Singer Tiwa Savage is the final trimester of her pregnancy and due to have her first child any day now.

No one knows how it feels to carry a child except a woman who has carried one and yesterday the Doro Diva who is in the UK awaiting the arrival of her first child, a baby boy took to Facebook to express how her pregnancy has had her feeling a range of emotions as well as thanking her hubby Tee Billz for allowing her getaway with so much.

The very last part of pregnancy can be very emotional … A part of you just wants the baby out because of the physical strain it has over your whole body but a part of you will miss those precious private moments that only you and your baby share…moments when your baby kicks or moves and only both of you experience it, when you feel hiccups or when you know when baby is sleeping or awake…this is the most spiritual, emotional, physical journey I have ever been through and I will miss getting away with so much lol especially with hubby, like him getting me food in the middle of the night, helping me put my shoe on, comforting me while I’m crying over silly things like its raining outside or because I feel unattractive. Davido Launches Clothing Line, Starting With A Range Of “OBO” T-Shirts

Davido has just launched his own clothing line called HKN Gang Wears.

The pop star made the announcement last night on Instagram sharing with fans pictures of T-shirt customised with his new logo – OBO Baddest which is also the name of his second album, due to drop soon.

The clothing line for now has only started with t-shirts, a black and white tee each sold for $30 (approximately – N5970) on his website. The 22 year old who just became a father assured his fans that more designs & clothes including headwarmers will be added soon.

Fire Outbreak At Kate Henshaw’s Lagos Home Caused By NEPA

Yesterday [June 25] at about 3pm, parts of  Nollywood actress/politician, Kate Henshaw’s Lagos home was gutted by fire. The incident occured after electricity was restored by PHCN (Power Holding Company Of Nigeria) and the electricity surge sparked off one of the air conditioners in her home, causing a fire outbreak. Luckily neighbours quickly came to her rescue and were able to contain the fire from spreading.

No one was harmed in the incident which occurred on Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1 in Lagos.

Shortly after the incident her Nollywood colleague Rita Dominic took to Instagram to send Henshaw a message consoling her on the fire. She wrote

Keep the faith hun and trust in God because he’s ever capable.. You will be blessed continually so rejoice in the Lord, it is well..?@k8henshaw

In a recent interview with NET, the vocal powerhouse gave us an insight into how he earns money as a music artiste. Revealing

I make my money from shows. Because you don’t see me on these publicised music concerts doesn’t mean I don’t get shows. I make money performing at corporate events. I get paid well for performing at birthday and private parties….

The father of three also goes on to reveal how he used to hawk pure water and plantain chips while growing up in Port Harcourt


I grew up with my grandmother in Port Harcourt. I grew up to know that my grandmother was my only parent. She used to have a shop at Mile 3 market in Port Harcourt. After school, I would join her at the market. I hawked pure water, plantain chips etc. I did a lot of hustling as a young boy. But the truth is, what I went through while growing up made me who I am today, the experience taught me that hard work pays.

He also discloses that after winning the West African Idol singing competition in 2007, life was still very tough for him and he didn’t even have money to pay his producer,

The big break didn’t come immediately after Idol. Despite the fact that I won the competition, it was very tough for me when I started my career. I had problems such that I didn’t know my left from right. It was very tough for me and winning the competition put a huge pressure on me, people were expecting me to hit the ground running but nothing was happening. I wasn’t releasing songs; I didn’t even know where to go from there. I later met Cobhams, I told him I may not have money to pay you now but I will pay you someday, let’s start making music and that was how my story changed.

Big Brother Africa couple Pokello Nare from Zimbabwe and Elikem Kumordzi (from Ghana) have been together since they both left the BBA house in July 2013. The couple got engaged after Elikem’s public proposal at the Ghana Music Awards in May 2014 but back in November shortly after their engagement the couple had a very messy and public break up after they had a huge row on Instagram over a 46 year old woman Elikem admitted he’d had an ongoing affair with. Some supporters claimed the watch was a knock off costing $129. But regardless it was seen as something of a PR gaffe.

Her ring was entirely handmade in Platinum. It took about 40 man hours to individually set 124 round brilliant diamonds on the band and the halo with a beautiful engraving on the inside of the ring.

If you are broke and someone tries to help you out financially, shouldn’t you swallow your pride and graciously accept their help? The drama between The Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola and Senator Ben Murray Bruce of Bayelsa State over unpaid salaries and wardrobe allowance is playing out for all to see.

Yesterday Murray-Bruce a newly elected Senator, chairman of the Silverbird Group who is becomin quite populr on Twitter let it be known that he will be donating his wardrobe allowance to workers of Osun State who are owed seven months salaries.

The Governor of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola, did not take kindly to Bruce’s largess, calling it ungodly and wicked. He replied to the Senator in a statement which read

My attention has been drawn to a tweet by a member of Upper chamber of the National Assembly Senator Ben Murray Bruce of the Peoples Democratic Party from Bayelsa saying he will not reject the alleged hefty pay for members of the National Assembly but collect it and donate to Osun workers.It is saddening and tragic that Mr. Murray Bruce whom many had accorded a lot of respect is too early in the day joining the fray of politicisation and trivialising the salary issue affecting more than half of the states of the federation in this ridiculous manner.
While Nigerians are in hot debate over the alleged jumbo pay and the mood of the country Murray Bruce seems to have turned the plight of Nigerian workers to a thing of an entertainment.
Of all the states in the federation who are battling to pay salaries as a result of the precarious economic situation his party the PDP threw Nigeria into why is it that it is Osun he wants to take his pay to? This is certainly playing to the gallery and nothing but a mockery in the faces of Nigerian workers and not only of Osun extraction. It is not only wicked but ungodly to play politics with the suffering of the people.
If the Senator’s conscience tells him his pay is too high especially in the face of the prevailing economic predicament of Nigeria the most honourable thing to do is to lead a protest for reduction and not a self serving philanthropy only in the direction of Osun workers.

