huawei is good also, it's been long since I used emui last (huawei honor 3c), but even then it was quite good, themes, fonts were all there. That's like 5 years ago. They'll have definitely improved now

That was Xiaomi, not Huawei. It was Jumia Global. You're not required to pay before delivery when ordering Huawei Y9 2019.

The only option I saw on Jumia disabled pay on delivery

I don't even have time to start trying rubbish with Jumia. Last time I tried ordering from there was a tv and they delivered a tv with bluish lines on the screen. I know the stress I passed through in returning the thing and getting my money back

I didn't find it there. I've been hearing stories from some nairalanders about how they placed orders for it on jumia and didn't get their delivery and all that...
Even the one product I managed to see on Jumia had 2 reviews and 1 was of someone complaining of having ordered the phone since 3 weeks and it still not being delivered

if you don't mind the unlockable bootloader of a thing, the huawei is a good buy. EMUI too is great, plenty features like miui, you also get a better chipset too

What I'm most particular about in terms of the UI is the design and if it can be customised a lot (like xiaomi has tons of themes that you can work out)

I think it's a mixbag for me as the rn6pro edges out on camera picture quality but not with enough gap to make me not pick the Huawei y9 over it.

yeah, I just did that. There are a lot of comparisons btw it and the Redmi 6 pro and it wasnt really slouching. I think its main flaw should be its build quality as it has a plastic finish as opposed to the usual metal finish others use

I want to order a protective case for redmi 5 plus but don't want to wait a whole month or more for it. Is there express delivery for such little things?

Mine came with bootloader unlocked because global version had to be installed into it and all that. The moment I switched it on and it received network, I got a notification to update to miui 9.5 and I did.

Only thing is that that find my device has refused to work even after the update. Every other thing is PERFECT

First confirm if you bootloader is unlocked. Settings - About phone - tap miui version like 7 times to enable developer options. Then go back to settings - Additional settings - Developer options - Mi unlock status.

Wait, if bootloader is unlocked, find my device doesn't work?? Because mine is unlocked
