend reports went viral that an Atlanta based woman had accused music star Timaya of r*ping her.

The allegations were made last Thursday and carried on all through the weekend on Instagram under the identity ‘ExposingtherealTimaya,’. She put out a bunch of screenshots of texts between herself and Timaya as well as recorded phone conversations.

In one of the posts the lady who later identified herself as Shella B. wrote,

You are a rapist. I will make sure the world knows it. You might want to cancel your show and get out of Atlanta because I am going to the police.

However in an interview with Punch, Timaya flat out denied r*ping the woman but he did confess that they had consensual sekz. Which means he cheated on his baby mama Barbara who just two weeks ago gave birth to their second child.


He said

She is a fan who follows me on Instagram. She started by sending direct messages and if you looked at the screenshots my manager released, you would see that on many occasions running into weeks, I wouldn’t reply her. But when I got to Atlanta, we agreed to meet. There was no r*pe and you can deduce this from the recordings she released. There was consensual s*x, no doubt. Or, how would you describe a woman who travelled down to my hotel and made out with me, only to start a tirade? She is just being mischievous.

Nick had also been banned by the Houston & Brown family from visiting her and he is currently holed up somewhere in Orlando, Florida.

Basketmouth Apologizes To Davido & D’Banj Over MTV MAMAs Diss! Says He Was Taken Out Of Context!

This week is proving to be a week of public apologies, first Maje apologized to his wife Toke Makinwa for his alleged indiscretion and now comedian Basketmouth has tendered an apology to D’Banj and Davido.
The stand up comic who is currently taking his comedy routine across the United States threw shade at the two artistes over their MTV MAMA awards wins. DBanj won the Evolution award while Davido won Best Male Act at the ceremony which went down on the 18th July in Durban, South Africa.
Thousands of miles away in Houston stand up comic Basketmouth was throwing shade at the two of them.

He told an audience,

When they were doing the awards. P’Square, they won like 2 awards, best duo, Best this one. D’Banj won.. I don’t know why. (crowd laughter). Then Davido won above WizKid, which is quite strange, but it’s allowed.. It’s allowed

The video which showed him saying it went viral before it was deleted and I guess Basketmouth started feeling bad about his comments because about half an hour ago, he took to his official page to say sorry to Davido and D’Banj. He wrote,

@iambangalee and@davidoofficial my sincere apologies for what I said, it was taken out of context, It was a build up to a joke and was edited to make it look like I was dissing you guys. I’m honestly sorry…..one love guys. When I’m back from my tour….we meet up and drink up…..#water

Sounds to me like Basketmouth was really saying how he feels…and besides comedians throw shade all the time…will they start apologizing to everyone.

I had no idea President Muhammadu Buhari‘s son Yusuf accompanied him on his trip to the United States until I saw this statement from the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, explaining why Buhari took his son as part of his 33 man delegation to Washington DC.

According to the statement Buhari did nothing wrong taking Yusuf with him. Comparing it to when Bill Clinton visited Nigeria with his dughter Chelsea. He wrote,


There is absolutely nothing wrong with the president travelling with one of his sons. It is an acceptable and standard practice. He could go with up to four members of his family. Don’t forget that when former President Bill Clinton visited Nigeria while he was in office, he came with his daughter, Chelsea

Yesterday [July 23], Nigerian/American rapper was at the White House, were he joined forces with First Lady Michelle Obama and Terrence J (E! News) to use their star power to encourage kids to go to college.

During the 2015 Beating the Odds Summit to the White House Wale also brought the house down with a performance and guess who made a surprise appearance? The Number 1 citizen of the country – President Barrack Obama. The DC raised rapper was rocking a custom shirt by Zini Couture as he posed it up with Obama.

However Wale was criticised by some Twitter users for not being suited up & “presentable” in his outfit, but Wale clapped back saying,

Timaya is questioning the MTV MAMA awards over, what he calls the “politics” of the organization.

On Saturday night during the 5th edition of the MAMA awards in South Africa, The Dem Mama Records boss who was in the United States at the time took to Instagram to post a pic of himself on a pay phone, which he captioned with some well served shade to the awards organisers.

Nigerian Singer Rotimi Reveals He Was Meant To Play Hakeem On Empire

Nigerian/American singer Rotimi is currently playing a drug dealer on the hit primetime TV show – Power (if you don’t watch it you are on a LONG thing!).

However on a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, he revealed he was meant to play the role of Hakeem Lyon, the rapper son of Lucious Lyon on the monster hit TV show – Empire. The role eventually went to Bryshere “Yazz” Gray.

In the interview which attended alongside 50 cent, the executive producer of Power, Rotimi said,

It was down to me, Quincy (Combs) & Yazz actually & then Quincy dropped out and it was down to me & Yazz. At the time they were telling me, “I got it. it’s yours, you’re the guy”. So I start looking for places in Chicago. I was signing on my lease and everything & I was having meetings with networks. It got to the point where I was turning down offers from other shows because I thought I was gonna be on it.

I turned down a couple of things. Like Star wars

He also reveals he could never have played the role of the gay son on the show (Jamal Lyons) and won’t play the gay character