But Bruce still insists he will do what his conscience asks him to and that is donate to the unpaid Osun State workers. Today he tweeted,


It is interesting to note that Bruce is representing Bayelsa and offering to help Osun State workers.

About a month ago, OAP Shine Begho of COOL FM who presented the morning show with Mannie as one of the angels on The Good Morning Nigeria Show quietly left the station. In an EXCLUSIVE with that1960chick.com the media personality who JOINED the station in 2011 and also presented “The Sunday Chill Out Zone and Tweet with Shine” reveals why she left the popular Lagos radio station saying,

Cool FM no doubt was a great platform, I just wanted to grow with the platform and my brand, that was the plan,I had given myself two years and I would make a huge mark, but it was more than two years, I felt stagnant, growth was extremely slow. I don’t play politics. No matter how hard I worked to prove myself it felt like there was a negative force trying to take me down. So i thought to myself, “is this the best place, is this all I can do?”. In an organization were favoritism was the ORDER of the day and I put in work. I needed a change.

She went on to add that things at the station got worse for her when she tied the knot with Seth Usanga (Stylist & Fashion Designer) in February earlier this year. Shine told us,

Things got worse after I got married, less than two months after getting married, I was told to go to move to Cool FM Abuja. My married life just started! I can’t leave my husband just like that! My position wasn’t considered at all even though I begged for MANAGEMENT to see reason!

It came across to me they didn’t care about my new life. They said my husband didn’t have a say in this decision and indirectly told me to choose between my JOB and my marriage. Of course I choose my marriage! It was not a hard decision to make, I have been taken for granted, I have been stagnant, it was time to make a change.

So what is Shine Begho up to now that she’s no longer at Cool FM? She tells us

I decided to man up and take a bold step, I quit. NOW I do free lance presenting & MC-ing work and I’m in the process of starting up my own media COMPANY – Vendrika Media. Thank God for the support of a good husband, we are in this together so now I am about to shoot my own TV shows while also presenting syndicated radio shows like the “Spirit of success party” radio show that airs every Friday at 9.30pm on all Rhythm Fm radio stations nationwide. Since I left coolfm it’s been a blessing, it’s time to own my own thing, it’s not going to be easy but the end result is going to be huge and am excited.

She tells us more about her media company

Vendrika Media is the name of the production company owned by my husband and I, we will be producing my TV shows that will air on different platforms. The show is also in partnership with AVF1, they saw the potential of how different my shows are going to be and together both COMPANIES are going to change the game of television shows in Nigeria God willing.

I joined Cool FM in 2011 before then I was with other radio stations doing my thing, I already had a CAREER and a voice on radio before joining Coolfm which was my dream radio station, I remember the first time I sent my CV to Ccool FM, I didn’t get a call back maybe because I didn’t have a radio experience that was in 2007, so I became a TV presenter, but always wanted to have that radio experience and my opportunity came in 2008 , I went back to cool FM and this time I had a call back and that day I was on the front page of a newspaper, it was awesome it felt good, I got the job with my dream radio station.

Such a shame things ended with Cool FM the way it did, we wish Shine all the best as she embarks on new VENTURES!

72 Year Old President Buhari Admits His Age Will Limit His Performance As President?

During the presidential campaigns PDP frequently brought up Muhammadu Buhari‘s age as a factor that could impede his performance as president and the then opposition APC stood firm that it wouldn’t.

However according to a Punch report while 72 year old President Buhari was speaking with Nigerians resident in South Africa on Monday (June 15) after the 25th assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union  in Johannesburg he said,

I wish I became Head of State when I was a governor, just a few years as a young man. Now at 72, there is a limit to what I can do.


Even though he recognises he is much older now than when he became head of state for the first time at 40 years old in 1982, he gave his assurance to Nigerians that his administration will make a difference. He reiterated his promise to KILL corruption before it wrecks the country.

He said,

Our government is determined to secure the country, manage the economy, create employment and fight corruption. Some articulate writers have said if we do not kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria. This APC administration intends to kill corruption in Nigeria. We will do our best, I assure you

I don’t think 72 is too old and I am convinced because of his advanced age Buhari is more concerned about leaving the right legacy than chopping money and pleasing political godfathers. I believe that legacy is to get Nigeria on the right track.

He only became a dad 2 months ago, but much like Chris Brown, 22 year old Davido has easily taken to fatherhood.

Showing how hands on he is with his baby whom he had with 29 year old Sophie Momodu, the pop star shared a picture of him cradling his little one while feeding her.

He also let his fans know he was feeding her and putting her to bed so he could go put the finishing touches to his new album.


He wrote,

As a fan of Chris Brown’s I really want him to get his life together. Every time he takes one step forward he then takes ten steps back and this has become rather frustrating for his hardcore fans.

Last week he publicly embarrassed himself when he forced himself into his ex girlfriend Karrueche Tran’s car and followed her and her friends home like a stalker, she rebuffed him and pretty much told him it was over. And last night he blasted her after she spoke about her relationship with him in a recent interview, telling her to stop doing interviews about him since she no longer wants to be with him.

Honestly, it’s so f–king pointless to keep doing interviews about me. Talk about your career. If there is no more relationship then u shouldn’t be doing f–king interviews with people I won’t let get the pleasure of prying into my personal life. S–t starting to get real weak now.
